I need to know how it mounts
Hey do you have a video on how you did the doors
Yes I'm going to make a new video on that
Would a 00-06 door panel fit in my 97 obs?
@@joseloya6612 no they did not fit I made mine to fit and I still have to finish customizing the door panels
is the bezel same as 03-06 silverado?
@@baggedchevy yes
@@frankstoys4261 thanks i appreciate it
@@baggedchevy no problem good luck on your ride 😎🤙
I did this swap and my oil pressure don’t show up and my gas is backwards too any ideas
@@yvnglvrry1821 probably your PCM. I have the same problem with mine but only because I'm using the different PCM when I put back the original PCM that works fine. So I have to program my Silverado PCM to accept the door clock and unlock
i have a 94 sierra and i wanna put the 95 dash in it is that possible?
Yes you can get it to fit but I believe they're both different. You got to keep in mind that the wiring is different on the 95. But if that's not an issue for you then you should be okay. But keep in mind that the bracket that holds the steering column is different you might have to drill out the factory welds and replace it with a 95 bracket I'm not quite sure what you're doing but if you're going to keep it stock for the 94 I don't believe the wiring is going to work for that 94 . Do your homework and research . 95 works for 95 96 97 and 98 are pretty much the same but a little different in options of which vehicle it is...so like if you were going to LS swap your truck then you would have to wire it into the 95 dash that goes the same for every different year. Now if you were just wanting it to work for your 94 stock engine and transmission it's not going to work the column is different and so is the wiring. Good luck
@@frankstoys4261 thank you man, yeah i wanna ls swap it. I found the 95 dash with the cup holders on the dash, and i found some 95 doors with the panels, and inner shield i just need the wiring but i didn’t know if it would fit. thank you though bro that really does help a lot. do you have any tips
@@YNDloyalty rite aid do list and take one task at a time . Good luck bro😎🤙
@@frankstoys4261 sorry to bother you but i wanted to ask bro, should i ls swap it then do the interior swap, or would it be okay if i did the interior swap now and ls swap later. what would be easiest
@@YNDloyalty whatever is in your budget. If you're going to go with that 95 dash .. then pretty much you're going to LS swap it to a 95 dash... The change happens when you marry the engine harness to the dash harness.. if you're thinking about doing the ls swap do some more research and check out platform so that you understand what you're going to be heading into .
I know this is an older video man but id appreciate it if you could tell me if you cut the plastic pieces of the dash ik you made brackets
@@blaingrover7620 yes I cut a lot of parts mainly just trim . Trim the dash pad area where the window glass is. Modified and cut the aluminum bracket under the dash made passenger and driver side brackets to hold the new dash also had to modify the cab cut and trim areas were pinched welds were at. Also keep in mind dash does not fit well with original door panels and doors I had to modify the doors as well . I will be making a new video soon updating and finishing up the truck
@@frankstoys4261thank you i appreciate it a lot
What muffler / exhaust u got on it
Can you conversation the gmc from 99-02 to 03-06 interior and the electrical harnesses
@@loosescrow yes
You should be able to use 03-06 interior on the 99-02 the clusters are different because of the wiring harness also the AC control is different from the newer model. Like my truck is a Silverado and I have the Yukon dash in my truck the reason why I did this so that I can have power to my doors there's other ways of wiring the doors but I didn't want to go that route I wanted everything to function the way it function in the Yukon .... In order for me to use the Yukon steering column I needed to relearn the key from the PCM to my Silverado pretty easy to do .. there are videos on TH-cam how to relearn the key.. the reason why you have to do this so that the PCM and the body control module recognize the key
So I put a 2003 gmc Yukon Denali steering wheel in my 2006 Chevy Silverado and now my truck won’t start what could be the problem. JUST THE STEERING WHEEEL thank you
@@andresramirez9880 the key has to be relearned it's a security issue I don't have a video on it but you can research it on TH-cam
@@andresramirez9880 I had to do the same key ignition needs to be relearned
@@andresramirez9880 hope this works for you
that song in the beginning is nice. tried rapping to it but I don't know what im doing. fun regardless.
Im working on this mod for my 97. Other than the holes for the HVAC did you modify the cowl? Do you have any pictures/ video of The modifications you made to the dash ie of the mounts, aluminum block, the top 4 bolts to the fire wall? I'm tempted to go back and cut the firewall out of the escalade.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes you can use a lot of factory parts. Don’t let anyone tell you any different either
Can I get some info on this process?
@@StoneyBurq I explain a little bit more on the obs dash bored on the 2005 Silverado installation of dashboard the daily
Cool idea seats need tlc
I got a 98 gmc sierra 4.3 v6 vortec has oil and trans cooler lines. Would I need to use a 5.3 radiator or could the 4.3 v6 vortec work. It’s a stock 5.3 nothing done to it
Yes you should be able to use your OBS one with the fan. Good luck with your project you are going to like the power that the 5.3 has 😊🤙
The 4.3 works fine, if anything get a trans cooler later, but the obs radiator looks clean and you can get some electric fans from a 2003-2006 Chrysler Pacifica they fit perfect you just got to make minor adjustments.
Cant wait bro. Just subbed
Thank you I'm going to add you in the free giveaway please share 😊👍
Me and my uncle are doing the same to his truck I was wondering if the dash needs to be cut by windshield side or if it’s good as is we got a 2001 Chevy Silverado dash hopefully I hear back….. nice project keep up the good work
yes dash needs to be cut and welded left and right side I customized the firewall and added brackets on the inside of the card to support the new dash also modified the dash customize, the aluminum block of metal under the new dash also added brackets and nuts, so I can mount the new dash
I’m planning to do the same thing on my 98 Chevy Silverado and I have the complete 04 Escalade with interior and engine and I wanted to find out Is Dash exchange difficult to do or not at all?
The dash is not a easy one lot of cutting on dash and in the cab . I had to modify the firewall and cab for the dash because the dash is bigger wider and deeper then the obs dash . I'm going to make a new video on how I customize the dash and the cab
@@frankstoys4261 yes please do because that’s what I’m planning to do on my 98 Silverado and I’ll be anxiously waiting for those videos so I can see what you did. Thank you.
Need info. Doing the same thing on mine.
hey brother question, i have a 99 chevy dually and im looking for rear fenders but i cant seem to find them.. any chance you know a shop ? or where to buy them?
Online , just search up “1999 Chevy dually rear fenders” and more likely they will show up. Usually they around $1000 for the pair.

I’d love to know more about the dash swap. Looking to do an 05 Escalade dash in a 93 dually. I have everything to do it I’m pretty sure including a firewall and floor from a gmt800 if it’s needed
How hard was swap the dash on the obs Do you have more videos ?
I will be making a video on swapping the 99-06 dash but it's not a easy one a lot of cutting and welding to the factory parts of the NBS and the OBS cab . please be patient with me and I do this type of work on my free time and at the moment I'm still trying to get single cab going thank you guys for following my channel and interest of my built 😎🤙💯👊
I use my iPhone as well. Keep the videos coming. Working on an OBS is great content.
Thank you I just love the OBS trucks and happy to help other people out there with their trucks 👊😊 and I will do that thanks . I watch your videos to nice truck 🙂👍
