내가 찾던 보물이 여기에 있군
Dead sure I have Ireland veins in me love the music, your rugby and your people Saluut.
That vibrato, man - accelerating. Beautiful control, the best I’ve heard.
Beautiful!!!!!
This is so gorgeous, it speaks to the soul and is my favorite low D whistle song
Dont need video images of a landscape to support this. When i shut my eyes i can see everything as sharp as a razor.
These images are amazing. As for the MK whistle i dont have one. Yet. I do have a whole heap of flutes though. The playing wasnt bad either 😅
Está la toco con corta, luego la tocaré con la larga que es la que aquí suena
Many years ago I discovered this video. It made me decide to start learning the low whistle and eventually buy an MK whistle. Since then, I've played along many times with this video. I still find it as stunningly beautiful as the first time I've heard it, and I still come back a lot of times to listen to it. Thank you!
I want the chord tabs for this
Beautifully performed. Thanks for sharing. The photos are great too. The photo of the "bog body" which I think is probably a statue reminded me of a research paper I did way back in high school about the bog people of Ireland.
Amazing performance! I'm actually curious how is the vibrato done, by hand or with your breath?
Thank you, while vibrato is traditionally done using the fingers on low whistle, I used breath on this one as it gave me more nuanced control.
Hey Kevin, you probably don't use this account any more but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your videos and come back to them often 🙂
Stunning whistle playing! Thank you for sharing.
Unreal sounds from a surreal player with a real flute
Your breath control is amazing, Kevin. A truly plaintive version with great variations
So sad yet stunningly beautiful.
Really emotional♥️
I have chills...A stunningly beautiful sound and rendition.
Holy crap, it sounds amazing. Now I want to buy a flute myself.
good for you
Low D whistle not the flute...
I did finally after listening to this song about a thousand times but I’m a long way off playing this song
Beautiful ❤️
Nice 👍. Nice touch with the guitar as well.
Well Keven as a young man I left Ireland . But Ireland never left me at 67 this slow air calls me home thank you
From where can I buy this whistle please, thankyou
search for a Low D whistle made by MK whistles
This deserves so many more likes and views. It is outstandingly beautiful.
Beautiful ...
Great work love the aaiiiirrre
This for me ranks among the top low whistle recordings available on TH-cam . It’s a beautifully sad old air anyway but your use of breath control which is phenomenal combined with the way you bend out some of those notes gives this recording such a haunting and beautifully evocative quality . I’d love to hear your interpretations of some other Irish slow airs but I can only seem to find you doing Native American flute music?
Thank you for your kind words! Unfortunately I don’t play much whistle these days due to chronic tendinitis. Native flute doesn’t seem to bother it as much as the whistles do. That said I hope to record a few more whistle pieces for my eventual album release. Thanks again for listening!
This track is such a favourite of mine among the plethora of material on TH-cam. It has such soulfulness Kevin, but you know that. First class, sir, and an inspiration to this old aussie in the tropics. I wish you could/would post more of these. Best wishes with your health and happiness.
El dragón que emergió de las tinieblas by Peregrino Gris
This deserves more attention. Absolutely beautiful.
The amount of times I've came back over the years to listen to this is astounding. Hauntingly beautiful.

Mr. Reams, this is one of the best performances on a low whistle, period. Is there any way I could purchase a high quality mp3 for my own listening purposes?
Thank you for your kind words! Unfortunately I do not have an mp3 available for distribution yet, but this tune will be included on an album I am currently working on for future release, thanks!
@@medit8b1 thank you for the response. I look forward to your upcoming album.

Absolutely beautiful, on my short list for learning.

I felt like I was in Ireland wow thank you so much your incredible
Beautifully played, thank you.
😢😢😢😢😢
Gorgeously done!
The hardest thing about playing the tin whistle is breath control. I’m learning, and it’s been fun, but holy cow it’s so hard to not run out of breath every three seconds lol
You gotta master nose to mouth breathing, it helps a lot.
I happened upon Low Whistle by odd chance after years of being a vocalist. Playing low whistle is like breathing song into an otherwise soundless piece of pipe. It is an external larynx.
As wind instrument players, we all umderatand that playing every note is almost impossible. On the whistle specifically, look for a quarter (or longer) note at the end of a phrase and cut it short. Use the gained time to take the breath. Maybe forgo an ornament in favor of a breath. Often, within a phrase, a note (the 2nd is a likely candidate often) can be dropped without losing the flow or the rhythm. It is defi itely a skill to be mastered, but you will get it through experience and trial-and-error.
Beautiful! ❤️
Its funny you commented on this! I've been searching for a tutorial for this song and I see you just posted one!. I've probably listened to this version 100 times already. 😂
