@@YGOrganizationQuincymccoy I have faith that the second wave will deliver, Mitsurugi really only needs one or two more good main deck monsters as their first wave has given them enough already.

@pvzbronygodgaming8476 yeah, sometimes that's just how the cookie crumbles. There's another one like that set this month, and then I had to completely redo a Vendread profile I hate made prior to the new TCG WP support. But it happens!

@VHunterD haha yes, Upstart can be fun. As far as Hedgehog, my only concern is that it is a Level 4, so if it gets disrupted, you're stuck with something that isn't even half of your first R3NK, unlike Ken/Gen. Not sure how much that will ultimately matter, but it's something!

@YGOrganizationQuincymccoy Hedgehog is hella cute though! Sometimes that's all that matters. I think it's fine right now but after the new support it's going to be obsolete since you'll most likely not run hunter dragon for it anyway.

Yes. There are too many Pendulum decks waiting for there own Link monster. Alone the waiting of an odd-eyes Link monster. I mean all other Yu-boys of Arc-V got thier Link, where is the odd-eyes/performapal Link monster.

Pure Cyber Dragon does have strong plays for sure, but I don't think they can put out 5 omni-negates with a single card. Please correct me if I'm wrong here - I'd love to learn more about that combo. And Eternity was just a card I considered before ultimately being cut, but I do stand behind Over Future being useful in this.

@@YGOrganizationQuincymccoy You ended with 4 negates at most. Cyber Dragon does IP/SP/Azurune + Infinity + Therion + Heosvarog off 1 single card (Core). Cyberdark is just a subengine now, and it's sad.

Again, please tell me where I went wrong, but i don't see that 1-card Core combo you're describing. The best combo I came up with when thinking that through ends on Therion, Varog, Cyberdark Wurm, and 2 material for an IP or SP. In short, I'm still missing the second level 5 to make Nova, get another free mon, and then make Infinity. And I don't think it's fair to say they're just a subengine now when they've never stood on their own as a standalone deck. If anything, I'm actually impressed they designed cards that allowed the two themes to be played together for a higher powdr ceiling that you can't get from a pure Cydra deck.

You make SP with Clockwork, Therion, then Rampage with PB, dump Nachster and Jormungandr overlay into Nova revive Nachster revive Jorm and make Heosvarog. That's 4 off 1 single Core. The higher ceiling thing isn't a thing anymore. With the Cyber Strike support, the two decks were differentiated with Cyberdark having higher ceiling going first and Cyber Dragon being more explosive. Now Cyber Dragon can put a board going first with less resources than Cyberdark and got more consistent, too. If they want, they can even turbo out Cyberdarkness by not running any of Horn/Edge/Keel but they don't because it's not a good card. I'd argue the only thing Cyberdarks have going for them is the Invasion resource loop, which is undersupported by Konami and can't be done if you turbo the fusions. So we're now stuck being a subengine in Cyber Dragon with Claw/Wurm/Chimera all being fodder for Rampage/Infinity turbo and having nothing to do with Equip cards.

Huh, thanks. I'll have to look into the combos more, I feel like that might be enough of a reason to run Cyber Dragon competitively post-ALIN. All that said, I still disagree with you saying that Cyberdarkness isn't a good card. It a themed boss that can negate more than most generic bosses, and i don't know what more you could actually want from it. Sure, it takes a lot of material, but that doesn't make it a bad card. Yes, you may be right that you don't have to run as many of the older Cyberdarks anymore, but for now, I'm willing to keep them in to sate my nostalgia. Either way - thanks for sharing, I'll definitely be looking into Cydra as a deck for myself now haha.

Murmillo is definitely something I'd remove in hindsight, but I am strongly in favor of keeping Bestiari. Yes, Gyzarus can destroy both monsters and S/Ts, but without Bestiari, you are dependant on editor to get to Gyzarus. And to get to editor, you need multiple lv 5+, which means you already should have a good enough hand to break an opponent's board. But in cases where you don't, Bestiari still helps.

I have only one replay up on my channel from a few months ago right now, but if you were interested I could showcase some real duels. I've been making this deck for years and it has done very well at the locals level.
