Bro, I can speak so much about the preset design that you get stock within your plugins. There is so much holding companies back from actually developing quality USABLE presets. So I'm always impressed when plugin companies actually go in on giving you high quality sounds right out the box.

I think it's a really well-thought out product, I just wish it had notation/score display (some of us musicians _think_ in terms of notation).

I originally wanted to get Logic Pro but it’s sadly only on Apple Which is f ing bull crap because Apple would allow “Apple music” on windows but not Logic Pro because they are greedy. ( I’m a cubase user)

Bitwig has a very hand made feel too it. It doesn't feel like a program. It feels like a synthesizer I can actually use. It makes you want to to play with it. Rather than program it.

This is interesting, try opening advanced settings (ctrl+enter and look for advanced word) then change graphics system, tree to choose Direct3D, Vulcan and OpenGL. Bitwg is as well using GPU, laptops can have two graphic cards, so check which one Bitwig is using.

I use FL and Bitwig never choose one just both. The piano roll in bitwig is a match with FL When you work on zoom

Blurred plugins weren't the only issue with BW 5.2. I use a 3 display layout on Bitwig and after the HW acceleration in BW 5.2 was introduced, each time I set BW to more than one display in its settings, the whole GUI got incredibly laggy and the CPU meter jumped wildly to up to 50% without any workload. Only on "one display" the lag was gone and the CPU worked as intended. I contacted their support and they checked the root cause as well. After some time the support engineer recommended to check the same setting you mentioned and switch to another method than DirectX. I picked Vulkan and everything works perfectly just like in any older BW version. I also appreciated that they dropped the new MSIX installer as it forced BW on my system drive and it was not moveable afterwards. But it's interesting to know that the HW GUI acceleration caused more than one issue :)

Bitwig is my fav!!!

I purposely put my names by vendor. It starts at a folder level when I'm installing stuff. If you leave it up to the vendor some will install the folders for the plugin by vendor>name of plugin>plugin file. Thats fine. Others will just straight up throw it all in the directory you give, all types of files and folders, then they mix with other plugins...stuff stops working right. The vst2 vstplugins directory sucked, but when vst3 came out they done all the extra stuff for you to keep it organized. In the daw I usually remember but search ill hit like h and it'll bring me to it. I also like just the thubnail views most daws give you now seems quicker.

Feel the same way, Splice is def great but I just dont use it enough to justify getting notifications that tell me I just paid $19.99!

What I like the most about Bitwig: - I don't need any plugins - the grid makes understanding how synths and effects work easier - the modulations!

Looks like you’re on Windows, so my guess is that you have your screen’s DPI scaling set to something above 100%. Lots of plugins don’t have vector-drawn UIs, so they have to stretch their UI, which is probably designed for 100% DPI scaling, to whatever your screen is set to. This stretching can cause blurriness.

Ableton has a big issue with plugins, what the hell? Your a DAW, also with hot pluging too! That kills them on the spot, dam engineers! They want to lock you in their world. Studio One can't lock me in, I always forget it. FL Studio is too nessed, I wont waste my time learning it. I can't believe anyone would design that kind of interface! Good sounds that I take thru the vsti. ? Bitwig is a worthy replacement!

From FL to Studio one 7 a month ago now. It was hard at first cause FL it's kind of like a child's new toy that keeps you in a comfort bubble.

just started with Bitwig about 2 days ago. FL Studio 2024 was crashing every session for me..crashed on exporting audio every time at the end

I like the way it does vsts! Every vst has it own recourses, that's powerful! 5.2 is here with two updates so far.

did you find out where you got the chord pack from? I'm SonicPass user as well.

I hear that a lot about the midi in s1. I never got FL to be correct in time. I’ve had fl since v2. lol. When I got a midi drum kit I Tryed s1 again. Worked without issues once I setup the midi instrument. Always been on windows though. Always precise for me. Even recorded the audio of hitting drum pads and a loop back to see if the midi aligned. I’ve been on s1 for 9 years since v3. I left FL and pro tools for it.

At this point, any DAW's gonna have those 2 or 3 things you hate, but they're all capable of getting the job done. You just gotta choose one, lock in with it and figure it out from the inside out.

I have wanted to buy Bitwig, for a while, I used Live with the Push2, now When I pull the trigger on Bitwig I would need to be able to incorporate the Push. I love they way this sound and look

Sorry, but Bitwig is unfinished behind its bling-bling marketing. That would be acceptable if they would improve the core of their DAW instead of adding bells and whistles that are badly integrated. It was marketed as a Live killer and we end up with an evoluted toy.
