The play was blown dead at 8:38 in the 4th because the horn on the scoreboard went off. It wasn't because of the band.
GAMES OVER! GAMES OVER! GAMES OVER! GAMES OVER!! OUR GUYS WIN! OUR GUYS WIN! GAMES OVER! GAMES OVER! SEE I TOLD'JA!! SEE I TOLD'JA!! OUR GUYS WIN! GAMES OVER!! Absolutely most amateur, unskilled and stupid game announcing ever!! Think I'll forward this to the late night talk shows for a laugh.
Not only that, but as a common courtesy, most broadcast high school games show BOTH and HEAR both bands performing at halftime. Instead these clowns talk all over Kilgore's performance but not Gilmore's. Was this intentional rudeness? The bands are what a lot of people want to see AND HEAR. Really cheap shot guys!
And by the way, the word is pronounced 'right' not ''rat.'

I live in longview and I really enjoyed the radio play calling and got addicted and looked forward to each game. I also understand that coach is a Christian and is not afraid to share that to anyone. I’ve heard that from faculty as well as people in the community. That’s awesome!

I don't live in Gilmer. I live in Longview but I did watch the last 4 games of the season and the State championship game a the Gilmer Buckeye played there hearts out. Congratulations to the Buckeyes on there State Championship Win.

In that game which was a good one the fast count Brahmas got some very bad calls in terms of illegal motion calls. The backfield can go into motion before the snap as long as it is lateral and not forward which it was. Yet they called a motion penalty. Either way congratulations to the Gilmer defense coaching staff for a good game plan !
A player can’t go into motion before all 11 players are set for at least one second. Bellville sometimes was too fast in lining up to allow their players to properly set.

Gilmer is a phenomenal team but these announcers are full of themselves. Need to take some lessons from the China Spring announcers.
The broadcasters speak over each other every 5 seconds.

i tip my hat Gilmer for getting the win, Gilmer clearly was out coached the last 2 and a half minutes of regulation. gotta coach kids about time management and Gilmer did NOT! you are winning at the 1:56 mark left in game. you have 1st down and 10 and Cartage just used last time out go as slow as possible shoot tell rb to sit down after getting ball or do whatever EXCEPT score! Classic example of what maybe a good coach and what is a great coach!

Well, that was certainly unexpected. What an exciting High School f’ball game! It would rival any championship game in in any classification. Depending on what happens next week the buckeyes could be in the Final game. What an incredible season and an incredible journey for these boys. Way to go Gilmer!
Congratulations from an Aubrey Chap parent. My son (#10) has always told me how good you guys have been this past decade. Especially when we pass by every year on I20 on our family trip to the beach. It was an exciting game and I wish The Buckeyes much luck finishing the year!

You guys do a great job of doing these broadcasts. I live in L’view and live stream as many East Texas high school games as I can and your play calling is the absolute best. If you guys were to be radio sportscasters and if I were to be listening at home I would be able to easily visualize what’s going on every single play.
