Something about the way JoCat says, "Try getting behind this Wall of Holiness, bitch!" just makes me chuckle.

Tanks Dark Knight- Has a great story and you can definitely pick it up at level 60. Consider it if you get bored of warrior Paladin- It's a lot of fun, and I'm more than happy to show you if you like DPS Reaper- My NA main and one of my favorite jobs. I can show you this one too (Again if you want) Ninja- Also a lot of fun! I have my anime hand signs macro'd so I don't have to worry about memorization Dancer- You've seen me play this, but once again I'm more than happy to show you how they work Bard- This is the job that has the LB3 with all the shiny arrows. They have great hats too xD Healer Astrologian- Again, this is a job you've seen me on. (Sexy librarian ftw) Super fun. Love the space aesthetic of some of their spells! Sage- My other favorite healer. I can show you this one too xD But yes, enmity is usually just called aggro or threat. As long as you have your tank stance on you'll be fine. Once you get used to staggering your mitigation it's a cakewalk. Also, having a god complex as a healer can be fun. So is playing tank limbo. How low will you go before the healer stops keeping you on your toes? NOW GET OUT THERE AND DO BEEEEEEEG DAMAGE!!! xD

Summoner is much much easier then shadowbringers. It used to have a very ststic 3 minute rotation. Now its just big summon. Fruit gummies. Next big dummo . Fruit gummies <3

As a tank main, a few things. -Everyone uses "Aggro" instead of "Emnity." -WAR is easy but really effective. Great for everything. Fewer Fell Cleaves per burst rotation in DT but the full skill kit at 100 more than makes up for it. -Once you're main tanking in 8man content, beware of passive aggressive off-tanks that'll quietly rip aggro from the main tank then trash talk when they're called out on it by the rest of the party. (Likely cuz the off-tank killed several people due to a tank cleave aimed the wrong way). -What JoCat's described for healing is what we lovingly call it "Healer Limbo." AST and SGE have the prettiest LB3's. -Slidecasting is something that's different based on your latency. If you have the "bestest" latency, you can slidecast at 0.5sec left on the cast. -While out of date, the "Break the Limit" video from the FF14 youtube channel shows all LB3's up to Shadowbringers jobs. -A video from Joonbob called "Basics of FF14" talks about things that aren't explained very well in-game, such as weaving and snapshots.

You get Raw Intuition at 54 WAR, you want to use that as often as possible, in a dungeon more or less when you finish the pull to start actually fighting. For bosses mostly on cooldown unless you know the boss is about to disappear. It has a super short cooldown and is also mitigation and healing both. It turns into Bloodwhetting at high level.

If you want a video to help you get over tanxiety, I highly reccomend LucyPyre's tanking "guide". It's... a little bit of a guide, but it'll get you in the right mindset. Also you can pick up Dark Knight now. You just have to be in Heavensward. It's story is so good they let the lady who wrote it write an entire expansion (Shadowbringers).

The game calls it enmity, but everybody calls it aggro instead. Also, remember the song at the end of the Melee DPS video? He actually made a full song out of it. The name is 'Spooky Slice'.

My GF plays a Lala. I have the /sulk emote on my hotbar because it works perfectly for punting her when she's being a problem (usually for biting my Miqo'te's tail).

I don't play WoW, and one of the reasons (among many) is the ugly character models and gear. I think WoW environments are very pretty, but the character models and clothes are just awful. FFXIV already had better character models and glam before the graphics update, but now that the 7.0 graphics update is out, it's even better. Even old areas look better because of the general improvements to lighting, grass, and textures, and the jankier character races like Roegadyn had a big glow up.

This one was my first ultimate that I cleared, and its indeed really hard, the mechanics aren't near intuitive as normal raids and there are litle window for errors, I'm not a hardcore player so it took me a couple months to finish it but the felling that I did it it's great

Part of me wished you did the ARR set of normal raids. That CGI plays again in the final tier, but with an added bonus of the old guy's fate after the mass teleportation he did. And just how significantly powerful the final boss's final transition attack was with you needing *two massive mitigations* just to barely survive with a sliver of your health. This song is a reoccuring theme throughout the MMO, because it's impact on the world is so significant that the horrors is still fresh on everyone's minds, yours especially since your character was supposed to see this first hand if you were around for 1.0, which had a unique cutscene for returning players instead of you riding in through a chocobo cart. The way it echoed just sounded like impeding doom and the world was praying for deliverance.

Has Laccre started anything with Machinist yet? If she has, then I look forward to when she starts the StB job quests for that class.

Even to this day, Haurchefant is still my favorite character in all of FFXIV. He was there for us when shit hits the fan. He encouraged us, brought us hot coco, he shielded us. I put the game down for a week after this dungeon.

I think that guitar you mentioned wanting? I think it was actually purchasable for a time. No idea if it STILL is or not, but I'm pretty sure it was, specifically as an FFXIV guitar.

I would suggest giving a look into The Epic of Alexander (Ultimate) also known as TEA in the community Also if you've finished Heavensward fully, there is also Dragonsong's Reprise Ultimate or DSR. Which gives an answer to a question many have asked. "What if we saved him?" A video by Rinon nicely covers what exactly happened during the world race, along with some talk on each phase of the fight

I"ve never done an Ultimate, but I"ve done Savage, the next tier below that. Ultimate are serious gauntlets though. It's like near 20 minutes of straight top-tier gameplay that usually takes people *MONTHS* to complete for the first time. It's wild. Oddly enough I can kindof follow the mechanics here since it's a souped up version of the Extreme versions of these same fights which I've done many times over.... maybe I SHOULD give it a shot sometime. Like the question about the Ifrit bit, why only one person stands there- the healers get a debuff that makes them explode in a huge area, doing decent damage to theirself but a LOT of damage to everyone else- so you pick a designated starting point that the party knows they will be far, far away from. Also, the answer to the question "How do you know?" The answer is: memorization and pattern recognition. Every single mechanic happens in a set order across the ENTIRE fight. You wind up memorizing each part in chunks and then in the end it becomes second nature and down to execution. It's interesting.
