Hi, I’m a 42 year old and since I was a little kid I’ve always wanted to have the famous car that Michael Knight drove in the series.
I watched Knight rider reruns with my dad, we couldn’t believe the things that talking car could do.
So in 2009 I bought a 1982 pontiac trans am to convert into a KITT replica but after looking at part prices I decided to sell the car.
This year I went to the annual car show in Aylmer Quebec like I do every year. My wife and I were looking at cars when we noticed a KITT K2000 replica right in front of us. We had to check that beauty and talk to the owner.
We talked for a bit and couple of weeks later we became friends. Christan Chenier and I have the same passion. He built is car from scratch and it looks amazing.
So the dream of owning a KITT car came back because of his replica. At one point, Chris told me: « hey, I have another 1983 trans am for sale. If you’re interested I could sell it to you. It’s all it took to convince me. :)

Love the dash wen the sun is getting down, the lights are bright and full of colors. I am verry happy about how it turn out.

Kitt's blackout is mostly done, i need to paint some screws but foe the most part i am happy with the resolt.

trying to get the blackout done, the u shaped plastic molding is painted and installed with 2 way tape 3M, the blackout is sanded on the edges and in each corner because it was too long and too wide. Now i need to get some L brakets done to secure the top of the blackout.

Pardon me for asking, sir, but I have a very strange question that I can't help wondering. In the making of a KITT/KARR replica, getting the correct parts is one thing, but... Is there any, or are there no... assembly instructions for them at all? If there are or aren't, then how...?
@@jarrodprieto5841 hi, for the fiberglass parts (dash, steering, switchpods etc) you get them out of the mold most of the time and you need to sand them and do the finishing touch and sone triming, for the electronics you have instructions but to put them together its not that easy, i watched youtube videos and ask questions to my friend that as a replica. You need to do your own brakets and use epoxy to glue them together etc.

Does not go through walls. You can't talk to him because this KITT doesn't talk to anyone. You can't press a button and it jumps. It doesn't drive itself. It is not factory shielded. It's a car like any other. Real life is not Hollywood.

Pardon my asking, but do the MPH numbers actually climb up and down when driving and slowing down? It's one thing if the RPM numbers do, but the MPH numbers don't seem to change, and just flash like warning signal lights...
ya because its not hooked up for now, i have a module that i have to connect because the car speedo is a cable and the dash is electronic so that modul convert from cable to electronic but didn't have the time yet so that is why.

@@KITT-K2000 I know it's never too late, but due to a lack of a job in my own life and problems, and of course as we all know, cars aren't cheap to purchase, not even the old ones, like Herbie. I mean, I saw a replica of KITT once when I was driving to college 11 years ago, and then another in 2019, and a third just a year and a half ago. You're right in saying that it's never too late, but I wish I could get my hands on a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am and have my KITT in a S4 style, as that's my ultimate favorite. But instead I have my late uncle's 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Touring minivan. By the way, here's a little joke, or pop quiz for you: What do you get when you cross voice actor Peter Cullen, a transforming truck, and a black Pontiac Trans Am? KARR-timus Prime!
