The sound quality, ease of use, perks and portability these mics offer, is what made me fall in love with them

@@JakeMoffat-xy9ci sorry to hear that brother, I always record externally and just use timecode to sync post, and yesterday I decided to record directly on camera to save time, thank God it happened on TH-cam not one of my clients

@@baekmedier my apologies brother I failed to double check the sound before posting the video weird thing is I recorded this on the Fx3 through the handle have no idea how it limited it on one channel
@@m00photo92 I mean sound is just super fiddly. Im always afraid to mess up sound.. I always use two sound sources because im a chicken when it comes to sound :P

I had to order a couple of pieces off of Amazon and they game flexibility with my external monitor. For that reason I just moved the camera’s monitor to the rear center of the camera
So long story short I used my atomos Ninja V as my main monitor and the original one just to adjust settings
No need for all that go get Z9 and ETZ adaptor for your Sony lenses and you will have PRORES RAW and RAW 12bit internal
Despite the fs7 not being a low light camera, I’d say it held up pretty good minus having to shoot wide open with every single lens I used
This was shot in Cine EI so I edited on Davinci with a CST in Slog3Sgamut 3.Cine

So I would switch it to custom mode from Cine EI and test one of the custom matrix see what works best for you, I always prefer shooting it in log due to the file flexibility but yeah

Hi i recently bought this camera but unfortunately I'm financially really low atm. So i only have the body i don't have any lenses or the external Sony adaptor. The eyepiace/scoupe is also missing. Im looking to shoot a whole feature with it. In your opinion which would be the cheapest lenses i can get that will make the footage very cinematic/film like? I heard rockinson primes are they good for this purpose? If not what's a cheaper alternative to get the job done? Also Is there a cheap option to the eyepiece ? Like a view finder magnifier or something? Would really appreciate any help and great video!

I was quite surprised to find out that ProRes Raw HQ is not really that much taxing on your SSDs than ProRes HQ
The RAW thing is a RED patent thing.
Honestly the Fs7 combined with a shogun 7 4K can give you Cinema DNG which gives you all the functionality of RAW in Davinci Resolve but not are those files huge. A 1TB SSD gives me a meager 25min I think
A recently Nikon won that battle against red to get internal RAW on camera so may be someday Sony will surprise us my friend

I haven’t shot with the fx30 yet I have the fx3 and fx6 but I’m hoping to add the 30 on my list hopefully when I can afford it someday

Hey how's it going? I had a question for you. You mentioned the Shogun 7 and I'm looking into getting one for my fs7 I wanted to know how often you shoot raw and do you think it's worth it? Also I've never shot or edited a raw only log.
Yes with the Shogun you'll be able to shoot RAW but you'll only get Cinema DNG with the old Shogun, if you want Prores Raw you might have to use the ninja V with the SDI Module.
To be honest I've never had a shot that required it but it's a great option to have

Hey, would the power supply of the fs7 work with the Fx6? Also on the Fs7 you can customise the color, hue etc to get the look you like, can you do that on the fx6? Or it just has a basic control like the A7 Line?
The fx6 doesn’t offer this functionality unfortunately, so I just use a color checker to do it post, and the power supply I honestly haven’t tested it

Hello, I bought a new fs7, but the sharpness is very bad, the lens I use is sony 28-135 and samyang 135mm cine series. I'm getting sharper images even than Panasonic 371 camera :( i really need suggestions
I use a mist filter on all of my lenses, but I know there’s a way to reduce details in camera I just don’t think it’s feasible in Cine EI
