Sark is a mediocre coach and the University of Texas deserves better. Texas should have been in the championship game WITHOUT A DOUBT but due to his piss poor play calling for the second year, he is solely responsible for the loss against Ohio State (and Washington). Then he uses “NFL interests” to get an 7 yr extension. There is no one in the NFL interested in this clown. He has CDC and the board fooled. As Jimbo Fisher used LSU to get an extension…we are now living A&M’s exact scenario.

You are on the one yard line on first down and cannot get the right call from Sark. Sark decides to run a pitch play on 3rd and one and loses 6 yds. On 4th down, Ewers is blindsided on the rollout which was a dead duck call going to his left anyway. His passing arm is stripped and the LB runs it back 90 yds for the nail in the coffin. What's wrong with scenario? Any Texas high school coach would be able to make the correct call on first and goal from the one yard line. You've got 4 chances on direct handoffs.....even if you need the bulls package. Then there's Arch sitting on the bench when earlier in the game he was substituted on 4th and one and made the yardage easily. Quinn was not mobile enough and Sark went into "freak out" mode like he's done many times before.

Money is what drives everything in football. ND is the only team/ school that would get 100% of the money for winning. If you’re in a conference you have to share your winnings with the other teams in your conference how does that even sound fair.

The reality is conferences are irrelevant.. it's 12 teams now not 4. NCAA BB has conferences but who cares?? 64 teams make it. Either ALL teams are in conferences or none

This argument is both self-serving and naive. The conference system exists for one purpose: profit maximization. To stand up and act sanctimonious about it is laughable, if not outright dishonest. When former Pac-10 schools force their student-athletes to travel across the country to compete against teams completely outside their region-while juggling academics-all to justify inflated athletic director salaries, it becomes clear this was never about the purity of the sport or the well-being of student-athletes. It’s a business, plain and simple. In this context, Notre Dame appears to have made the best decision. They control their schedule, choose their opponents, and, like everyone else, prioritize profit maximization. At least they’re honest about it.

Penalties and undisciplined plays will end the season for Texas. The defense will do their best to keep the game close, but the lack of running from the offense and Ewer's inability to escape and extend plays with his legs will doom Texas against the stout OSU defense. OSU by two TDs against Texas.

No one in the country can match up well with Smith. Tight double coverage and a tenacious fast pass rush may affect Howard's accuracy. Texas will lose this game because of the lack of discipline to play a clean, penalty-free game. The running game is inconsistent, and it will only get worse against a stout defensive team. Ewers will still be slow and not be a threat to run to avoid tacklers or extend plays. Get to Ewers, and it's over. OSU by 2 TDs.
