HIKING GUNUNG LEDANG (MT. OPHIR) MALAYSIA
In this video, we will share our experience hiking Gunung Ledang or Mount Ophir in Malaysia.
Gunung Ledang stands at around 1,276 metres ASL.
It is also known as Mount Ophir in Johor, Malaysia.
The trail that we hiked has a total of 8 checkpoints.
However, certain cut-offs exist at some checkpoints because all hikers at the summit must descend by 2 p.m. This means that no matter where you are on the trail when 2 p.m. comes, you are supposed to descend to avoid incurring overtime during the hike.
Below are our estimated time stamps per checkpoint:
1. Start hike: 7:59 am
2. CP 1: 8:16 am
3. CP 2: 8:32 am
4. CP 3: 9:04 am
5. CP 4: not captured (between 9:30 to 10am, maybe)
6. CP 5: 10:17 am
7. CP 6: 11:20 am
8. CP 7: 12:26 am
9. CP 8 / SUMMIT: 1:13 pm
Gunung Ledang would have to be one of the most difficult hikes we've had so far.
Other people spend 2 days hiking this mountain.
In our case, we hiked it in 1 day so the challenge is there from the beginning.
There is time pressure for us to reach the summit by 1:30pm so that we can descent and reach the base camp on time.

Is it possible or ok to climb up the summit rock now? Not illegal right?
Hello! We climbed this back in 2022. I'm not sure now if there are any changes but it should still be ok to climb as long as you get the permits from the authorities.

hey, i just bought this camera, and how do i develop the film? should i develop it after used all the film? if i don’t find a place that develops film, do i have other way to develop it and take the photos to my phone? please help me .,,.
Hello! Yes the way to have the films develop is if you go to a photo lab that develops films and then they can scan for you and send to your phone. If you're not able to find a place that develops films, you can develop your own at home but you need to buy chemicals and that's a bit tedious and technical too. So your best option is if you go find a photo lab to develop your film. Thanks for watching!
