Hi there. I'm assuming you are on AP 2.5. If you go to View in the menu and then select Customize tools a panel should open up with all the tools available. You can drag and drop them from the panel onto your left-hand toolbar. Here's a video I did on customizing your workspace... th-cam.com/video/wY7Mln8hPVw/w-d-xo.html If you don't have them for some reason, you can find the halftone effect under Filters in the menu, then Colors and then scroll down to Halftone. Hope that helps

Thanks for the feedback. Here's a full list of short cut keys below. Whatever works best for you is the right thing to do. I often do the same thing in different ways. Like Command (or Control) C to copy vs Edit Copy in the menu. Or Command J to duplicate on layer vs Right Click then Duplicate. Hi there. To clone, you first select the clone tool, then sample using the option or Alt key and click on a spot. Once you click the clone tool, there should be an option in the top menu bar that says "Current layer, current layer and below, or layer beneath". I usually go with current layer or below as you can clone the layer beneath the layer you are pasting onto.

Hmmm... did you complete the curve with the pen tool? I may not have said that but you need to go all the way around and then click on the starting point. Then click the selection button. Let me know if that helps.

@@PracticalAffinity I did this, and tried a number of times, I ended up doing each window separately which was more time consuming. I will have another go and let you know. Just need a new image or five to play with for a Christmas scene. The church and beast I did turned out okay for a beginner though.

I've been using Affinity for a while now but I learn something new almost every day just making this channel. Honestly, I don't use the sliders that much. I usually go for the best selection I can before using Refine. You need custom shortcuts for QWERTZ keyboards (Germany; Windows). Alt Gr+ Num + for Increase Brush Size, Alt Gr+ Num - for Decrease Brush Size, Alt+ Num + for Increase Brush Hardness, Alt+ Num - for Decrease Brush Hardness. That's just an example. Works fine for me. ;-)

Hi there. Here's a link to what's new in the 2.6 release. Some (like advanced page management) apply to Publisher, some to Photo, Some to Designer. Hope that helps.

I heard that Affinity is training it on their own servers. Then you get the download installed pre-trained. Assuming future updates will continue to get better in the same model.

I love V2 because it allows you to do so much more with in the raw develop such as going back once your done work in the photo persona. I think it's worth the upgrade. Good luck Nick!

Hi there. The layers panel is in the right hand studio in the middle. There should be several tabs there including Layers, Brushes, Stock, Styles. If you don't see it, go to Windows, Layers and make sure there's a check by Layers.

@@PracticalAffinity it’s how photos were taken years ago on a glass plate . They have a certain look about them . There some people on TH-cam showing you on here how the photos are taken . Just type in wet plate photography. I think the portraits look amazing. Thank you

@@PracticalAffinity I am trying to find a way to edit one of the images in my image. I have a moon added to a cloudy dark sky, and want to have some of the cloud in front of the moon. Do you have a tutorial on that? I am older :), and finally getting stuck into using Affinity which I have had for a couple of years now.
