Del Toro portrays a brutal animal. He therefore must be a brutal animal. He therefore deserves no praise.

As someone who has been victimized, one can understand why he would want street justice. However, this is a movie, and that is unrealistic in many parts of the US. Conversely, in Mexico, that may be acceptable.

Alejandro is the epitome of focus and accountability. The way he wastes the life of those who deserve it is a breath of fresh air.

Apperently, they didn't tell the actor playing Alarcon that he was going to shoot the wife and sons, or even fire the gun, so the shock and surprise on his face is real! Badass!

i dont know if its make up, but just through his eyes, just by looking at him, you can see a depressed man, Bags under the eyes, you can see that the man doesn't sleep a lot, can't sleep a lot. he looks tired af all the time, stoic, and also some shade of black with under his eyes. that man cries, doesn't sleep, his body is saying one thing, his mind and heart another. he's a true john wick type character, or the punisher. you can tell that although they are labeled as monsters, serial killers and all that ; you can clearly see that he does what he does because he was forced into what he became. all our fav characters are anti heroes : thomas shelby, ragnar lothbrock, walter white, gus fring, homelander(psycho but he is the protagonist), frank castle are all 'criminals'. like mike Ermathraut said, one of the best lines from breaking bad : 'Mike Ehrmantraut : The lesson is, if you're gonna be a criminal, do your homework. Price : Wait, I-I'm not a bad guy, I don... Mike Ehrmantraut : I didn't say you're a bad guy, I said that you're a criminal. Price : What's the difference? Mike Ehrmantraut : I've known good criminals and bad cops, bad priests, honorable thieves-you can be on one side of the law or the other, but if you make a deal with somebody, you keep your word. You can go home today with your money and never do this again, but you took something that wasn't yours and you sold it for a profit. You're now a criminal; good one, bad one-that's up to you.

Such an absolutely amazing character, a force of nature, driven by vengeance for the murder of his family.
