Hey! Thank you and I am so pleased you like my Soundbox libraries. Yes, Soundbox is very popular! To be honest all of my Soundbox libraries are pretty small in comparison to other libraries. Glacium itself is only 1.53 GB but has a really big sound and you would expect it to be much larger :)

Hey! Lumen is a pack which works in the free Soundbox player. Soundbox is standalone, VST, AU and AAX. Plus there is also an iPadOS Soundbox app. Ideally you would need a MIDI controller keyboard. Head over to Kompose Audio as there's a bunch of info on the about Soundbox :)

Hi there! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts - it really means a lot! Creating smaller libraries works well for me for a couple of reasons. First, it keeps the creative process fresh and lets me develop instruments that really capture the moment. Second, I aim to keep the prices affordable, so they’re accessible to more people. Many instruments on the market can be quite expensive and I wanted to offer something different - smaller, more focused libraries at a lower price point. So far, the feedback on this approach has been really positive 😊

Hey! So pleased you like the sounds :) Probably best to simply reinstall Soundbox and make sure you have checked the option to install AU (which I am sure you already did!). Soundbox will show up as instrument in Logic Pro. I've been using Soundbox in Logic Pro since it was released without any issues :) Let me know how you get on.

@@kcknight238 Try simply running the Soundbox installer again and you should see the instrument in Logic Pro. Check your Audio Units folder as well to make sure it is in there.

Hi there! Lumen is designed to be an ambient soundscape generator, with each layer offering a distinct pad soundscape. If you're looking to play chords in the traditional sense, Lumen may not be quite right for you. Instead, it's crafted so that by holding a single note, you can create a chord that morphs beautifully between the layers. Playing different keys can lead to some stunning and surprising results you might not get from a simple pad. As with any instrument, it really depends on what you need and how you enjoy playing etc. Personally, I love holding a note, layering in a few more notes, and seeing where Lumen takes me. On that note, I'm also working on a new Soundbox instrument pack tailored for exactly what you described - four layers with a single note on each, perfect for creating more structured chords. Keep an eye out for it!

@@KomposeAudio Brilliant - and thank you for the rapid response. Okay, next question (if I may), how is it controlled? Obviously, the paramaters are controlled using a mouse - as in the above video, however, do you need to attach a keyboard in order to create sounds or can this be achieved via the same mouse for example? I'm intrigued by granular morphing and if Lumen suits my needs, I will invest - as long as I can control it!!! Regards...

@@gedrodger Hey! You are most welcome :) So, you need a MIDI controller keyboard to use Soundbox, purely to be able to play it. You can trigger the keys at the bottom of the user interface with the mouse but better to play the instrument via a controller keyboard. Most of the knobs, sliders, effects, modulators and vector can be easily assigned to a MIDI controller. You simply right click over any of the parameters and select Learn MIDI Assignment, move the controller knob or slider on your MIDI controller and it can then be controlled via that controller. Probably a good idea for you to read through the Soundbox manual, which is available on the website. I hope this helps :)

Hey there! When it comes to using Kadence (or really any instrument), it’s all about what feels right for you! Personally, I enjoy playing both simple melodies and full chords with it - sometimes just a couple of notes, other times more complex chords. There’s no one "ideal" keyboard range for any of my instruments; it all depends on the kind of soundscape you’re creating and what your composition needs. A preset that sounds perfect in one piece might not fit as well in another, and that’s totally normal! If a sound is mapped to C6 or C1, it’s ready to be played, so go with what works best with your music. Thanks :)

@@KomposeAudio - Totally sensible reply. But curious: what chords/number of stacked notes did you use for this preset? It looks like it was played and recorded live, so maybe you don't know exactly, but an approximation would be useful. Thanks.

I just bought all of them for Kontakt 8! Beautiful! No filler sounds here. 5 stars

I actually developed Kadence on my 2013 Intel iMac, 4 core, i7 with 24GB Ram and it runs really well. As with many Kontakt instruments, CPU varies depending on the system Kontakt is running on and the effects and source modes that are used in the instrument. I have used Time Pro and Replika, which do use CPU but equally they form part of the Kadence sound. I also created this preset video on the same iMac (2103). Not bad for a 11 year old iMac! Personally I like to create/test instruments on an older machine as this allows for a decent amount of system spec headroom, given that many users will have much newer systems. If it works well on my 2013 iMac, it will also work well on systems that are 11 years newer!
