Bill Evans - Peri’s Scope (Gypsy Jazz Cover)
This is “Peri’s Scope” by Bill Evans! It’s probably made it up into my top 10 favorite jazz standards because it’s such a joyous tune. It was dedicated to Evans’ (a white guy) then girlfriend Peri, a black woman. That was considered scandalous at the time for reasons related to obvious racial prejudice, but I think it makes the impact of the song that much harder and beautiful. It’s very fun, lyrical and upbeat and it has a lot of quick ii-Vs that can be tricky to weave around when soloing, but once you get it it’s a blast to play. Decided to do a full cover of this tune cause it’s so good. I’m not as much of a singer as I used to be, but I had to sing this one cause really it’s the only way to perform it. This is “Love is the Sweetest Thing” by Ray Noble. I’ve had it stuck in my head for so long and I especially love the lyrics. They’re so beautiful!! Anyways, enjoy and Solo Deo Gloria!!

I definitely had to do this one again. It’s “Alice in Wonderland” from the original 1951 Disney film, written by Sammy Fain and Bob Hilliard. The original has this dreamy quality to it and I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a gypsy jazz cover of it before, so I decided to give it a try! Enjoy, and Solo Deo Gloria!

The funny thing about Wario Land 4 is that WarioWare Inc: Mega MicroGame$ uses the same soundfont, so you could've sold me that 2:22 was using the WarioWare soundfont and I would've bought it.

I did! I have these glue dots that I got at Walmart that don’t leave residue and I just attached the mic at the soundhole.

This is specifically from WarioWare D.I.Y. released in Spring 2009 on the Nintendo DS. Jimmy T’s stage is where it plays and Jimmy is leading an aerobics class in his exercise show, “Jimmy’s Aerobics”.
