It's always nice to see someone pick up FFXIII But the eidolon fights act more as puzzles linked to character and story. When they are at their low points they have to prove their will. LIke with SNow he has to prove he can take what is given to him which is represented by the sentinal role and defending, while the sisters represent Lightning and Serah who attack and heal him respectively. And the Lightning thinking she can only hurt, but the way you win the Eidolon is by healing, proving she can be helpful to allies and protective. It's a good way to entertwine character and gameplay.

Im low on Lapis, so idk if lightning would be an upgrade for my Esther

I understand some people not wanting to move on to JP but I just can't let it go yet ; even tho is not the same game, is the closest thing we'll hold to still kinda play the game. I'm enjoying it casually so, let's see where it goes. It was a 7 years run for me (with a year of hiatus) but I really enjoyed every minute of it and all the struggles and the fun that I had and the friends that I made along the way who helped me out. I wish I had known about those guides a long time ago.

My favorite foe was Kalmia in S3, when you first met her. She was pretty strong if you let her hang around for more than 2 turns and her sprite was really cool. I suspect she was originally going to be a hollow keeper. That evil scientist in S4 was pretty cool, too. I thought she was inspired by Kalmia.

Me personally when he uses Soul Pillars i move away from him and then i double jump in the air and glide safely on the floor and i would have alittle bit more time to react

Just one thing I want to add here: The parry can be pretty tricky sometimes, since PV can just parry very suddenly, which can be very lethal. However, I found it useful to start holding jump when you trigger PV's parry, then as you're jumping up, move back the opposite way and downslash. Time the downslash correctly, and it should be a pogo parry, and will get you out of danger.

22:30 I've seen people get 125, 175, & 225 denominations of reward for this quest; seems to be tied to how quickly you complete it.

There's an Easter egg I found in the sewers yesterday where you can bomb a wall & go into the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' home & take a piece of their pizza (worth 5 hp). 😂 The crack in the wall was to the far north--to where it seemed like there shouldn't be any more accessible rooms...but I went ahead and bombed it anyway.
