How to Reset Maintenance Reminder on a 2013 Honda Ridgeline
Great video, thank you. What kind of bed cover is that?
Bakflip G2 It’s more on the expensive side . But I really like the cover . It’s well made . And could not imagine having the truck without the cover.
Yes, I’ve definitely seen the price on that one! It looks awesome though.
it good video tk
Glad you enjoyed. Hope it’s also working for you. Thank you for feedback Thai keeps me going on making more videos .
remove the tanneau add a flat rubber strip everywhere eliminate leak remount cover nice guy nice place stout pun
Will do . Hasn’t bothered me enough yet that water gets in .
I believe those hooks are for some little cargo nets that you could buy back in the day.
yes I think your right. i could not used them , my seat is all the way back.
@@gdm_crx8513 Yeah, I never bothered. I'm 6'1". I still have my '00 white/red. I've had it for 23 years!
You do need the "y connector" intermediate harness to plug in the blue plug. The intermediate harness does have provisions for the defroster in the oem hard top but the blue plug is a switch in the bracket the stops the soft top from being able to be raised accidentally when the hard top is in place. As for notching the brushed part on the back of the cover panel there are specific ones from Honda that are replaced when using the hardtop brackets.
Thank you. Good information. I did figure out the plug , but I did not know about the brush . I ended up unscrewing the brush .
@@gdm_crx8513 84192-S2A-J00 and 84142-S2A-J00 are the part numbers for the brushes when using the hardtop brackets. They are still available through Honda at the moment if you wanted to pick them up.
Did u have to drill the mounting holes for the spoiler
No, they fit on OEM holes. How ever the current trunk lid did had this same spoiler installed at some point, by the previous owner.
My is 2012 has 181,365 miles still going strong!!!
It's Honda take car of them they take car of you. I still got 50k to go on mine to even reach that, hopefully you able to drive many more miles .
Cool video. Our top highway speed here in the United States is 80 mph
Yeah . I lived in Florida for a long time . 70 mph We currently overseas in Europe. But always wanted to test that but was to scared on the highway to get a big ticket . And 40 mph over might not be a good idea
If I buy the 2013 Ridgeline I am considering I'll definitely be doing this upgrade to the bed. Thank you for sharing.
Yes it’s worth it. I like it a lot. Very durable for every use.
I'm considering a 2013 Ridgeline. Thank you for your videos.
I owned different truck and vans . I always wanted to own a Ridgeline since the 1. Came out . My only regret is I waited so long . Sadly I know this guy here will stay in Europe . And when I’m back in the states I’m on a hunt for a new one .
I bought an 08 with 111k miles 1 week later a tree broke and smashed my car 😭
Sorry to hear that . Hope you get an other one. Best Truck I ever had. Super reliable!
@ I’m on the hunt for another one
Those windows look amazing. Do you know the % on the front and back windows? Is the windshield also tinted? What's the %?
It’s around 30% front windows tinted. Sadly I can’t tell you exactly the Previous owner did that . Windshield is not tinted.
how was the fitment?
Figment is perfect . I can’t complain . Would buy again from them .
do those security brackets stop the soft top from going up i just got an s2k with a hardtop with those brackets and my soft top stops from going up completely
No they do not stop the soft top. I take the hard top off from time to time and just use the soft top. no problems. But I have ti get me a 2. set of front locks.
Protect those lungs
Fumes wasn’t to bad. But yeah when you do this kind of job you should had a mask .
Nice job I’m tinking of doing the same on my 2006 ridgline
yeah its worth it, I really like the back flip cover .
Swap radio to any Android head unit and the main complaints will become great advantages (for example Wireless Apple CarPlay with Google Maps displaying your speed in kilometers or miles per hour). Headliner you did a good fix (I will copy what you did). Since I never go 90 mph I have no idea about those issues
Yeah that was my plan . Haven’t gotten the chance to get it done. Also looking for a bottom tray that all the ones have without navigation. The headliner , I spoke to someone they redid there’s and said it was very easy. But that definitely is a project for some other time .
It looks like you did a good job, but I could not hear anything you were saying. Why did you add that music for that was foolish?
Thank you. Learning experience. All my other videos no Music ! Still hope it helped.
Und wie ist es in England?
Gut. Muss jetzt nur noch die Autos hier rüber bekommen .
@@gdm_crx8513 👍
Hi! When you bought the hood did it come with all the brackets and hardware? Thank you
Did it come with the bracket?
Yes it does , the only thing you need to take of the OEM soft top are the latches .
Recommend Tires have a speed rating of 190 kmh (118 mph) so this is a great video you created. But I would never drive that fast here in the States
yeah I know , but I wanted to see what the top speed is and how the truck handles. I handles better than the CRX or S2000 at those speeds, very smooth I was impressed. even took a lap on the Nürburgring with the Ridgeline.
Looks great. How has it held up over time? Would be interested to see updated video of it as of 8/2024
My video review after 10k. It’s holding up great , about to do an other one with the liner . ( new video without the Musik ) So far , wood , metal , car parts , pavers , normal use . No problems at all . What I really like on it . It keeps things from sliding forward during normal driving .
It’s nice to hear this update that’s it has been holding up great after 9 or 10 months of use.
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're welcome!
Sasha, Your English is EXCELLENT!!! I did want to let you know it is called a cable, not a rope. Good video, thank you for posting! Do svidaniya, tovarishch.
Thank you I try my best . Did o say rope. 😂 But at least someone is watching my videos . And I hope they are helpful.
YIKES!!! The bedliner you rolled on looks FUGLY!!! What happened????
It’s has a Herculiner on it . I wanted it to be rough. To keep stuff from sliding forward. Really like the liner . I had to do something because mine was in rough shape .
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Should of done hooks too
Yeah wanted to. Possibly just do a black respray on them .
I don't know how many people realize that inside the "trunk" under the bed, the area where the compact spare tire is located, is actually exactly the right size for a FULL SIZE spare! I have an 08' Ridgeline. I went to a local junkyard and bought another stock aluminum wheel and a tire. The tire rack slides out for convenience and the full size wheel/tire slides right in and still leaves space for the jack & tools. My Ridgeline had 206,000 miles when I got it from the original owner (a Space-X engineer). The maintenance was NOT well looked after. I immediately rebuilt all of the front end components, struts, tie rod ends, control arms etc etc. I then replaced the timing belt w/ water pump & idlers. I put in a new power steering pump (they're notoriously problematic). I replaced the radiator purely out of extra caution, it had NO cooling problems. I've put a lot of time and money into the car but I really like it. I just wish mine was as clean and well maintained as yours seems to be. I have a custom camper shell covering the bed so it's quite convenient and locks securely. I'm considering re-doing the bed area with the rubberized coating (I forget the name of it). My bed is scratched up and very slippery when hauling groceries etc. What to you think of the bed coatings? Thanks!
Did not know that . It would fit a full size but great information. I used Herculiner . Love it . No more sliding nothing . Liner holds up great 👍🏻.
Sehr geil❤
🤘🏻thank you
Why remove from truck?
I don’t understand your question?
I was curious too why remove all of those parts. What considerations were made to decide which pieces stayed with tape and which pieces removed. What’s the advantages and disadvantages (of course extra work is big disadvantage)
@@dan-777-abc I wasn't not sure how good or bad this will be, rolling on paint can be messy. so for me it was like take of what I can. I didn't know at the time how to get the gate cover or the side panels off , but I do know now. if I do it again maybe I take everything off and lay it down flat. but it worked fine with the blue tape as well, but take it of immediately after painting, to ensure a nice clean line.
I seen one for sale without info screen. Probably for the best cause it doesn't even work properly
They work good . But sadly only in the states. And worthless here in Europe .
Ja mit den Felgen wird schwierig
Ja die müssen weg und was anderes !
Stabile karre
Sorry, the frequent movement of the camera gave me a headache.
Tried to show things up close . So you can see what I’m doing . But thank you . I try to improve this in my videos . Still hope it help with your install .
OH THAT GOD AWFUL MUSIC!!!!!
Thank you ! I just tried to copy what others do. Blame TH-cam for the awful music that's what was free. Sadly since I added it it can't be removed anymore. Im Trying to improve my videos, hopefully you checked out the channel and see that.
Does the paint give more grip?
Yes. Big difference. No more things sliding forward. I did 2 coats. The more coats you apply the more rough the surface gets . Of course if you break heavy things will slide. But I’m very happy with the product.
Were you able to use your front convertible latches for the hard top or did you buy the hardtop specific latches ?
I did use the OEM latches that are on the soft top. How ever if you take the hardtop of the soft top can’t be locked in anymore . So I recommend getting a 2. Pair . One for the soft top and one for the hardtop . I did install the quick release rear latches. So I can take of the top sometimes .
Thanks for no crap music!!! Just got my 2006 Ridgie and knew there had to be a Cabin Air Filter...
You welcome. 🤗 Part of a learning experience making these videos . Sadly I don’t get enough feedback to improve my videos.
I CANNOT STAND THESE D@MN CRAP MUSIC VIDS!!!!!
Thanks for this video. It's not something I need at the moment but I own a ridgeline so it's useful to know.
Mine just started this randomly . And the tailgate not working sideways is just painful. Lol a feature you get used to very fast .

If I look back at mine and I would had all the parts up front for the build . You possibly have it up and running in a week . But a lot of time goes by ordering parts and figuring out what to use . Thats weird, the hasport K series mount for ef/crx should fit without modifications. Do you talk with hasport?
I think that the EE8 are a lil bit different of other ef chasis haha
Yes I spoke to hasport. The mounts are for ef/ed crx only . Not for EE /Si . Maybe they will make on one day but as of now they never had a chassis to produce one . EE8 here in Europe has a b16a engine (v-tec) OEM parts were motor mounts sit are different. Therefore hasport mounts don’t fit . The few k20 that exist here in Europe I spoke to them and they did the same or similar . Not everyone used the same mounts . One of my earlier videos I do explain the difference. I was not aware of this myself when I started the project . If my solution is the correct one we will see when I get the car rolling.
Awesome video. Makes it seem like it wasn’t too bad. Gonna get the same top soon here.
Thank you , trying my best . I have 2 more for the top , the stand and oem rear catcher bracket . Were I take it all apart again . To the top . Love it it’s holding up great. Need to do some more s2000 content but trying to get the crx done at this time .

Audi S2?
Yes , caught on fire during the 2024 24hour race Nürburgring.
The ep3 axles should just be able to side in right out of the box. You need rsx type s half shaft out of base model 5 spd or 6spd.
Did not fit. Was 3/4 short on Passenger side . Not sure why. Because EE8 ? Maybe the driveshafts I got were not ep3 ? Even I was told they were.
Also the dc5 axles will work but you need the karcepts hubs or yonaka 36mm hubs like type r to fit these axles. You can also watch youngstatic on TH-cam he is a ef crx guy like us that swaps k swap all day
I do follow him . My biggest thing is that I did not find anyone that . Step by step instructions how to do it . And if they did they don’t tell you what parts and where to get them from . That’s why o started this. But because I’m constantly waiting on parts my step my step is messed up to and I continue on other sections. Basically when it’s all done you have the information on all parts that needed or could be . My 10k build is already at 16k just from basic parts that I did not had or were not included in the engine purchase.
Also youngstatic works on ef chassis. The EE8 v-tec is different many parts don’t fit . Like engine mounts need to be modified .
