how heavy is the kayaksailor kit? anything above say 8lbs that high up can t be good

Wenn ich mich ranhalte, brauch ich ca 7-10 min für's Boot. Die Besegelung dauert dann aber nochmal. Allerdings bauen wir meist gemütlich,Material schonend, mit einer Tasse Tee und netten Unterhaltungen mit interessierten Schaulustigen auf. Hat Spaß gemacht da zu zuschauen, wie jeder Handgriff saß, Respekt!
Including taking out of the bag and laying out, 7-10 minutes is still very good - and you will have energy to actually go paddling when done. Setup is easy, it's take-down, including removing water and drying the hull fabric which takes time. ;-) My sail kit is ~65 years old, and the cotton sails are no longer viable. I wish you well in all modes of using your Klepper!
@@ericenskat Sorry i forgot... we have much routine and always together with my girlfriend Dunja 😉 I need more time for setting sails and outrigger. All together about 1 hour.

Bert Graef It is in a museum - the Smithsonian! Also, try putting a 17 foot fibergass kayak in the trunk of your vehicle! This is especially handy for security purposes among others, when staying overnight in a city hotel.

buffyporson1: The Klepper brand of “folding” kayak is known for its stability. In fact, several of the larger, later models have multiple air sponsons which allows one, through selective inflation, to alter the shape of the hull to optimize it to the selected activity-straight line paddling, maneuvering, fishing, sailing, ad nauseaum. Actually, older brochures of the Klepper include pics of people standing up in them. How’s that for stability?
can i use this on my folding folbot greenland II? I would have to operate it from the back seat as I would have to have access to my rudder foot pedals. how much would this cost? could I add the kayac sailor genoa to this adaptation?
