@racefan111 for some reason the #99 Corvette had issues in pitlane. It went off in the carousel the first lap and seemed to struggle the whole race.

Most were bought from the drm guys, the rest were either legions or from the ACTK site

@Speed_Star98 keep your eyes out, there is a guy making a bunch of 3 liter and 2 liter sports racers. Lola 292s, TOJs and others. I think I have his TH-cam page on my gaming pc. Saw some of his work on GT Planet. The Berta was good to dice with in the 2 liter Lola, tho it's a typical ai issue in assetto. They are rockets down the straight and park in the corners.

I downloaded the car at ATCK and then made changes to make it where it would be if for SCCA road racing in the 70s. Added the same tires that the TC Legends Under 2.5 liter Trans Am cars have. I have not released anything physics wise for this car just did it for myself. The livery is from Carney Davenport Racing. they raced Datsuns in the late 70s winning 3 national championships in C Sedan and the sister car finished either 2nd or 3rd during the same years.

@Speed_Star98 Yes Dick Davenport raced this car in the 70s and his son Rob is racing it in vintage events now. I have been doing my online race cars in the same colors and Rob asked if I could do a replica of his dad's Datsun. IT is a B210 not a 1200 but it is as close as I could get in Assetto Corsa. I also made Frank's car with reverses the colors and has the number 23. Dick is one of my childhood racing heros so doing this car was really a lot of fun for me. I remember watching him and Frank race at Lake Afton outside of Wichita, KS in the late 70s.

Rob's Alfa GTV is also in this video tho I have not finished it up, it is the red #22 Alfa GTAM.

The ai is pretty slow. The 510s have 50 hp on the little 1200. I could brick more weight into it to help the 510s out I guess. I may add some different cars to the group since vintage racing they do end up in the same group as 914/6s and corvairs

The Alfa 33 race car has not been seen for any sims. The T33/1 and above are in assetto. Also there is a matra but it is the 3 liter early 70s cars

Yes it is, I have the stocker, but built up a stage 4 race car with adjustable suspension shocks etc. Also looked at SVRAs rule book and put it at their race weight. I have not decided if I want to release changes or not, since it is not my car.

@jfhoule9668 there is a Trans Am carpet, and the 70s Tc Legends pack is basically a under 2.5 liter trans am car set. Other stuff you just have to search around a bit.

@@racer_11c45 I really do love the TC packs, but like I said...the stigner can't really keep up. They have balanced the car to make them somewhat equal in power/grip

I am much quicker in the little Porsche than in the Aston or the Jag. I just need to make fewer mistakes.

it was funny the guy in the Aston was talking about how good the Porsche was off the start line but when you watch the start the other Porsche was not quicker than he was. They were sleeping when the flag dropped. Years of drag racing as a kid pays off lol.

I was going to drive the Maserati 300s, but some glitch kept putting me in the Porsche RS60, so I stayed with it. I do wish the game would have had a Lister, but Lister Chevy would have been the choice.

Assetto corsa

Simtraxx did one that you cannot race ai on, but I found another version and it is fine for racing ai. They just need a few tweaks. I found new ai for Laguna Seca historic and its great now. Same for riverside.

Still, PR could be better. Either as Kent Raceway, or remastered much in the same way _The Ridge_ at Shelton was.@@racer_11c45

I am enjoying the car set, the detail of the cars is outstanding.

Going to try this combo at Pacific Raceways next. Track opened in 1960, so it seemed like a good choice.

well the Lola T70 presents some challenges, one the transmission is very delicate, same for the engine. It took a few laps to get used to the slow shifting required to make the transmission live. Grip wise it was interesting especailly at Sebring. the runways and taxiways are very bumpy, the transit roads are highly cambered for drainage so it really effects the car. I had everything in had and then got target fixation and got lost on course missed a braking point and bam total the car
