@@euclideanplane it’s the Carian retaliation ash of war. It makes “bullets” that can be spell parried transform into glintblades.

@@Cathart1c what ash are you using? With golden parry it may be too fast.

@@omahar311 the nerf was definitely a good thing, just thing they have overdone it a bit. As you said, sometimes he just stands there after an attack, making him feel a bit forcibly easy. The arena is still bawd. At least they buffed colossals.

@@敢林良 Of all the terrible things his arena does, this actually isn’t one of them. I tried to fight the boss in Liurnia waters and it still hits me through the I-frames sometimes.

@@suicidalpenguin6374 make sure you use the warning stone and not the frenzied stone. Also, I think at the point hen Moore leaves, their quest becomes impossible to complete.

Partially true. Some of the attacks are worth more strafing than parrying. Parrying him is unnecessary risk, but the reward is that you can hit him after each parry+riposte after 3. I would definitely not parry him in a no-hit run, but for a no-hit boss challenge, I would parry him whenever I can in first phase.

@@remiroy270 there are many bugs with this boss that were never in the base game. One of them is that he can catch you out of I-frames during some attacks.(not roll-catching but straight up ignoring your I-frames)

​​​@@bananacorn4375 There is a rather funny explanation for this one in particular. Since the full combo is him sending you into the air and then slamming you with his swords, they needed to give the slam two separate hitboxes: one for when the player is in the air and one for when they are on the ground. That's all fine and good, except for the fact the arena is uneven. Because of the elevation, you might find yourself getting stuck in the air hitbox without any way to get out of there. His pillars of light interact poorly with elevation as well.

@@NecromanticFriend that’s crazy! So this attack is also ruined by an uneven arena. No way they play tested this boss in its designated space. It seems they play test stuff of a flat environment and then just make their terrible arenas afterwards.

@@bananacorn4375 very interesting. I normally use Carian Retaliation anyways but my assumption was always Golden Parry was the best since it had the same frame data as CR but had a bit of range making it more forgiving, but it just cost FP. Good to know, I had no idea!

He has 1/3 to do it after getting parried.

It was more of a parry challenge. He’s much easier to parry him than Messmer so I want to perfect my reactions. If I were doing a speed kill, than I would probably go for follow-ups. Also, if he does the right hand-swing after getting parried or releasing the king of light, Radahn follows it up with the slower 2-sword attack. Otherwise he does the faster follow-up (both are parrisble)

Could be modded but if you count up the attacks actually seems like he isn't doing insane amounts of damage, he did 4 critical + heavies which should easily be about 6k each on something like scaudtree level 10 which is 28k and 70% of Bayle's HP. If he was higher scaudtree level or using buffs 3 it should have been way easier for him.

@@ianchen6086 I mean, they are big numbers at the end if you take in count how much HP bayle has and the numbers of hits he does, I've already calculated It and the numbers doesnt fit with the buffs i can see, even in -NG It's (at least if im not missing something) imposible

Bayle has 40kish hp, with a two handed axe talisman and 60 strength (which he might have higher) and also 10 scaudtree blessings is already 4k damage and a charged heavy is about 2.5k damage. given he critted 4 times and charged heavy about 7+ times thats already 16k+17.5k = 32k. We also saw a bunch of R1 attacks and I didnt count all the R2s either and bolt attacks which could easily add up to 10k. If he has max scaudtree blessing he would have killed them after the third critical.

@@ivangenave8027 20 fragments and lots of stance breaks. Not modded. Weapon level is not even max because that way the fight would be even quicker

@@RCSG02 I wanted to do it in the end actually. I was thinking how much hp he had so I turned back to him. I didn’t think the game would do a critical hit 180 degrees around.

I do modify stuff sometimes to make it a bit more fun, but this is all legitimate.

You would be shocked at some of the stuff you can parry, and the stuff you can't. They seemed to have allowed for my parry play in the DLC which is cool
