In this episode, I teamed up with two fellow travelers I met at Didik's place, and we set off on scooters toward Sembalun. Our first stop was Bukit Selong, a hill offering panoramic views of the region's iconic patchwork of colorful fields.
At one point, I experienced a brief moment of panic as I lost my friends on the way to our meeting point. I spent quite some time searching for them, worried that something might have happened along the way. However, despite this stressful moment, I took the opportunity to admire the rolling hills, lush valleys, and the majestic presence of Mount Rinjani in the background, which created a truly mesmerizing setting.
After soaking in the scenery, we continued our adventure by hiking up Pergasingan Hill, known for its steep ascent and rewarding vistas. The trail was challenging but manageable, and the views from the top were absolutely worth it. I also realized at that moment that I was definitely not ready to hike Mount Rinjani...

Dans cet épisode, je suis partie en scooter avec deux voyageurs rencontrés chez Didik en direction de Sembalun. Notre premier arrêt a été Bukit Selong, une colline offrant une vue panoramique sur l’emblématique patchwork de champs colorés de la région.
À un moment donné, j’ai eu une brève frayeur en perdant mes amis en route vers notre point de rendez-vous. J’ai passé un bon moment à les chercher, inquiète que quelque chose ait pu leur arriver en chemin. Cependant, malgré ce moment de stress, j’en ai profité pour admirer les collines ondulantes, les vallées verdoyantes et la majestueuse présence du mont Rinjani en arrière-plan, créant un décor absolument envoûtant.
Après avoir profité du paysage, nous avons poursuivi notre aventure en grimpant Pergasingan Hill, connue pour sa montée raide et ses panoramas spectaculaires. Le sentier était exigeant mais tout à fait faisable, et la vue au sommet valait largement l’effort. J’ai aussi réalisé à ce moment-là que je n’étais clairement pas prête à escalader le mont Rinjani...
