I am into aviation and have been since I was young. I particularly like autogyros! My dad took me to an airshow at a local airport back in 1968. A guy with a small pusher prop autogyro was part of the airshow. While he was flying, my dad explained the general concpepts of autogyros and why they came to be. From that point on....I was hooked!
I like making movies documenting my autogyro and aviation endevors in general.
I seriously injured my back last year. Since then...the pain of going down to the basement and experimenting has gotten too extreme for me. So....no new videos of anything really. I can't gor fly my planes and gyro like I used to either so no new flying videos. Just my old stuff.
I am reworking a lot of my older videos as a "project" to keep the mind busy and to take up some time during the day. I would rather stay creative than just staring at the TV all day!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

มุมมอง 9810 หลายเดือนก่อน
Bought a MTH PRR 44Ton switcher that derails on 022 switches which is 031 radius. Bought this from TRAINS on eBay months ago and returned it because of problems. They were selling another one and I bought that. It’s the original that I returned!!!!! I will never buy from them ever again.

MTH H10-44 switcher with PS3, sounds and smoke
🥶🥶🥶🥶
Ai is amazing. 😅
I tried sending this back. TRAINS who I bought it from, made it impossible to send back. I have heard from many that they do this all the time. I finall fixed it. Wires were pinched at the motor not allowing the the truck to turn all the way. this was causing the derailments.
I could keep it and run backwards, but I know it’s going to get worse.
The engine needs new motors which are expensive. I’m returning it. Static in the sound too.
How would you fix that?
G'Day Dave..I hope you will keep us up with your design. There's always room for another autogyro.😉 Chris...
Thanks mate. This is my 3D printed gyro that Im refining and finalizing. Thinking about making some light weight tail feathers with built up balsa stick rudder and H stab. Your thoughts?
Sounds pretty good to me .. keep me up with your progress .I used a few printed parts on my last project ,the WA -116. That was a big project. Keep up the good work 😊
Short and effective video. Thank you for making and.sharing .
Nice work pal!! You should take a look at Promosm.! ! It’s the best way to grow your channel!
I have back problems, difficult to finalize the correct motor size. The one have on now is over powered, but does great with loops. So I’m still figuring things out. Dave
This is a very nice AutoGyro! Are you still flying it? Hopefully you do!
This is a scene from director Frank Capra's excellent classic 1934 film It Happened One Night staring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert.
すっげ
And then 50 years later the osprey copied this exact idea
So what's the story? Are you printing OR does your best friend have a printer??
Yes Chris, I 3D printed the parts I designed. I use a .290 arrow shaft as a fuselage. The blades came from Banggood. I have a small Monoprice III printer.
Good on you Dave ..I a little reluctant to take the plunge with a printer ..as I'm most likely not be able to get to grips with one. Cheers Chris... @@imsofaman
@@imsofaman are the files available for viewing/download?
@@mk6315 Yes they are..... www.tinkercad.com/users/bfsebPQgIa3-davesurace
@@imsofaman Have you removed the files?
That is the coolest vehicle. I read Amelia Earhart also could pilot this craft.
That is correct. Amelia piloted the Beachnut Pitcairn PCA-2. She also nose it over once.....lol.
great videos I love the Lazy bee. Do you still fly Lazy bee's ?
What Are You Doing For Christmas 2020, David Surace?
Relaxing.....staying homme!
What Are You Doing For Thanksgiving 2020, David Surace?
That's great Dave!
yep...that's smoke alright :<))
Chris Dowell thanks brother!
Nice one Dave, you have it dialled in well. Credit to the camera person too mate.
Thanks Richard. It does fly nice and I did away with the cf legs as they were brittle. I used 3mm wire instead and is much more tough.
G'Day Dave...Nice to see it fly ..was always just out of frame in the previous video ...is the back holding up OK...Chris...
Chris Dowell good hearing from you mate. Yes, the previous vid was done with a hat cam and sat too far down on me head. Had my friend take some footage for me and he did a great job. Love this little gyro. Working on my own rotor head now. Soon....everything will be 3D printed!!!!! My back feels more fragile with every year that passes. Still getting shots which helps.
Flew pretty well in that Wind Dave.
Thanks John, its a real pleasure to fly, tracks beautifully.
At 0:45 you can see the pilot who really flew it! Hes crouched down on the seat!
Dave. No planes? LOL Very nice My dad would love this
Still got some planes, the back is giving me a fit, so playing with the trains....
Very nice two level layout. It is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Thumbs up.
Thanks for the compliment, I have quite a few engines, hope to make more vids, just don’t want to bore ya’ll. Thanks again….
@@imsofaman love the vid
I sent that to my nephew qho loved for years and stayed in perfect tune.
Interesting that you put the Black Box more on the lower string side (between the 2nd & 3rd claws) Most videos seem to have it placed on the higher strings. I bought one of these and haven't had the best luck yet as fas as tuning. I find that it also makes it much harder to press down on teh bar.
A good place to start for young, aspiring musicians. What better references/credentials could you possibly have when looking for your next gig or contract? They said that Tina's abs were "drawn on" ... I don't see anything... it's not like she needs to be shredded and she sure ain't fat. Comment came from "Strings" magazine....
Excelentes maquinas los autogiros.
(Belatedly) Well done Dave and Jordi! Lovely design, beautifully built and flown. Ben
Ben.....send me a message. Wanted to see how you been.
Looks Good,
Check out (Even more Lazy Bee) by Rolf R Bakke.
where did you buy this? thanks!
Can you do double stops with unit installed as shown? Thanks!
...... She is getting better all the Time !! Rock on Desi !!
what material did you add to strengthen the positive angle created by the soft plastics on the head?
I ended up using small triangular fiberglass plate. .032 thick and used some thin hard wood to the trailing edge side. If you intend on using the regular head, you will see the point of flapping inge is actually at an angle. So as the blade lifts up, the neg pitch of the blade increases.
yes I understand.I encounter lots of problems.yesterday I destroyed my Turnigy motor when just after lift off it banked hard left and hit the ground.Check my channel for the vid!
man.....Desiree was such a quiet and sweet little girl. She was over for a couple of sleep overs with my daughter back when she was in 2nd and 3rd grade. First time I heard her play guitar was when she brought it in to Mrs Zulick's 2nd grade class....I was a para-educator in the class at the time and I thought...oh, how cute, she's going to play her guitar.......then she proceeded to belt out a pristine rendition of Jimi Hendrix Star Spangled Banner.....my jaw hit the floor ! lol
Two of my best friends up there. Tina just got signed to Sony, about a week ago! Des has been on a couple of other MJ tribute tours in Australia & Germany. Always love seeing this part of their history, though. Love Tina's "attitude strut"........Des just doing her thing, owning it like the Guitar Queen that she is! =c)
Hey dude, can you still get that flutter effect like Steve Vai does when he "slaps" the tremolo? Is it still working well for you? Does it make the trem stiffer? I'd love to do subtle vibratos like Jeff Beck. Would that still be possible?
Absolutely!
@NevvyC Just Google Noiseless springs, Stratocaster
... LOVE Desi !!!!!!
Does the back box keep the guitar in tune after a string break? Could you continue to play a set?
lollllllll
Playing in the snow...little windy....
I loved this plane so much!!!
Awesome quad
Good flight! Speedy Bees are awesome.
I'd completely forgotten about the autogyro in this movie, but I guess I haven't seen it since I was 10 :P Maybe this is why I <3 autogyros so much today?
