Danglars is totally hitting on Fernand. Love it! These character designs are great and the movement is just *kisses*. Danglars is basically rolling his eyes when Fernand brings up Mercedes like 'Ugh, not this again' or 'Dude, who are you trying to convince? Us or yourself?'

I know this has definitely been done already, but here's a summary of these three jackasses' motivations. 1. Mondego wants to marry his cousin who's already in love with Dantes. And the only reason she married him was because she believed the love of her life was dead and she didn't have any other options. He's basically the rebound. 2. Donglars is bitter and jealous because this young sailor is being promoted to captain over an experienced sailor like himself even though he literally did nothing to deserve it and it was Dantes who got their ship out of a tight spot when their own captain was incapacitated. He's basically a whiny little diva who didn't get the lead part in the school musical. 3. Villefort wants to save his father, the true supporter of Napoleon, from prison and possibly worse, and also because convicting a traitor is a great way to get a sweet promotion he's been eyeing in the legal world. A little bit more honorable, but also f@cked up.

I also got to know the Count of Monte Cristo through the InkPotts animatics! I love your take on it, the flair and the dynamism. I love the expressions and character design. Your characters oozes charisma that others have pointed is scene where they just plot their scheme by drinking around a table. This is fit to be a villain number in a hit-animated movie that would make tumblr go rabid. I love that I can get a read of all your characters through their body language and utilizing the lyrics of song to embolden YOUR story.

Never read the book nor seen the musical, but I saw this animatic and I said to myself “oh the local bisexual and his queer posse are ruining a straight couple.” (Love this video can’t stop watching)

You know I do love the dynamic presented by the conspirators here. It does give off the feel they are pretty close friends. It would heartwarming… if you ignore the fact they are singing about ruining an innocent person’s life for their own ambitions.
