Landscape Photographer, good with people, but constantly searching for solitude. Love camping (sometimes wild), enjoy a spot of hiking (Y3P x 2), and just being outdoors....
Thanks for checking my channel out...

Vlog#4, Cave Dale & Peveril Castle, Castleton
An early morning start after 3 hours sleep in the car up Winnats Pass. No temperature inversion (I will get one one day)!! The hike up was steady and moderately steep in places, made difficult at times by the slippery wet limestone. The edge leading up to the vantage point was a bit dicey too, very close to the edge and slippery due to the morning dew........
Thanks for watching.

8 minutes of ramblings, telling the wildlife off, freezing weather, waterfalls and a few images.... Thanks for watching. Rich
Vlog#2 The Lake District
มุมมอง 2666 ปีที่แล้ว
Welcome to my Vlog#2 and thanks for watching. I spent a couple of days in the Lakes and thought it would be a great opportunity to brush up on my vlogging skills (or lack of). Wansfell, Loughrigg, Ashness are the main locations I visited. Please leave a comment, subscribe, and give a thumbs up 👍 or thumbs down 👎. Thanks again for watching, Rich

Hi Rich, I've done a few trips to castleton, how did you get down, there is a very large cliff before the castle? Chris B
chris Bull Hi, I walked up cave dale from castleton and then cut up the back of the steep cliff. If you want a bit more info, like a marked up map just let me know 👍
Great video!
HB Maverick thanks for watching and your kind comment 👍
Good one Rich 👍.....audio sounds spot on , did you get a new mic ?
Lynne Luxon-Jones thanks. No this was done on the iPhone internal mic. I forgot I had the one you leant me! There was zero wind so maybe that helped with the sound being better quality? Looking forward to Wales this weekend??
Hey Rich nice work mate great pix looking forward to seeing more from ya cheers paul
Nice vlog. Part of watching vlogs is "discovering new places". This is on my list to visit. Thanks.
Nice work Rich. I’ve watched through Andy’s mention and I can see the resemblance in your styles. You seem a bit more controlled for want of better of words 😬 I was planning on visiting Rydal/Grasmere for my next vlog. You didn’t exactly sell it to me though 😳 Nice vlog , of the shots my fav is the 2nd to last. Keep going 👍
James R Burns thanks James, appreciate the watch and your feedback. Rydal & Grasmere are ok, of the 2 I prefer Rydal Water mainly because of the boathouse but the conditions need to be right as always .... Grasmere village is nice but the water bares little interest to me but don’t let that put you off going. Cheers
I’ve enjoyed these vlogs. Thanks for the follow on Instagram. Cracking images. I look forward to seeing more.
Thanks Richard, appreciate you coming over and checking my YT channel 👍 your IG Page has some great content.
Great vlog Rich, cracking shot at 08:00, found your channel through the Facebook group and looking good so far :) I love exploring in the Snow and did the same despite the warning can't miss a op for some snow shots.. Nice vlog showing of a few locations I need to visit in the future.. subbed and looking forward to more :)
go on rich lad I've seen a couple of ur vlogs n enjoy them keep em coming lad
I really enjoyed that vlog. I am glad you posted it. Looking forward to the next one.
Mark Bowering Photography thanks, I’m glad I did too now. I just wasn’t sure if it had enough content. I’ll keep plugging away👍 Cheers
GREAT humour....I got to '50 ducks' and was chuckling to myself :) Infinitely better than my first dozen vlogs and I really like the deadpan delivery. Cheers. "Look at the size of them!' LOL
andy sheader cheers pal, I wasn’t sure if my deadpan humour would come across well, but I’m glad you found it amusing so that’s a result in itself!
Well done Rich, enjoyed the vlog. Loved the shot at 8.00. Exactly what I have been out looking for today, but couldn't find. 👍
ian worth thanks Ian, I saw the misty trees on my way home (15 miles from home), and just had to spin the car around to go back, which was difficult on the snow covered roads around Otley!
Great vlog Rich, love the final image!
Andrew Benbow thanks, appreciate the watch and comment. Funnily enough those last images were taken 15 miles from home on the way back!! You’d never stop at these trees in any other conditions, but they looked pretty special in the mist & snow, so I turned round after 5 miles and went back!
Nice images and well put together vlog Sir Rich!!!!
mark linton thanks buddy
Brilliant Rich 👍👍 Love that Brathay image , cracking composition 👌
Lynne Luxon-Jones thanks Blondie. I’m really happy with that one. Still need to get the misty shot I’ve been after at this location though so I’ll keep visiting....
Nice vlog Rich, really enjoyable watch. You got some great images too. Keep it up 👍 ☺
Nice one fella, you’ve done the hardest bit and broke the seal👍🏻 one thing I have learnt is audio is so important.
Walk ins, look rounds, images , music....massive leap from previous Rich 👌👌 How blue was that blue hour ...not experienced that before ! Looking forward to seeing more from you 👍
Lynne Luxon-Jones cheers for the feedback 👍 that Sky was superb at Ashness!
The lakes are one of my favourite places to explore. So beautiful.
Hannah Morris such a stunning place to visit that’s for sure. I get up there as much as I can, and have a few trips wild camping planned for the summer months. Thanks for the interaction, much appreciated. Rich
Nice Vlog Rich. and some cracking shots at the end. I'm pretty new to this too so any advice I give could be rubbish but I might have tried to get an image in about half way through the vlog just to break it up a bit but not sure if that would have been possible with the conditions you had!
Scott Tilley Landscape Photography thanks for the feedback man, really appreciate it👍. I did plan to stick a stitched pano in around 7 minutes but they didn’t work out as planned. Thanks again Rich
07:30, I always do that 😝. Massive improvement Rich and I enjoyed it. Keep it up, cheers.
andy sheader cheers, I feel it’s an improvement too so nice to hear from someone else. I’ve practiced a bit since my first, so it’s good to be on the right track going forward. Still a lot to improve on if I decide to pursue with vlogging. Cheers
Perfect first one mate. Like everything we do, keep going no matter how you feel about it. You’re a natural..... unlike me on my first one.
Thanks pal, cheers for watching 👍
Awesome video Rich!!
Nice one Rich 👍
Cheers Lynne
Hi Rich, welcome to the world of vlogging 👍 I use Wondershare Filmora it uses a drag n drop timeline and there's thousands of effects and add ons available. Easy to learn too with its own youtube channel
Andy Beattie Photography thanks, I’ll definitely give that a look at 👍 also, thanks for the pointers prior to my final edit on this vlog. Much appreciated Rich
