Shnobel Tone Drive Pedal Tests! *Daily Driver, Ratatouille Distortion, and Boost!*

No talking, just a real practical test of some of my favorite Shnobel Tone drives within my pedalboard chain. More tone content on the way! *Don’t mind the pink chairs and desks, I share this office with my wife and our daughter.* 😊 The Shnobel Tone line up of drives stack SO WELL. I love how versatile they are. The Daily Driver, the Ratatouille Distortion, and the Shnobel Tone Boost all cover ...
To my ears the stereo field seems narrower in the Revelation. I noticed that on several videos to the point i thought it was recorded in mono (though it wasn't)
I believe the R1 has a feature that can widen how wide the stereo image can be. I will say, although the revelation doesn’t have that feature, it does have a nice stereo image too
I like the r1❤❤❤
I like it too! It’s such a great pedal!
Yeah everybody is using the jet rev and the bigsky... i want something unique and the latch feature in the r1 is hard to resist..🎉🎉
@@raldtechtv1251 I definitely really enjoy that latch feature! 🔥
I've been using multi fx all the time and now im so interested on going into analog pedals. May i know all these are direct input or it has feed into some amp?
In this video, these are going into an amp modeler from Universal Audio called Dream. It’s a fender style amp modeler going direct into the interface. Hope that helps!
@@Mike.D.Martinez Thanks! It sounds way more natural than those existing multi-fx! What are you thought about multi-fx (whether its Boss, Helix, Kemper, etc) and these analogs pedals?
@@MrLennonson I definitely think there’s a huge amount of value in multi effects units like the helix, quad cortex, even the Headrush prime/core. The technology has really come a long way. However it depends on your personal preferences, skill and style of playing, and just overall budget. Personally, I could get really amazing sounds from digital multi effects and still sound like myself, however I personally prefer the more natural sound of the pedals on a board rather than multi effects. Now, even with that being said, I still use a Headrush MX5 for certain gigs depending on the needs because of convenience. I sorta choose to live in the best of both worlds.
@@Mike.D.Martinez I am 100% agree to your point where you mentioned the natural sound of pedals and the portability of multi-fx, its sort of like give and take, nothing is 100% perfect. I am currently using Mooer GE300, but as for now i started to feel the limited versatility of it, that's why I am so curious about what should I upgrade next! Thank you for your response and can't wait for your next upload!
Definitely needing videos like this to help decide if I should make the switch. I have the R1. Sometimes feels a little too much to tweak everything. I only need a couple of presets and want an easier tweakability
For me, I switched to the Revelation reverb because I really enjoyed the algorithms and textures much more than the R1. But that’s just me though!
Do you use midi with it? Do you know if it’s pretty easy?
@@21asantacruz it’s definitely midi capable and is relatively as easy as most midi capable pedals to set up. I personally haven’t used it with midi though, mostly because it has its own preset functionality that’s super easy for me to use anyway
Is there spillover between presets?
There is!
'PromoSM' 😔
Revelation for me ..
Same!
Man thanks for making this video! I previously had an R1 but sold it and got the new Revelation… I’m kind of missing the R1. Just something about the it feels more organic to me.
I really enjoyed the R1 a TON. I actually personally enjoy the NEW Revelation over the R1 given that there’s new algorithms on it.
If this helped in anyway, consider subscribing! I got more demos and guitar related content on the way!
It’s grainy, yet really clear. Lots of articulation. Cool sounds man!!
Thanks man! Roman from Shnobel Tone makes really good drives! Super underrated.
