This is a beautiful country. I love its culture and the people are very friendly. They have always been welcoming to tourists and ready to help you in anyway they can. They do not expect to be paid for the assistance they freely offer. Ticos are hard-working people who are very family oriented. I have been coming to Costa Rica for over 10 years and have had many wonderful experiences exploring. I was very offended by this video! It is people such as yourself who give tourists a bad reputation. It is obvious that you do not know this country and it's people. You have no business making this video.

WHAT!? A whole HUGE group of people are not friendly due to their geographic location? What an ignorant and stereotyping statement. That was not my experience at all so maybe the problem was how your nasty attitude came off to the locals. What kind of person would say that a Caribbean community created from Jamaican Expats and Natives does not have any culture? Probably a person that does not realize their profound ignorance or a person who themselves lack education or understanding on what "culture" is. This channel's narrator has terrible colonizing and privileged attitudes that border on racism. Disgusting.

Perhaps the accommodations aren't 5 star, but, it's not a long ride from Panama City... the ride might take a little more than an hour.... Portobelo y nice one day trip... plenty to see and nice Caribbean atmosphere.

Why even do a video of a place you know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about? You had no idea where to go or what to eat. Seriously, it's a good thing you don't want to go back; but don't turn others off if you've no idea on earth what you're talking about. Ridiculous.

I got to 4:40 and had to stop, the guy in the video is quite ignorant and has given lots of false info, Panamanian food is outstanding and it is not all fried, yes there is lots of fried foods but not all, and Panama is a tropical paradise where tons of tropical fruits grow, you can find fruits all over the place, and there is quite a few good things to do in Colon & Portebelo you just need to go at the right times!!!

This is the most cynical travel guide I've ever seen. LOL> Very entertaining though.

WTF? My cousin is a vegetarian and lives in Panama and is eating very well, just because you didnt know where to go doesnt mean Panama isnt a place to go

1. The people ? well, there's variety of people every where you go, bad and good. 2. Place to sleep ? there's more than 5 good hotels in colon city, you just don't know them. 3. Food ? are you kiddim me ? our food is healthier than many other countries. we don't put steroids in our food or inject chemical in our food like many other countries. the rest I agree. =)

Ummm...I'm from Puerto Viejo and I don't get how you believe we are any less friendly than anybody else in the country. And no culture in Costa Rica? I understand you are referring to things pertaining to high culture but I find it highly offensive that what we eat, the music we listen to, the language we speak and our perspectives on live do not count as 'culture.' I think you have a lot of nerve and I hope everybody will ignore this clearly misguided tourist.
