I've seen much faster speeds on other SSDs than the Crucial M4. AnandTech is a great website for comparing them. Crucial is a good bang for your buck, but you don't want to cheat yourself of speed in video editing. The HyperX 3K and the Samsung 840 Pro seem to be really good ones.

I'm not coming at you Charles but I'd rather hear you explain what you're doing and the sound effects of what you're doing than the music you selected. You might have gotten more views through people facebooking and tweeting your vid because it was very useful, but no one wants to be misrepresented by the music. Honestly...I would build another machine for 4k video.

Have not tried 4k video. Dont have the hardware to do so. Bit however the machine has been working fantastic with the highest video settings on my camcorder. I have a canon xa10. I also use final cut pro x mostly and some adobe in windows 7. I added a second sad to install mountain lion.

how has it work for you? have you tried RED material? 2k? 4k?

I am about to build my own high end video editing system and was seeking more information and education on the matter. I have viewed hundreds of videos and read many articles on the matter, some were helpful and some were not. Coaston's video is not helpful, but annoying due to the music and lack of verbal narration. A high end video editing computer for low end crap? Thumbs down. Not subscribing!
