How can you have shift paddles on a CVT?? if CVTs do not have gear...
as someone who has had a 2016 nissan sentra, CVTs can absolutely mock a gear shift. as a matter of fact, the way you see the gear "shift" at around 6000 rpm is something my old sentra did as well, and it had a CVT. when i put it in sport mode, it would do the same thing, just more aggressive. some manufacturers have their CVTs mimic the feel of a normal automatic to give buyers some of that feeling.

This is not the CVT, its a 5 gears box. I have the hybrid and the CVT box don't work like this one.
This is definetly the CVT gearbox, you can check it in Toyota Yaris specs.

yeah it "shifts" like a CVT to me. most people are used to a CVT not shifting as it accelerates, but some do mimic shifting like other types of automatic transmissions.
newer cvt are made to mimic shifting
@@ceo6849 I understand, they are even slower that way... the idea of a CVT is not to have to change gears and always have the torque available... shifts in a CVT are like putting a turbo in an electric car, it makes no sense. Not to mention that the sport mode with 110hp sounds like a joke.
