I marched small-block Dynasty (the old series on the old carriers) in high school, and the weight of that massive block frame is just absurd even on a small set. In college, we ran full-block Pearl Championship with 6" and 8" spocks and those were beefy too. I can only imagine combining the worst of both worlds to make a full-block set of Dynasty tenors. I don't blame them for not rocking two spock drums, just to cut any weight possible from the setup.

These drums sound awful compared to pearls and Yamahas.
Nah they’re just tuned lower than you’re used to
Dude I can feel the quads back pain from here

@@PepeTheJonkler that and paul rennick has talked at his UNT drumline camp about how you really dont need two spock drums and how 1 is enough
I fucking love the snare tuning

Sounds like one person playing 😮
Reminds me of the IP PR 06 snare clip. Super clean.
Was literally about to reference that clip.
Love the tenor section shorts 😎
And more ringless than ever
I heard they went to a stave snare drum this year, although I haven’t seen anywhere this be confirmed it would definitely take out some of that ring
those last crescendoing quarter notes to end the chunk were fucking emaculate. no joke.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
The phrasing is so gorgeous
When your homie is the camera man
JONZ ♥💚beautiful sounds
Great stuff!
Man that guy inside the right end just looks so happy to play drums. Good vibes, good beats
Fun fact he actually had a broken nose early in the season after a beach block
nailin' the basics, without any bs
Heck yeah. This is excellent drumming.
