Audio is better in November. Interesting and informative podcast. 👍
Good info, hope to meet all in Tanzania,
You need to work on your audio, Sean.
Yeah, we had an audio problem with one channel after 28 mins so this is the wide area recording without noise cancellation unfortunately :(
Great philosophy... I've seen it work during Slams Transport
Wow
Excellent interview ma'am. Wish you all the best.
Interesting interview. All the best, Lulu!! ❤🇧🇼
Absolutely amazing coverage!
Insightful and nice discussion
I truly hope,'even though I doubt they will ever learn,' the Angolan government learn a lesson as to how they struggling to convince foreign investers to invest in previously state owned entities, specifically in this issue at hand in finding any foreign company to partner with Angola government in this 'hot potato' 🔥,'new airport in this day and age of ICT era every knows how risky it's to invest in Angola in general ,never mind with the government of Angola. One point I wish to bring up is why the interviewer fails to ask a very simple and basic question; 'Why the airport that cost $7,5 million dollars has no website, ask why? Website is a very effective marketing tool, and yet the airport doesn't have one. Any shrewd invester would something is off, since Nov 2023 inauguration the airport is still closed. What kind of real and sound business gets inaugurated then closed? President Lincoln once said, "...you can fool some people all the time, but you can't fool all the people......" I hope for the discipline and respect for money this economic situation Angola is going through can last for at least 50 yrs, then Angolans will learn to respect money 💰 Read the articles and USA embassies advice on investing in Angola, and how many USA based investors lost money in Angola and having to have a marathon of court battles with the Angolan government.
Guys I should not be the person to say this to you, but what this airport really is, it's a bullsh*t. I live here in Angola and there is a reason the big guys like Elon, Buffets and Great investor "Big guys" do not make investments here. This system is full of shit an nepotism, and things here don't move slowly, the barely move. So we enjoy lots of 3th quality products, and you would be better off traveling to other places. Everybody here wants to emigrate, and you should ask WHY? This country is a BANANA Republic.
I dont understand why the most powerfull airlines forgot central America??? For example china /Mexico /Costa Rica…. How many people hate the Us hub .. because they need visa … and Can you image a central America conection to china by african continent as a new order Logic of conection ??? Central America-asia ???
Very eloquent, and clear.
Do you have employment opportunities
Grate conversation and insight ... keep it up!

there might be a new player in Africa Skies !! we are working on a new business (disruptive) model, if all goes as planned, the target is to take off (in Aug. 2024), my regards to Sean Mendis & Tatenda Karuwa
As an Angolan, I am proud of this project. I hope we create roads that are in good condition to facilitate access to municipalities and services.
This will be a good opportunity for the business, transportation and logistics for industry sectors
All the best
Os comentários estão desativados nas lives em relação ao novo aeroporto- kkkkkkkkkkkkk
I need an advise. I'm a mechanical engineer and I want to go for aircraft maintenance engineering diploma at 32
Sean, this interview took me down memory lane! I recall with nostalgia the spartan Flair Catering office, 9G-AET arrived etc . That bit about Togbe's attention to detail was spot on. Prior to the launch event, I presented an iconic draft advertisement for the maiden flight from Accra to Kumasi which showed the relative locations of the two cities on the map of Ghana connected by a line. With all the effort put into producing the draft, I felt it will be passed first time. However, the advertisement didn't get past the keen eyes of Togbe. He called to draw my attention to the fact that the position of Kumasi needed to be shifted a wee bit to one side! I remember wondering at the time if he were a geographer as well as an businessman! Anyway, when is the first wedding in the sky coming about?
I am always happy when i see an African Airlines succeed, congratulations.
