I thought this interview was nicely done! Personally, I think that Buck and Tommy are not done yet, but anything can happen!

This is clearly a DAMAGE CONTROL after the backlash. Buck is still nursing his broken heart. It makes sense that Oliver Stark was sent to the interview. But Hen has no outstanding problem on the last episode (8x07 "Hotshots"). It will be more reasonable if they sent Ryan Guzman, the handsome crowd-pleaser, whose character is still having an ongoing major issue (Chris is still not coming back). Or if they sent Jennifer Love Hewitt/Kenneth Choi to talk about Madney's next baby. They sent Aisha Hinds because they mishandled the bisexual representation so bad. Sending Aisha and Oliver is a reminder towards audience: "We still have TWO TOKEN QUEER REPRESENTATIVES among the main characters. So please keep watching us ☺️" Do they think we can't read their strategy?

FIRST thank you to the journalist. You are amazing at your work. And To the deranged Buddies saying things about this journalist who is only doing his job.. Here is just 2 questions of the Oliver Stark interview from TVLine: "TVLINE | Well, no matter what happens with Buck and Tommy, there will always be people beating the Buck and Eddie drum. OS: Oh, really? People? TVLINE | I mean, yes, I wanted it to happen. I still want it. I’ve just accepted that it might not be their path. When I wrote about Buck coming out to Eddie, I called Eddie a “good ally,” and I was ripped apart in the comments section. In this episode, when Eddie thinks the flirty priest is hitting on him, he says very plainly, “I’m straight.” Do we take him at his word? Are we to accept that Eddie is straight? OS: Listen, people are going to interpret characters, and they should, however they want to. I have no doubt that some people will interpret him saying that he’s straight as him hiding his true self. I don’t know where the story’s going to go. Maybe that is the case. I think the whole point of making any kind of entertainment is for the audience to interpret it however they want to. BT is canon and very much still in the plot, while it's been 7 years and not a hint of Your fanon happening so I guess it's time for someone else to GET OVER IT AND MOVE ON.... oh And it's never happening either.. leave everyone else alone...

This interview reminds me so much of an interview with Amell when Arrow was still on. Where he tells the interviewer that Oliver and Laurel's relationship is over forever, but she still tells him that the two of them belong together. Amell reacted the same way as Oliver. And spoiler alert: they never got back together. It was unpleasant to watch back then and it is also unpleasant to watch it this time with Oliver in this situation.

May they never bring Tommy back. Him and Buck were a terrible fit, had zero chemistry and I never liked the character. Boring as a brick

I for one am happy that Buck is moving on to bigger and better things.

It's sad and utterly pathetic that Oliver's all but screaming "Master gave Buck a divorce, Buck is FREE!" And still, it's not penetrating through their thick skulls that their precious wonder bread is now crumbs.

Tommy is, thankfully, never coming back and that's for the best. Absolutely no chemistry between the actors, it's like Oliver was held at gunpoint and forced to act every scene he was in with Tommy. And the character of Tommy has no development, no spice, nothing unique about him; his return was written to be a plot device for Buck to discover his sexuality, a mere stepping stone. Tommy is an awful partner as well; I mean come on, gifting basketball tickets to a guy who's canonically disinterested in basketball, and that's after six months of being in a relationship. The only surprising thing about the breakup was that it happened so late. Tommy and Buck are not a good match in any universe, and to quote Maddie, Buck needs to trust the universe will send him a special person. And who knows maybe that special person has already been sent ;)
