Is it very loud? Too loud for long distance touring
@RickyG512 it depends on engine build. The higher the compression the louder it is. But this a bigger diameter burns. 2' primaries. I wouldn't recommend for touring . It's more a drag pipe. I wear hearing protection on long trips. 6 gear isn't bad but if your in 5th it gets really loud
Looks good, sounds great!
I run a Vulcan sprocket (referred to as "compensator eliminators" to amuse non-,mechanics, it's nothing else or different than a sprocket) and quite like it. As other compensators in my fleet age out they will be replaced with sprockets. Compensators effectively act as a solid unit above low RPM. HD are the only make attached to a rather silly idea which inherently has problems. You don't need a compensator as countless earlier HDs including many Ironheads demonstrate. The struggle to get durable compensators reflects that it's a bad idea in the first place.
Hey Buddy how much more hp/tq did you pick up with going to the Burns exhaust and 11:5:1 cr
I lost hp with the burns alone. With added compression burns and injectors we made 20hp extra
Just found you but what brand is that chain tensioner?
It's a twin power .they make one for 32t and 34t sprockets
В этой конструкции не хватает успокоителя цепи...
It has one. It's in red
I call bullshit hundred percent bullshit 7000 km and the paint is not even worn off and you don’t have any grease anywhere bullshit!
I don't use grease. Maxima degreaser and I use motul chain lube. Then wipe off excess lube.🤷♀️ I don't need to lie. I am actually on my second chain now. The first one lasted 40k miles .
Is yours a stock high compression 124 w the 640 cams or have you done some upgrades already?
It was a hc . 10.8 but we raised it to 12.1 and it runs on e85
When it made the 135hp, was that with those mods?
@Rider_2013_ no. It's 150 now . But my throttle body is the choking point. With a bigger tb and abit more compression we could have made 160 with e85
What did you try for fuel at 12.1 just e85?
@keithdrum1715 in winter I run 91 pump. E85 in the summer
Did you have to change the clutch pack also, what size throttle body you running.
No I am running a stock clutch and basket with an aim lock up. Tb is a screaming eagle 58mm
Cheers bud.
@@rsv4rider I will be posting soon what changes I have made to the t124
I installed the same sprocket but i need that chain tensioner
it is no longer a compensator once it is solid as it cannot compensate for engine vibe being solid lol. it is a compensator eliminator lol.
Yup you're right
Sweet!!
I know its been a few years sinceyou pisted this but how are they protection wise? Dont see any heavy knuckle or scafoid protection? Are they mainly for heat rather than protection. Other brands like keis may offer better protection.
They dont have protection like other gloves do . That's a trade off with these gloves. They are soft leather which helps with some protection.. the reason I chose theses where because of their dexterity.. I don't like bulky gloves.
Are those wheels 10in wide?
Sorry those are 8x 6.5 -20mm offset
@@taps_1021That’s bolt pattern LOL
@yellow2000SR 10 wide 😁
Have you sold or traded the D&D ?
Are you selling the D&D
I hope you have a big motor with a lot of compression making north of 165 hp minimum to make full use of that pipe!
Your correct.
Good information...i plan on building my 124 next year... Are you using the easy start cams?
Yes and 640 cams
Hi, this is Marcus … I have the same oil leak issue same engine. Wondering which bolds did U retorque ? We’re there only the two bolds for the rocker housing that are under the gasket flaps you showed in the video? How much did you torque them and did it fix the issue ? Please let me know … Thank you.
The bolt on the left rear corner was some what loose compared to the others. I first tried to re torque. Worked for a month. Then I called S&S for gaskets still at the time covered by warranty. Then I replaced gaskets and it lasted 6 months. The torque specs are 18 lbs and the two small bolts are 100 inch lbs I think
@@taps_1021 so after you replaced the housing gasket and cover gasket it only lasted 6 month? Wow !!! I have this leak now for awhile and its to the point right now that something has to be done. What about possible clearance issues on the rear left rocker cover bolt 1/4 and frame? If u remember how many bolts did hold the rocker housing ? BTW, I am in Cali too … San Diego
The lower rocker box might be warped. Atlest I think mine is. There's ten total bolts holding the rocker box . 6 holding the top valve cover. I had to cut down an Allen to get the valve cover off. Tight Frame . Clearance but it can be done
I am on ig with under the same name send me a dm we could talk
How many miles to a tank are you getting? Mine is literally in the shop right now getting this motor, I'm beyond anxious to get it back!
I get 33mpg at 90 mph. It's really hard because I am an agreessive rider
Looks killer! Might do these on my 2nd gen
What made you swap vs building?
The price. Only 1 thousand dollar difference and no wait time
No tq or hp automatic 👎 Sad, my carb t-111 is better than that🤣
🤔 we were adjusting timing and afr. My timing was set at 40 ° from a map that was given to me.
What do you think now
Well there's pros and cons. While the 32t is very responsive and makes more usable power down low. I prefer my power on the other side of the power curve. Higher rpms. If I had the resources I would bullet proof the whole drive train. I am currently running the oem comp 34t screaming eagle.
Good I wish my M8 sounded like that... Nothing sounds better than a twin cam
You can make them sound with a nice cam and pipe
How are the Comm3 nowadays??? I had a puncher in my HD Dunlops at my Ultra Ltd ‘21! They charge €525 ($562) incl mounting here in Holland. I read so many bad reviews. Also a retired Michelin sales guy i know…..would buy a Avon Cobra Choom set on his RKS!! That says a lot
I haven't had bad luck. But I did hear some stories of issues online. But my local rep assured me I wouldn't have issues. . So far a have about 25k issue free. Once I hit 30k all be looking for another set .
I just went with the PSR tensioner on my 103ci
Were you comparing this pipe to the D&D with a vortex baffle or big bore baffle when you mentioned that the D&D was louder? Thanks for the post - it's tough to find videos of the burns pipe.
Just a quick comparison between the two different 2 into 1. The D&D had the big bore baffle. Or the loud baffle. Vs the burns. I'm not sure if burns has different baffle options.
What D D dod you have on?

sounds good love the idle
Most tire issues are do to insufficient suspension.
My tire pressure Is always on point since I use my bike to commute weekly 500 miles a week . Front is set at 35 rear is 40. Those casting marks have been there since day 1. The doesn't wobble or do anything weird
@@taps_1021 I don't understand your comment in regards to mine. Is that a roadglide? Can't tell from footage. Nice engine. How are the tires now?
@Bret Archibald sorry I mixed comments. 😅 it's a 15 roadglide with a S&S t124. I am about 20k in with the tires and they are holding up good . I can easily see getting 35 to 40k out of a set.
Does the line running down the middle of both tires serve a purpose or is that a defect?
I think it's a casting mark
Is that tyre put in good direction?
It sure is 👍
I need this so bad.
Beautiful bike! That 130/130 is my ideal target. My buddy tuned his to the point of being really fast and just as quick to overheat.
Do you run the stock 6 speed with a better clutch and chain drive? I have a stock 103 with cams, want to do the same motor but don’t know what to do as far as transmission
I am running a stock trans and clucth . But i do have a aim varible speed on my clucth. I currently have 60k + miles. No trans or clucth issues. Just dont beat on the trans and it will last
@@taps_1021 Thanks man I appreciate it
Most tire issues are due to inattention to pressure on any set up or brand. Pay attenion to your most important task as a rider.🎉
I had the same valve in mine , same problem oil pressure up and down , not only that but those ( junk double piston cam chain tensioners ) with the cheap very fast wearing plastic shoes , got rid of both and put the tapered end valve and spring in like you did . My bike is down now , one thing I found , among others , was the fueling , red tensioner shoes , the inside one , the piston had came threw the plastic and was grinding on the cam chain in less than 15.000 miles . Im going to try the cyco gaskets 9906se shoes this time , you can scrape , sand or how ever , threw the plastic enough to set the shoe down on something , and gently bump the metal piston cup down out or the plastic and install it in the new shoe .
your tires are not mounted in the same direction
🤔🤔
Not sure what he means, def going the correct direction. How many miles did you end up getting. I've never gotten close to 20k, but have yet try the Commanders.@@taps_1021
