Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary Part 2
มุมมอง 12416 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
After a fabulous week at Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand we decided to do another week volunteering at their sister site in Cambodia - the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary. While it was a very different experience it was still incredibly rewarding and educational. We were so lucky to have the same guide as we had at ENP (Sumo!) and a great group of volunteers. It is much smaller than EN...

Elephant Nature Park: Elephants Uncut - all our elephant footage!
มุมมอง 13714 วันที่ผ่านมา
Had a couple of requests for more elephants - so here is all our footage without me wittering in the background! The reason we came up North to Chiang Mai was to volunteer for a week at the Elephant Nature Park. Widely regarded as Thailand's number 1 ethical sanctuary - if not the best in Asia (or the world!) - booking early is essential. Right up to going it was in doubt as the horrendous floo...

We have explored inside the main quadrant of the Sukhothai Historical Park and travelled to the Si Sachanalai Historical Park (see previous 2 videos). So today we're back on the push bikes and exploring the outer temples - some of which are featured in the recently released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle console game. rossiesgoroaming

Having spent a day exploring the historical park at Sukhothai we decided to go a bit further afield. after renting a scooter from our hotel we headed for Si Satchanalai and Wat Kok Singkharam. Despite cramp from driving the scooter it was a great day out - with both places being incredibly quiet. rossiesgoroaming

After such a fabulous time in Chiang Mai and in particular at Elephant Nature Park we reluctantly got on a bus heading south. Our destination was Sukhothai - the first capital city of Thailand. We found a lovely hotel in what turned out to be a charming and quiet old town - make sure you stay in the old town if you visit! On the first day we explored the historical park on bikes we hired from o...

Thanks, but just doing it for a bit of fun
I love animalls
"rambjutn"? :-D
Rambutan is a medium-sized tropical tree in the family Sapindaceae. The name also refers to the edible fruit produced by this tree
@RossiesGoRoaming thank you, I've had many a rambutan myself. I'm referring to their pronounciation in the video. 🙈
Hi, did you manage to check the cost? RJ quoting me 1490 ringgit per person direct with them? Xx
Yes, their prices have gone way up since we were there unfortunately
I love elephents
Haha, after seeing your review of your three months this is obviously the room you paid extra for a window with extra road noise. My hubby used to do white water rafting so he'd be good at keeping us in the right place hopefully. How long was your canoe trip? Great footage of the fish and the way the orangutan gently took food from the keeper. Lovely to see them hanging out feeding.😍
Canoe trip was about 3 hours with lunch provided at the end.
Hope that you guys have had a good time and a pleasant stay in Borneo.
It was brilliant - thanks!
I have a lot to catch up on but I will watch your 13 week trip as there are a lot of things you have done that interest me. Talking about friends met on travels, we met up with a couple yesterday for lunch who joined us on the Ha Giang bike ride in March last year after chat on one of the Vietnam FB pages. Great reminiscing and you probably have a new subscriber. One quick question about tuk-tuks and rain in SL. Did you take your typical summer raincoat or would a light poncho work? I'm thinking the raincoat will be too hot but may work better to keep the rain off? Keep up the great work, who needs a travel agent when I can get all my ideas from you! You need to start charging commission. 😁
We just took cagoules but poncho would be fine - wasn't cold. Always great to meet up with other travellers - we are members of the Go With Less Facebook group - regular meet-ups all over the world (we have one in Siem Reap tomorrow!). Just happy if the videos help anyone, we get so much benefit from others 😀
@RossiesGoRoaming Wonderful. Have a great weekend. 😀
Hi, did you register your drone or are they chill on koh lipe ?
I registered although have never been challenged
Hi There! Great video! Did you find driving the tuktuk in Ella hard at all? As in harder than anywhere else in Sri Lanka seeing it's hilly?
Yes, a bit harder until you get used to which gear for the hills etc, but then ok.
Great video. Hello "Sumo" (toward the end of your video) who was my group leader when I was there in August.
We've just arrived at the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary - and Sumo is now here and our group leader!
@RossiesGoRoaming he was at ENP, CM when I was there
Yes, he has just come here for 3 months
@@RossiesGoRoaming he is a great leader 😊
Ohh,,,lovely 😂🐊🦎🦖
Very interesting. Thank you.
Nice Video, been there 👍
Great helpful video. Will earmark this for our next visit.😊
I think your next adventure should be noway lofuten or malmo sweden i tbink those placrs are great ski resorts and fabulous vodka tasting you cant beat being in another part of the world life is an adventure in itself ( be the change you are trying to create a well known quote by ghandi ) take care on your next adventure guys and look forwards to your next video ive thoughly enjoyed watching your thiland videos ❤️👍😊✋
Very nice my friend
Siblings' rivalry! Need to discipline the bully one to respect with love to its siblings.
Awww, thanks for sharing, enjoyed the 3 videos. You clearly had a memorable time there. Looking forward to seeing the Cambodia videos.
I may not mention the cats to Phil. 😂
They're in their own cat kingdom - easy to avoid!
Love the park guys all you need is a bonfire some ratten fans and emporor and afew drummers dancing round lol it looks epic with all those old buildings and the sun is beaming down brilliant video guys 👍✋❤️😊
How many spiders were in those bananas….?
Didn't see any spiders - just a rat!
I like ancient old
WOW Amazing
Koh lipe is our fav island too. Beautiful + so walkable 👌 Looking forward to returning this month
Incredible, Im going in April to volunteer too! I cant wait. Thanks so much for sharing 🙂
You'll love it! We've just booked the Cambodia Wildlife Sanctuary for later this month - hoping it's as good!
I bet that will be fantastic. I came here a couple of years ago and always dreamed of coming back. After the recent floods it sure felt the right time 🙏
Aww i hope you can make more vlogs for us to watch theyre sooo good and enjoyable not to mension the zoos and sufari parks you visited i bet the people there were lovely to talk to i loved the noise out of those baby elephants sooo cute all the best for new year guys 😊👍✋🎉🤗❤️
So good my friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Missing ENP and all of you so much! Thanks so much for the great videos 😊
Wonderful
We where at the right time at the right place. I got tears in my eyes because of the happy elies. ❤❤❤
What a fabulous experience, another to add to our list, giving us lots of ideas. ❤ We are heading off to Southern India in a month and then a month later in Sri Lanka. Can't wait to follow in your footsteps in SL.
I'm sure it will be great. Be interested to hear how you get on in India as that's still on our list! Just booking to head back to Cambodia and Vietnam in a couple of weeks - too cold and wet here!
@RossiesGoRoaming sounds perfect, which is why we head off Feb/March. We had a week in Morocco in November so that was a nice bit of sun just as the weather was turning. Stayed in Marrakech for four days then three out visiting sites in the desert.
Totally agree but Koh Mook was awful! The mosque megaphones five times a day with the soi dogs joining in howling made us leave after first night when we had booked and paid for six.
Oh no! We didn't hear the megaphones, just the traffic to and from the pier.
I love animall
Nice guys, keep going we loved Chang Mai 😊
Thank you so much 😁
When were you actually there as the TH-cam things says 12 days ago and you are saying no dugong ( yapon) for 12 months. It’s December 2024 now and we were there in July 2024 with mr Yong and we saw quite a few dugongs and sea turtles but the dugongs were huge .. evening along the pier they come in to feed on the grasses as well as around the other side of the island near the fishing village where there is sea grass
We were there in November and that was when he told us none for 12 months! Jan is gutted - really wanted to see them. Glad you got to see them anyway - he obviously just exaggerated his times a bit!
@ if you go back go in July. Definitely there then. We are going in January as well. Will let you know if we see them then
We were there in March last year and saw dugongs and turtles off the pier. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Definitely go back!
i enjoyed this video but views problem if you wish ican hundle youre youtube channel i am seo and social madia expert
How is Khao Lak Thailand ? which is strategically located place in khao lak ? Is Rakkawan hotel nice hotel ?
Khao Lak covers a large area so it depends if you want a quiet area or somewhere more lively
@@RossiesGoRoaming Lively area...close to beach, shops, thai massage, vegetarian food

good video..thanks for sharing..
Thanks
Great help to us and thank you for making this video. We will defo try and stay here.
It was great - hope you make it there!
Thanks for the amazing inputs.can u please tell the resort or hotel name@@RossiesGoRoaming
@pradeepdasgupta6469 It is the Mountain Resort
Sorry to inform you, but those are rip-off prices - much cheaper ways to get there, and much cheaper accommodation on better beaches. There is also a thing called "haggling".
Yes, we realised there were better accommodation options when we were there - couldn't haggle the price as it was through Agoda.
This brings back memories of our amazing time in Koh mook and snorkeling in Koh kraden, love Thailand hope your having fun 👍
We hadn't done these islands in the south before. We'll definitely be back to explore further.
fabulous channel! Keep up the good work. I subbed 🪿
Thank you!
I looove koh lipe 💜💜
We did too as you will see in the next video (I'm a bit behind on editing!)
thanks for visiting malaysia. traveled to lipe from langkawi by speedboat some 10+ years back. speedboat ends at makeshift pontoons before a smaller boat ends the trip at lipe beach. makeshift immigration was under palm tree along the beach. beautiful rustic place koh lipe with wonderful snorkeling and diving spots. there were only scooters or motorized tricycles then. enjoy
We loved Lipe as you'll in the next video!
