The song is about appreciating the work of teachers. Asking God to bless the teachers for their work so that they continue offering the service for the better education.
They were simply appreciating works done by teacher. They were saying works done by teachers should go on. Teachers produce doctors, nurses, Lawyers etc so God should bless their works.
