Hello, this is great! The second and third statements are correct. The first one, if I have understood exactly what you say, isn't because we can merge two crotchets in the middle of a bar. When we count in or to 3, the first two positions can be joint together, the second and third can't. If we are in 3/4 and we have a rest lasting 2 beats, we can put a minim if the beats are 1 and 2. We have to put 2 crotchet rests if these are in position 2 and 3. I explain this in detail in my ebook about time signatures, grouping and counting. Hello and thanks for your message. Option 1 is wrong because the second count should be a crotchet and a quaver with no triplet sign on top of it. The fist option has changed it into a dotted rhythm which is incorrect. I hope this makes sense 🌷😊🎶

Hello and thanks for your message. We don't always cancel the top note but only the notes that are doubled. In the case that you mention, D. The chord is that of G, IV degree of D minor. Since at the bottom of the written chord we have the third note of G minor, the position is c and not b. Does this makes sense? let me know. 😊🎶💪🌷
