Hey, I am going to be studying it very carefully again. I will try to add more content on it. There's even a class forming up. It takes lots of study and applying it to personal life and Journaling and writing and sharing with others. I could give you name of teacher and email, if you're interested.

Praises to 'Bardo Teachings' by Lama Lodü "Bardo Teachings is remarkable because it reveals a significant portion of the secret tantric path. This is genuine tantra-not a potpourri of Western self-help instructions and fragments of Eastern thought. . . . It is as true a guide to tantric Buddhism's view of life and death as can be found in print." -San Francisco Chronicle "Bardo Teachings is an excellent pick for anyone looking for a greater understanding of the Buddhist cycle of death." -Midwest Book Review

I am neither this nor that nor the content of what is perceived as being. Know it to be pure existence, all embracing consciousness and the joy immortal. Be brave with such clear vision, discard all attachment to being and non-being, and gently, gently, merge in that Truth that fills all with enlightenment, and serene joy -- AUM.

"Milarepa was a mystic who lived in Tibet. One day a young man came to him and said, “I want to attain some powers. Please give me a mantra.” Milarepa said, “We don’t have any mantras. We are mystics. Mantras are for magicians, for jugglers - go to them. We don’t have any mantras - why should we need powers?” But the more Milarepa refused, the more the young man thought that there must be something there - why else should he refuse? So he kept returning to Milarepa again and again. Great crowds always gather around the saints who drive people away with sticks or throw stones at them. The crowds think that the saint must have something special otherwise he would not be driving people away. But we don’t realize that attracting people through an advertisement in a newspaper or through throwing stones at them, is the same trick. The propaganda is the same. And the second way is more manipulative and cunning. When people are driven away by someone throwing stones, they don’t understand that they are actually being attracted. This is a subtle way of doing it. And the people do come although they have no idea that they have been seduced. The young man thought that perhaps Milarepa was trying to hide something so he started coming everyday. In the end Milarepa got fed up so he wrote him a mantra on a paper and said, “Take this. Tonight is the night of no moon. Read this five times during the night. If you read it five times, you will get the power you want. Then you will be able to do whatever you want to do. Now go and leave me alone.” The young man grabbed the paper and turned round and ran. He did not even thank Milarepa. But he had not descended the steps of the temple when Milarepa called after him, “My friend! I forgot to tell you one thing. There is a certain condition attached to this mantra. When you read it, you should not have any thoughts in your mind about a monkey.” The young man said, “Don’t be worried, I have never had such a thought in my whole life. There has never been any reason to think of a monkey. I have to read this only five times. There is no problem.” But he made a mistake. He had not even descended to the bottom of the steps when the monkeys started coming. He became very scared. He closed his eyes and there were monkeys inside; he looked outside and even where there were no monkeys, he saw some! It was already night, and every movement in the trees seemed to be a monkey. It seemed that monkeys were everywhere. By the time he got home he was very worried because up until then he had never thought about monkeys. He had never had anything to do with them. He took a bath, but while he was bathing the monkeys were with him. His whole mind was obsessed with only one thing - monkeys. Then he sat down to read the mantra. He picked up the paper, closed his eyes - and there was a crowd of monkeys inside teasing him. He became very much afraid, but still he persevered the whole night. He changed his positions; he tried to sit in this way, in that way, in padmasana, in siddhasana, in other different yoga postures. He prayed, he bowed, he begged; he cried out to anybody to help him get rid of these monkeys. But the monkeys were adamant. They were not ready to leave him that night. By the morning the young man was almost mad with fear and he realized that the mantra power could not be attained so easily. He saw that Milarepa had been very clever, he had put a difficult condition on him. Milarepa was crazy! If there was going to be a hindrance because of the monkeys then at least he should not have mentioned them. Then perhaps the mantra power could have been attained. In the morning he went back to Milarepa crying and said, “Take your mantra back. You have made a big mistake! If monkeys were a hindrance in using this mantra, then you should not have mentioned them. I never usually think of monkeys but the whole of last night the monkeys chased me. Now I will have to wait for my next life to attain this mantra power because in this life this mantra and the monkeys have become united. Now it is not possible to get rid of them.” The monkeys had become united with the mantra. How did they become united? His mind insisted that the monkeys should not be there and so the monkeys came. Whenever his mind tried to get rid of the monkeys, the monkeys appeared. Whenever his mind tried to escape from the monkeys the monkeys came. To forbid is to attract; to refuse is to invite; to prevent is to tempt. Our mind has become very sick because we don’t understand this simple point. We don’t want to be angry - then anger comes like a monkey. We don’t want to be sexual - then sex appears like a monkey and gets a grip on our being. We don’t want greed, we don’t want ego - and they all come. But whatever we want - spirituality, religiousness, enlightenment - doesn’t seem to come. That which we don’t want, comes, and that which we try to get, never appears. All this perversion happens because of not understanding this simple point of the mind."

there's no happiness in buddism. I had a supervisor who knew absolutely nothing about commercial construction, he came to me and asked me how long it would take me to finish this one part of the job and I told him so many hours (i dont remember), and he instantly replied "oh that's too long" I looked at him and said "how would you know?" which he wouldn't and didn't. He shook his head, I knew he was a buddist because he told me a while back just chatting. I looked at him and said, " it doesn't matter anyways" he said "why not?", I said, "because this is all an illusion". He looked at me and angrily walked away. He didn't last he made the dumbest decisions and embarrassed us as he would challenge other contractors who said he couldn't do certain tasks, he made several bets with others to finish a job in that amount of time he claimed it would take, it was painting some bollards, he took so long on the first one as the contractors were laughing at him, he stopped didn't even finish the first one and walked away in total humiliation. What a freakin clown.

Yes, I could imagine. I am sort of in construction handling the IT, and I would certainly not be good at the project management nor the estimation nor the craft, but my brother, who's been at it for many decades, is a master at it and directs large construction projects.

I have no idea what Fortnite is about, it sounds like it was targeted for teenagers and older. If you BELIEVE this story...I got a bridge to sell you. The first woman was a witch... the radio repairman was, previously, in the military. They used him and his children to conduct experiments in order to introduce malevolent spirits that "help" to accomplish EXTRA HUMAN ABILITIES, through hypnosis and spirit tampering. By participating in this "technique" you will introduce spiritual beings into your life that will use you as a portal. Sure, you'll get a few trinkets... but what does it prophet a man to gain the world and LOSE his SOUL? Take Care... make the right decision.

Hi there Billy Huang. Thanks for your patience. You inspired me to get my lazy ass back to continue reading the book. Please continue our adventure in my reading and your listening to the book Wake Up. I have re-started reading this wonderful story of the Life of The Buddha by Jack Kerouac, starting where I left off at "reading 3" this one you listened to, completed way back in early February 2019, leaving off at page 15. So 9 months later, I have begun reading from page 15 for the fourth reading session of this book. Check it out at tinyurl.com/wakeupr4p1 . Know that this new session is the fourth reading, and it is broken up into three parts, and the link is only for part 1 of the three parts, the first part lasting around 13 minutes, the second 13, and the 3rd, 3 minutes. From page 15 to page 22, I got only 7 pages read. I was hoping to get farther, but I was a little sick, caught a cold, as you can tell from my voice. Thank you for listening to me reading it. Hope it inspires you to study further. Om Ah Hum, Jairo Jamyang Pawo.

First one must answer the question "am I the environment and/or is the environment me?". The more one digs and connects the dots- Yes our health and the land we inhabit are linked, as is our story with the lands and sights we find most intimately connected, and so on... Basically we, not unlike wild animals, are mostly environmental indicators that are the result of conditions. There are ways to input energy &/or utilize nature's energies (have to be in line with nature, truly, and not damaging/ pure selfishness) to be a righteous person nowadays, but is anybody more good than not nowadays? I doubt it, given we are all linked and the absolute cynicism that's getting worse and worse, people getting more and more divided and more and more sensitive lol It gets to a point where for instance if a river has 8 dams, is it even remotely a river any longer?... The same with us as a species claiming divinity
