Would you do a SMD Soldering w/ Hot Air Tutorial video?
Absolutely! This is actually on my todo list atm 😃
Love good tips - even if they're late in life. I have a mini butane soldering iron with the heat gun option and have been clumsily using the tip, for ages. Duh.
Great to hear that it helped! Good luck with trying your heat gun 😃
get a solder vacuum station, thank me later :P
I’ve actually heard of those! Would be very interested if one needs an expensive one or if a fairly cheap one will do the trick just as good 😃
So helpful! And yeah smart especially if you have a box of things sitting. Could be quite a rare set of things!
Thank you! 😊 I am fairly sure many many DIY people tragically have this box 😂
what temp do you use on your hot air ?
Yes, I'd love to know as well. I'm always afraid of going too high, or going too low and then having to heat for too long
Great question! I have mine set to around 340C which does seem work very nicely!
Thank you 😊 This was really interesting
Thank you! Did not try it on through hole yet but I will....
It’s definitely worth it with some components getting more and more expensive and rare! 😃
So you make standalone device and then control with the computer. Zero logic was found :D
Sounds so good! Solid bass voice!
Thank you so much! Yeah it’s a very solid bass voice 🙌🏻
the schematics at 0:50 doesnt look right , on 1 hand the output is mono , and on the 2nd hand the moment you plug something in the output you cut one of the sides
Not really - in fact this is called normalization. When you only have a mono signal you still want to be able to hear it on both sides of your headphones right? Therefor the input of the top jack is normalled to the bottom (in this case the right input) jack so the resulting signal will be stereo and can be listened to with both ears.
@@wgdmodular1252 i understand the left part of the schematics , i learned about this normalisation on the input of the clouds , but the schematics on the right , J3 , that i imagine is the output , looks like a mono jack doesn't it ?
Ah I think I recognize the issue here: The right symbol of the schematic is indeed the same one as for a mono one but if you put a stereo thonkicon there (they’re green) the normaled connector is the second channel. You should check their datasheet 😃
@@wgdmodular1252 indeed you re right , they made a really unintuitive schematic for their stereo jack
Great session 🎉

Amazing! Y'all make physical things faster than I make videos haha. Well done! Also, brilliant having the standoffs and back board as an enclosure for use outside of a rack!
Thank you so much! Cannot wait for your next video! Also can’t wait so see one of these physical things as you call em make it into your videos one time 😍🙌🏻
@@wgdmodular1252 Thanks so much! Might be sooner than later! And I'd love that! Just lifting my head out of the edit cave haha.
❤
This is such a good patch!
What you showing today maestro?
Just streaming a small Krell patch I came up with last night 😊
Must be really watertight if printed. ..
Really cool little synth! New subscriber ✌🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻😄 Welcome to the channel 😄
Yay another project I can port to a RISCV platform! 😀
Anyone how I get the hardware?
is that a spider plant"?
Yep it is! 😃
Like all of this, especially the demo at the end.
That is great to hear thank you 🙏🏻😃
Nice to see someone else with 3 o_Cs in their case!
Actually one of them is a temps utile 😄
Really cool demo of TBDings towards the end there!
just tried to compile the simulator in chromebook /linux container debian and got stuck on the git submodule init recursive step ... getting fatal: No url found for submodule path 'components/esp_littlefs' in .gitmodules
I had the same issue using the GitHub CI. I just send a mail to Robert and he mentioned he’s on it. I guess an issue in the repository to keep track of the problem would be good as well 😊
Lots of homebrew synths built on the ESP32 platforms. I jhad a qun mk2/which was insanely powerful when you got the yang of it... The synth sounds were always quite digital and a little thin alas ans thst seems yo be a shared quality of these littlr guys.
of course It can do anything.it is a Computer. Quiet boring
what would be the total cost (estimated) for a single enclosure like this? inc shipping..
I am looking for a little sampler/drum set machine and fx to control with sequencer. This should be working very well, shouldn’t it?
Yes indeed! The drum rack plugin should work very well for that 😄
@@wgdmodular1252 Thanks for the quick reply. Very impressive project. I will start building it. If it works well I will donate of course. 👍
But can it boil me a sandwich?
I guess that’s one of the few things it cannot do 😄
Why would someone boil a sandwich anyway? I‘d rather prepare it, maybe grill it with cheese. Boiling might might make a sandwich hot, but also sloppy and watery. To each their own.
@@awesome6323 My Joke This is your head -> (. _ .) It flew right above your head.
That’s so freakin cool! I wasn’t aware that ESP32 was powerful enough to run audio stuff - I mostly use it for home automation and MIDI stuff. Definitely checking this out!
Yeah it’s absolutely amazing how powerful the ESP32 is! I didn’t even cover the mighty drum rack plugin in the video. Might have to show that one in another video!
Wohoooo, waiting for this for some time :)
Super nice, thanks so much for covering TBD :)
But how do i order the pcb?
I think I should still have 2 or 3 spare pcbs flying around. Just write me a message over on instagram 😄
Vorausgesetzt ich habe es richtig verstanden, 😅 dann muss ich sagen, gelesen Teil.
Einmal Abo da gelassen ... Grüße aus Bremerhaven...bestelle demnächst mal wieder was ..
Grüße zurück und vielen Dank! 🙏🏻😊
I like the tune
Thank you! The jam was very spontaneous and unplanned. I should come back to these types of things more often 😄
"You could hide your weed in there" ~ Socrates
I would totaly put a module in that box
nice additions to weed lovers :) don't forget to put more water in v220 cable
Don’t forget to water the plant.
Of course! Gotta be honest it’s pretty dangerous watering the plant with all the modules next to it 🪴
Nice work this rocks
Thank you 🤘🏼
Omg I love this! Is this the Gen 3 battle theme?
@@marinerman24 I actually cannot fully remember if the midi file was from gen 3 or 4 but either way it’s pretty nostalgic 😄
Just hook it to my veinssss
Pokémon??
Yep check out my most recent full video upload! 😊
I don't know if you take requests but I'd love to hear the Game Corner music from Gold/SIlver.
Yeah sure why not! Is there a midi file available for it? Feel free to send me a link to it via instagram etc. and I will make it happen!
aah childhood memories :D
The champions theme (when you fight gary at the end) would be awesome to hear.
There might be something coming soon!
love analog synthesisers! how expensive Is a basic rack to start with? something that can make both synths and drums
If you plan on buying all modules finished from different manufacturers, it can get quite expensive very quickly. If you’re going to DIY route You were probably be able to have a fun rack with 200-300€ budget 😄 Definitely check out my longer videos for my info on DIY 😃
@@wgdmodular1252 thank you very much I will take a look :)
@@Leon90099 Great! Feel free to send me a message over an Instagram if you have any further questions regarding DIY 😃
