I remember playing the Sonic Adventure Demo like 40 times. Then my dad got us the real game. I dont remember disliking anything about it. I was terrible at it though. 😦

6:13 the way how Sonic was thrown away with his polygon body getting deformed and how cleaned the process of the emeralds came back to the island 💀 And Sonic falling down in the next cutscene was the cherry on the top.

Fun Fact: During the early 2000's and late 90's sega released a couple of their games on PC under the name "Sega PC", which included many sonic games like sonic CD, Sonic 3 & Knuckles Collection (which used the prototype music before MJ in Midi) and a few other games like Earthworm Jim. For Sonic 3D Blast they gave the PC the Saturn version; meaning for many kids playing it without a sega console, the saturn would be their first exposure to sonic at the time. It's a pity Sega PC is forgotten these days, especially thanks to the steam sega collection phasing it out for the Genesis versions only. -- personal story you can skip -- Believe it or not I still have a few with their box and the discs had the box art printed on them with blue ink; metal sonic being one of the coolest on CD. Sadly the security wasn't that good at the time and as a dumb kid I was about to break my sonic CD by somehow deleting one of the files needed to confirm it was official. So it thinks it's a fake and refuses to load after installing. I did panic as a kid and opened all the files I can to try and fix it and well; guess who found Devil Sonic in the files? I pretty much was scared of the game for a while. Recently I tried all the games on emulation and modern hardware and they surprisingly work (except sonic CD which just closes on launch) and they run at 10x speed.... unless you use the sonic fan program to slow them down! :thumbsup: ------ I think they're all archived online if you want to try them, Sonic 3D Blast and Sonic 3 collection being the best imo with earthworm jim being a close 2nd.

Ahh I remember the Dreamcast days. I was in 1st grade, and was addicted to Sonic Adventure and later, SA2 when it came out. My parents were poor, so we couldn’t afford any of the newer stuff, but they scrounged up enough to get me a Dreamcast. I played these games nonstop, until the GameCube versions came out, and then I played some more, imagining having a GameCube controller in my hands, until reaching 100%. Those were Truly simpler times. I remember waking up on a Saturday morning, powering up that old, huge box tv in my bedroom and pushing that round gray button. I fondly remember watching the orange spiral popping up on the screen, and then the CGI opening for Sonic Adventure started playing. Emerald coast was one of my favorite stages because of the whale scene, which scared the hell out of me at first lol. I’m 29, now, and talk with my fiancé about how gaming was so much simpler back then. Now’s a better time than ever to get back into Sonic since the Sonic X Shadow Generations is coming out. We just finished playing through Thousand Year Door together, and I’m thinking about introducing her to Sonic Adventure 1&2 since she never played them. I don’t know if I’ll be able to fight back the tears of nostalgia, but I’ll definitely try. I’m sorry for the wall of text, but whoever gets to this point, fans young or old, I love you, and thank you for being fans alongside me.

I enjoyed the series every minute of it from the gameplay to the scrapped characters to the ending I'm glad I watched this series and be a part of something even it was just recording myself watching it lol thanks for the amazing videos

From all the takes of exe-like Sonics, this has to be the most melancolic one, the story of forgotten characters who want to have a second chance to bright but saddly never gotten but in the the end, at least someone accepted and decided to fix all her wrongs; great work! ^^ And not going to lie, that ending did tear me up a bit

The Saturn era maybe wasn't the best in terms of games, but it is objectively the most underrated in terms of music.

This was an well done ARG just utilizing Sonic Adventure DX and it's mods, this Story was not those generic "AI Personalization goes crazy" or "Ex-Employee gets revenge" (besides having a bit of this vibe on the last video), or even the Most Miraculous/Bizarre/Strange/Mindfu*k Lore you ever seen, It's just Sonic Adventure story retold in a Darker, yet "Noir"/Different Line, you can see every reference on each episode, Congratulations Low Poly, you're maybe the FIRST finishing an Good Quality Sonic ARG.

This is the greatest series I've ever seen.

Given what she’s done so far. It’s genuinely cathartic to see the Spider-Girl have a breakdown as Sonic defeats Chaos.

And the story comes to a final act. It has truly been interesting to watch this story play out, even better, when there was a happy ending.

Yeah, this will go down as one of the best to ever do it in ARGs with custom mod support, phenomenal editing, interesting storytelling, and references to cut content that doesn’t feel forced in. This is hugely underrated and one of the best series I’ve watched by far. With this and the Sonic 3 movie, it’s a real renaissance of Sonic fandom.

Forgot to write this earlier, but this was awesome. Really a great way to have capped all this off! The loading screen with Super Sonic was probably the best way you could have induced hype for the scene that comes right after, had me letting out an audible "awwww yeah". That and having the beta version of Open Your Heart play over the final fight... chef's kiss. I think the beta version really fits, not because, well, it's the beta, but because it kind of carries over a greater energy of "we don't have much, but we're giving it our all here, let's stop this spider lady!" Like other people are saying, aside from the meta stuff, this genuinely feels kind of like a Sonic story that could have been written back then. Really good storytelling and character writing overall! Thank you for making this series, you did a wonderful job

There’s something about this that gives off such a childlike cartoony vibe, similar to that of Mario 64’s actual early development footage. I don’t know how else to describe it but it just makes the games feel completely different. Like it comes from a time long gone.

My favorite 3d Sonic Game of all time!! <3 (Sonic Adventure 1)

This may have been the best ARG, analog horror, whatever you call it, that I've seen for a video game. The plot was very fascinating, you utilized the obscure parts of the history of Sonic development really well, and you kept the characterization of the cast true to themselves. Teiros accepting his erasure while requesting Sonic to be saved was fantastic as we know the Teiros concept would later be revisited as Shadow the Hedgehog, giving him the existence he wants but in another life. Beta Super Sonic fighting Perfect Chaos with a beta version of Open Your Heart was not only awesome but it brought it full circle in us finally seeing all there was to see in the world of this Sonic Adventure beta build. But seeing Sonic accept Tikal's apology and guide her in understanding the error of her ways while still being supportive of her kind of brought a tear to my eye. The amount of care and support he's shown to his friends is why we've all admired him as a character aside from the speed and the cool personality he has. Not to mention the final scene where the game becomes the final finished product that the Sega Dreamcast was blessed to have was just the cherry on top to the entire story. I'm sorry if I rambled so much, but I loved your series so much, and this build up to the finale was worth it. I'm very happy with how this all played out and I'm probably gonna ramble about this to my friends now. But seriously, you did a phenomenal job. Thank you for making this series.

I love how this ARG isn't super in your face with its horror. It feels like an actual plot for a Sonic game just with a darker tone like how Majora's Mask is to Zelda.

Wish the CRT era would’ve lasted longer so I could’ve experienced the joy of low quality TVs longer than I did.
