So much hate and negativity though. Surely something in the video was positive as well? After all, we're not harming anyone and we're enjoying our time on this little ball of oxygen we call earth. Also, beach driving was banned for many reasons, but your version is untrue. The internet is full of people claiming their own versions, but the report from M van Schalkwyk is the correct and government issued one. ANY driving on a beach, damages the invertebrates. The dunes are a different story though.

Dankie vir die boodskap, enige iemand se opinie is welkom hier 😁 Net om ons kant te staaf. Die area waar ons die "flex" gedoen het, is n gereelde plek wat mens sien mense stop met voertuie. Dit word selfs as n "wild camp" gesien deur die overlanding community. Die los sand langs die pad het ons geen plant lewe seer gemaak nie en daar het wel heelwat spore gele. Agter die heuwel was daar motorfietse ook in die sand. Na ons die enkele shooter gedrink het (tradisie by Tankwa padstal), het ons op die privaat grond van die padstal gebly. Ons was nie op publieke paaie nie en dis slegs 3km van daar na die kamp plek waar ons gebly het. Ek verstaan wel steeds die punt van alkohol en Overland/4x4 gaan nie saam nie. Die idee was nie om mense sleg te beiinvloed nie.

I wanted to get a SUV for the overlanding trips, just easier to pack and a much more comfortable drive as well. I didn't want to have anything else than the V6 though.

According to my knowledge, it is part of the line to Cape Town.

@@ChristoffSmit It looks like the section from Kalbaskraal to Saldanha. Given that the main line is cut at Worcester, CT is nearly cut off from the interior by rail.

@phillipcollins9290 the railway line is to Saldanha...serve Saldanha Steel shelters with coal..at Kalbaskraal on the east southeast of the N7 and Dieprivier...Kalbaskraal is the junction for Saldanha and Malmesbury to Bitterfontein north..

It is very sad to see everyone walking around and all their belongings are everywhere. In the bushes, under the bridges. There was a couch on the railway that also washed away. Lots of clothes from little kids. Can't imagine being asleep and then all of a sudden this happens.

Without a doubt. It was difficult to film though, as the rain started coming down quite hard and the drone won't like that.

Each to his own I guess 🤷😂 Ons werk beslis nie so hard soos ons doen om elke naweek in die huis te sit met n klein karretjie in die driveway nie. Hierdie is ons speelgoed vir van die pad af, so hulle vat beslis punch, maar ons het hulle gekoop daarvoor. Na die trip, staan en rus hulle weer tot die volgende een 😁

We haven't found anyone yet that said they'll do it, so I do think this might have been a first yes. And I've already done the measurements for 35's on the van. However I think I will lose a lot of indoor space then 😂

It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. The donkey had to be done before each ones shower though, was a little small yes 😂 but on the positive side, 8min and it's fully heated. She just turned 1 year old, so still very active yes, but loving the outdoors. That is the fur color, so she is a Dachshund, but her coat color is dapple/tri merle.

Can't go wrong! Do it! 😂
