African Hoopoe feeds a Greater Honeyguide chick
มุมมอง 15010 หลายเดือนก่อน
Greater Honeyguide chick in nest of an African Hoopoe. The African Hoopoe keeps feeding the Greater Honeyguide chick even though it is not its own chick. This happens more often than may be expected. The Greater Honeyguide lays her eggs in the nest of other birds, hoping that the other birds will raise her chick as their own. This is known as a brood parasite!

Elephant charged us and wild dogs
มุมมอง 1.7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
One day an elephant charged our car and charged a pack of wild dogs. We discuss exactly what happend and have some laughs too. Elephants really do not like any predators, including wild dogs / painted wolf , and they are even more protective when they have babies. We got caught in the middle as an elephant cow charged at this pack of wild dogs, and decided to charge us as well. How should we ha...

    Thanks great video always wondered how the road looked via Lesotho only been up and down Sani from the Himeville side. I now think I will liketo try it your way as well. I just have a question. Would it not be easier if you mount the bike before your wife and she got off first when unmounting?

    • @welovenature360
      @welovenature360 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your kind words Bennie. On previous bikes I usually get on first, then my wife. But when we first tried on this one we struggled. Will give it a try again. It's all a bit comical still at this stage, as we are both new to the huge bike. But we are enjoying it, and hope to get smoother with time. Especially the awkward mount and dismounting.

    • @hurterbe
      @hurterbe ปีที่แล้ว

      @@welovenature360 Me and my wife are actually tandem cyclists so she is used to me getting on first then asking me If I am stable and ready for her to get on. I am 6'6" so if she would want to mount first I will most probably kick her if I try to mount afterwards 😅😅
