Thanks for stopping by my channel! I have logged over 4,500 hours playing Fallout 4 - primarily building settlements with mods. However, I am trying something new by building without mods and creating No Mod/No Glitch building tutorials and settlement tours. I also have posted some of my Sim Settlements 2 City Plan builds and Fallout 4 Transfer Settlement blueprints that are available on Nexus Mods.

Thank you for providing some of the best FO4 settlement construction content ever produced.
By far the easiest and most elegant Taffington roof fix I’ve come across. No aspirin required!
lol! Thank you! It’s nice to know that there is one less headache in Fallout 4!
Yet again another great build! Got a new subscriber after only two videos
Thank you and welcome! I appreciate your support!
Best Starlight build I've seen!! Great job! Thanks for the inspo!
Wow thanks! Glad that this inspired you for your Starlight!
Great job👍🤘,you got yourself a new sub
Thank you and welcome! Appreciate the feedback!
A woman always knows how to dress a house!
So true! Glad you like the tour!
@ Merry Christmas from England.
Merry Christmas to you too!
It’s a pity that the game does not a have perk for repairing houses. First rank, plaster, floors and walls, second rank, roof, doors and windows, third rank gardens, and landscape, fourth rank, electrical repair of fridges, dispensers, etc. A Handyman perk!
That is an excellent idea! I would love it if we could make “real” repairs - landscaping is high on my list and to be able to make use of the many appliances that are all around the commonwealth is a great idea!
Some very useful ideas here. Well done.
Thank you! Hope you can use a few of the ideas in your Coastal Cottage!
This is genius. Thank you so much.
Thank you and you’re welcome! I couldn’t figure out a way to fix the roof without mods or glitches so I repurposed it instead. Glad you like it!
This is great. Thank you for sharing your technique, very helpful.
You’re welcome! Hope it will help you with your Taffington!
How did you get that green guard post?
That one comes from the Vault-Tec DLC. Thanks for asking about that - I forgot to list it in the DLCs that I used for the build.
I won't even need a roof now!
I couldn't figure out way to repair the roof without mods or glitches - so I repurposed it instead!
Absolutely gorgeous build 👍
Thank you! Glad you like it ☺️
Definitely took me way longer to fix that roof 🙄 definitely going to use that warehouse wall for future builds. Thanks
You're welcome! Hope you will give it a try on your next build at Taffington!
You make it look so easy! The end results are stunning.
Thank you! I've been using this general style for a long time. This is what I build in most settlements when I need housing for settlers fairly quickly. I'll admit though, my first cabins were pretty basic (some didn't even have windows) but the design has developed over time. Hope you will give the cabins a try in one of your settlements!
What are "Glitches"? Do you mean places where a building is defying gravity?
Great question! I'm referring to building techniques that you can use to place items or build things that the game normally won't allow. Skooled zone did a few good videos on glitches and how to do them. He also has a top 10 building glitches video (if you are interested) that you can find here: th-cam.com/video/skzJ0P94aY4/w-d-xo.html I'm definitely not opposed to using glitches but for this video series, I want to provide viewers techniques that they can use with just the tools that the game allows to create a great settlement.
Excellent job on that elevated home. What do you use to make the recording of the gameplay "build" with? Not your overdub and finish stuff, what you record the actual live stuff with. All I have are screen shots. On Steam under WallyWallWhakr. I made a "Gunner Redemption Center" out of Coastal Cottage with 64 gunner traps, and a recent 12 deathclaw and 1 YG trap addition.
@cosmicraysshotsintothelight Sorry for the late response. I just found your comment. Sometimes they get buried under other comments and I overlook them. Thank you! I have an Nvidia video card and I use the Nvidia GEForce software the record the gameplay. I love your build concept for Coastal Cottage - that sounds like it is a lot of fun (maybe not if you are a gunner!)
What an amazing settlement you have created!
Thank you! Glad you like it😊
No mods? Having 2500+ wood aint no mod?
Yes - no mods. This character didn't start building until around level 60 and this was the first full settlement that was built. I had a pretty good stockpile of building materials by then.
@@cryingcube2 respect!
😊
Lovely, great tips and nice vibes 😌
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback ☺️
I love this! What a nice job.
Thank you! Glad that you like it and hope that you will give it a try!
@@cryingcube2 I just did! It worked well, had some trouble with perfectly aligning the walls but it worked out in the end.
Awesome! Good to hear! I remember it took me a few tries to get the wall aligned too but I'm glad that you were able to get it to work!
Thank you very much, I had to improvise on some parts because i messed up on the first floor in the home but I fixed it. But I still had to improvise on some areas. Thank you very much, have a wonderful week, Merry Christmas and have a happy new year 🫡🍻
Thank you! And thanks for your comments. I appreciate the feedback. This was my first tutorial video and I think that I could have done a better job on trying to point out things along the way that might make it difficult (or impossible) to place something later (I've tried to improve that in my more recent videos). This might have avoided a few headaches but I'm glad that you were able to improvise along the way. Adding your own touches is always nice to do as well. I hope you have a wonderful week too - Merry Christmas and a Happy 2025 to you too 🥳🎉
@ you didn’t mess up i promise, i messed up on the first floor lol. Your video is actually my first ever build at a settlement, so thank you. I’m using the platform outside for crops because I didn’t know where else to put that part, the second floor is being used for beds / a hang out spot, don’t know that I’m doing with the first floor yet. I also had enough materials to do this build lol.
@Garcia1689 You're welcome! Glad that you are happy with how it turned out. Originally, I pictured the first floor as a workshop. I had it without doors and all of workbenches inside this area - but then I had more settlers than beds - so that idea was out. If you missed it, I also did a decorated no mods tour of the completed settlement. Might give you some ideas for your build. th-cam.com/video/VkmVmLwRNjI/w-d-xo.html
@ well that’s gonna have to be put on the waiting list for me love what you’ve done with the place lol. But yeah that’s gonna take some time for me gonna need more materials 🤣
@Garcia1689 LOL - I understand. I think my character that does the building didn't start building until level 60 or so. By then I had a nice stockpile of junk to use.
Thank you very much! 👏👍
You’re welcome! Hope you will give it a try!
Fantastic job 👌 such a brilliantly done and creative build
Thank you! Glad that you like it!
wow great looking but notice that fallout 4 has some craping building you have to make something nice with all the paid for DLC
Thank you! I totally agree with you! The base game doesn't give you that much to work with!
thats brilliant 😊🎉 now i have even more reason to build starlight manufacturing company 😂 tbh the factory bits tend to get ignored in every build i do... now tho, i can build the starlight apartments, factory and water farm! 😂 this is going to be fun! 😁🎉
Thanks! Hope you give it a try! I always found that starlight is difficult to build at because it is a big, open parking lot. The factory takes up a lot of the open space. Sounds like you have a a lot of building to do - have fun !!😃
general, your fired! cryingcube is now our settlement builder... i wont mark it on your map! altho i will mark the employment agency in diamond city for you! 😂😂 now this gives me reason to fix up kingsport! i usually just clear the junk and block the doors! 😂😂
LOL - but wait - now I have to deal with Preston ??😱 Time to clear the junk and unblock the doors - Kingsport Lighthouse is ready for an upgrade! P.S. Thanks for your comment - it really made me laugh🤣🤣
Sorry I’m late. Another great well thought out build. If you’re looking for a side job or new location Home Plate is killing me. Looking for cool ides for player home. Keep up the great videos. ❤
Thank you and no worries - not too late at all. I always appreciate comments and feedback. Home plate has crossed my mind but it is so difficult because so many of the build items aren't available for this location. It is on my list but I need to put more thought to this location to come up with something creative.
Hi, can you please show us your product where you've placed everything inside the apartments
Sure - I did a full tour of the Starlight Drive-in. The decorated tour of inside of the apartments can be found starting at 17:31. Here is link to the video: th-cam.com/video/aDzeIShlaqQ/w-d-xo.html In the future, I might put together a video that is just a tour of the Starlight Apartments to make it easier to find.
o m g! 😱😵💫 that is awesome! i think thats my next project! 😂 ive always wondered how to do that and tbh never tried as i thought it wouldnt work... im glad you proved me wrong! you could have added a floor above the roof and all round for security (although that would ruin the feel i think!) either way, excellent! 😁 also im now a fan of scaffolding as i rarely ever use it!
Thank you! I hope that you will give it a try! I really like your idea of adding another floor - not sure if there is a way to line it up with the balcony on top but that would make an excellent security post! Glad that the video has inspired you for your Starlight build ☺️
Damn, this looks amazing!, I have been working on Starlight and this is exactly what I was looking to do!!
Thanks! Glad it inspired you on your Starlight build!
Thanks for the vid, I will definitely use your method. ❤
You’re welcome😊 Hope it helps you on your Coastal Cottage build!
A master class in building, so cool, thanks. Yup I’m gonna copy.😊
Thank you! I hope that you will give it a try!
OK, this channel already became my favourite! You're the best! Very creative.
Thank you! I really appreciate your comments and support ☺️
Wow. What a wonderful idea to build on the backside. I never thought of it. Congrats. I was able to replicate your method to the letter, except for a few aesthetic changes to customize my new apartments. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you! It took me countless failures trying to do something similar on the other side before I got the idea to build on the back side. I'm glad that you gave it a try and happy that you customized it to your liking. One tip that I discovered after I built this - if you used the scaffolding stairs and your settlers won't use them - swap them out for the long shack stairs (the one without the platform attached). They should use those stairs.
This is awesome, great channel and vid!
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback!
Wow. Rug-glitched roofs I assume. It reminds me that I wish they had included an inside-corner roof part.
This one is one of my old modded builds that I made into a blueprint that can be transferred into the settlement (on PC only). Primarily it was built using the Place Everywhere mod. To make the roofs, I used Place Everywhere to enlarge the Barn roof tiles and trim pieces 200X. Place Everywhere then allows you to place them literally anywhere you want (no collision problems!) and it also allows you to precision move the objects so that I could line up the tiles pretty well on the houses. I could also use it to easily place walls and windows on the houses (I think I had to custom enlarge or shrink the warehouse greenhouse windows). Another mod that I had that was extremely helpful was Workshop Plus that (among other things) allows you to fly around while you are building. With this, I could build from above the houses and used this to place and line up the roofs.
Very nice. I play on the PC, so I used console commands to "setangle z" the concrete floors to 9, 72, and 144 degrees.
Thanks! Good idea - that is much easier! For the videos, I try to find a way to that everyone (on PC, Xbox or PlayStation) can build.
Nice! Im terrible building things but this video helped me a lot
Thank you! Good to hear - hope you will give it a try!
Oh dear god, thank you. I hate trying to patch this location and the Visitor's Center. Echo Lake Lumber looks like it would be rough, but its easier than these two. I often end up just building a new structure near the pier and calling the house a loss. Again, thanks. I make things hard on myself by playing on survival & doing settlement building. No fast travel or quick saves, so I usually have to drop a bed nearby and use that to correct mistakes. It isn't that I'm a masochist who enjoys doing it the hard way. That's just the setting which is most enjoyable for me to play.
You’re welcome and thank you for your comment. Glad that this gives you ideas for this settlement. Since you are playing on survival mode - if you do try this build - make sure that you block off the gap between the floor and the open roof on the third floor (in the video at 7:07). If you fall through, you will be stuck inside the rafters and would have to load a previous save. I fell through a few times when I was putting this build together and found that there wasn’t a way to get out.
@@cryingcube2 Thanks for the heads up. I've been Bethesda'd to death a few times, stuck between rocks in the Glowing Sea or Far Harbor, or slammed into a Pick-R-Up truck with enough force to zero out the health bar. Its frustrating & rage-quit inducing the first few times, but you learn to laugh it off as the price of admission.
@@cryingcube2 I'll add one thing in case someone reads this who also builds in survival mode. Save two pieces of acrobat legwear & slap ultra-light mods on them so you can fall without damage or build in power armor. A jetpack attachment helps.
You're welcome. That is very frustrating - but good to hear that you have somehow figured out how to put a positive spin on it!
Thanks also for posting survival tips for preventing fall damage - Acrobat armor is a good idea for me in any mode since I seem to fall off of virtually everything!
Glad I got recommended this video, definitely some good information and inspiration
@@ThatColoradoKid Thank you! Hope you can use a few ideas in your next build!

Barn floor are a mod play vanilla game has none of this stuff
The barn floors are from the Far Harbor DLC. I listed the DLCs that I used in the description but overlooked stating it in the video. Sorry for the confusion.
