The Blues beat the Crusaders for the first time in 2 years, not 10, it was their first win over the Crusaders at home in 10 years.

Really interesting point about the force angles of the second row players and how there are two units of 3 working together - 1 second row per pod - as opposed to usual thinking that second rows work closely with each other.

I'm an ABs fan, but, MANNN do I miss those days. Surely, The Wallabies luck will turn around under Schmidt. I'm looking forward to some epic Bledisloe encounters between Schmidt and Razor in the years to come. Fingers crossed 🤞

The 1984 wallabies had the best backline through the 80s with Mark Ella steering the ship and they utilised a flat attack. Rules have changed but the fundamentals remain the same. Puzzled kiwi

I remember watching him play for Gordon in the Sydney comp. And he was just so focussed and intense. It didn't matter if he was playing for Australia, The Brumbies or at club level. He always gave everything. Even watching at club level when he started you just knew he was going to play for his country.

Those were great world class wallabies. Was fortunate to see some of those players in tour NZ. Rugby was alot more entertaining and a spectator sport then. Professionalism has not improved the game.

I loved these days but would take for granted these victories. Eddie Jones was the last good coach Australian rugby had. (He went on to coach a world cup winning team for Southafrica yet the powers that be here thought letting him go was a smart idea). We then had Robbie Deans come in with no idea of our particular rugby culture & he tried to turn the play style into a traditional european way. Wtf was that moron thinking. South of the equator rugby was and forever should be broken play & open, creative, assault-style rugby, not trench warfare bs in the forwards. Boring as fk. Deans ruined it, Mackenzie tried to clean up the mess. Now we have alot of talent but no gel. Hate to sound like a fleeting fan, but I'll come back to the game when Australia has a solid coaching unit.

I think the fact he was quick with a straight back and head up. Could see everything going on in front of him which meant he had that extra second or two to decide what to do. A joy to behold in full flight

Best Aussie forward ever, and best 7 ever, even better than Mccaw IMO. The first o.g jackler at the breakdown. He was outrageously smart and epitomised the Wallaby ‘terrier’ attitude of late 90s/ early 00s. They don’t make them like this anymore
