Learn how to make a replica of Queen Marys Crown as worn by Queen Camilla at her husband King Charles III coronation, using EVA foam.

EVA foam is lightweight, durable and super comfortable to wear. You can even use foam mats from the hardware/camping store, which are cheap and easy to find.
Make the crown as fancy or simple as you wish. For the large gems why not try making your own from coloured resin. There is a Gem Layout included to guide you on what goes where. Use lots of rhinestones, gems or even crystals to cover the crown. This one is intended to sparkle!
The crown can easily be adjusted to fit any size head.

This short video shows how I made a solid ball using only EVA foam mats. EVA foam mats or sheets were better for this project than Foam Clay, as foam clay takes a long time to cure and can be more difficult to get a smooth and shiny finish.

OMG WOW THIS IS INCREDIBLE! Well done! How long did this take you? How much approx did it cost? Do you make and sell these to Australia? This also would be a lot lighter than the aluminium or gold hahaha. I’ve seen the myth buster guy make the St Edward’s Crown from Titanium (2nd time) and wow so much complexity!

Where can you buy the EVA foam at a reasonable price?
Foe crowns you can simply use the cheap interlocking mats that usually come in a pack of 4, used as gym, garage or camping flooring. Try your local hardware store, camping store or general store. In the US Target (US) sells 5mm EVA foams sheets. Amazon is a good place to find 5mm EVA foam, choose the non-adhesive foam. It will depend on which country you are in.
Estimated cost?
That depends on your location and ease of access to materials. Here in Australia, foam mats are very cheap, stick on diamonds are easy to find and very cheap too. I already have velvet from other projects. Glue you can save money and use EVA safe shoe glue. Mine cost me a little over $40 AUS to make

Quelle épaisseur de mousse EVA utilisez-vous ?
Salut @ROYALDIY, j'utilise habituellement de la mousse jusqu'à 10 mm d'épaisseur. Les tapis en mousse bon marché ont une épaisseur de 10 mm. Ils fonctionnent très bien lorsque la couronne est complètement recouverte. Pour la couronne Queen Camillas, j'ai utilisé une mousse haute densité de 8 mm (les détails techniques sont ; dureté Shore de 55*, haute densité - 180 kg/m3). Cette mousse est suffisamment ferme pour que les arches ne s'effondrent pas.
