NIGERIA ON TRACK! How Many Metro Rail Lines Are Functional?
Nothing else should be used as yardstick if not population density, landmass and industries. My top 5 include, Lagos, Ogun, Kano, Delta, Ibadan.
I'm a fan of rankings. No matter the criteria, some people are going to object to the choices. However, my addition to this would be a to use a more concise definition for what classifies as "most developed city" Infrastructure development as you included is good and is a sufficient criteria to rank the development of cities. It can be broadened by looking at the quality of roads, markets, business districts, housing, sanitation & transportation network. Cost of living and Eco friendliness could be criteria for a separate list. In regards to the choice of cities. You touched on the major ones, though I disagree with some of the positions. The most glaring is position of Warri, a city that has seen severe infrastructure degradation over the years compared to others. The omission of Benin city, the city with the highest amount of closed drainage outside of Abuja. Even Lekki & VI in Lagos still have open gutters. All in all, it's a good list and a good discussion starter. Thanks for making this list and all your video postings.
Why do u say "growt" instead of "growth"!?
Enugu should be no 5 not 10 okay
Uyo and Abuja looks like my kind of places. Keep it up! Africa is re-emerging again! The African Renaissance is here! ❤
Good job my bro...
See Ozed, I go advice make you travel round these 10 cities and come back again and give ur opinion about them. I was born in Warri, my father's house is still there, I had my primary & secondary education right there in Warri. From there, I moved to Benin City where I had my University education in UNIBEN. Upon graduation, I served in Ibadan, Oyo State. I also stayed in Lagos & in Abuja at some point while looking for white collar jobs. I once lived in Ojuore, close to Ota in Ogun State. I have lived in Port-Harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, and Yenagoa. For your information, I am from Anambra state in Southeast, so I do frequent my hometown in Anambra as well as other southeastern states like Onitsha, Enugu, Aba, and Owerri. Based on my experience from travelling across so many towns and cities in Nigeria, I can tell u for free that this your list is not in line with the reality of most beautiful cities in Nigeria. You placed Enugu in 10 position while you placed Warri ahead of Enugu. This comes like a shock to me that still visits Warri till 2moro bcos some of my siblings are based in Warri. also, you placed Ibadan in sixth position. Come on, is it tribalism that is bring this up. No be d Ibadan wey we know? Abi is there any other Ibadan from the one that we all know? I bet you have NEVER heard of the city called Owerri, that's why u omitted the city. abeg try travel and stop this sentimental guess work that you just did. Like I said earlier your list does not reflect the reality of most beautiful cities in Nigeria. It is just another tribal sentimental list from someone that feels like his cities should be up there. That's my take of ur list.
Thank you for the feedback your points are all valid 💯% we'll certainly travel more 2025 sincerely the primary purpose of this video is to push Nigeria out there Not really about the cities but nevertheless I understand But I'm actually from owerri, grow up in Onitsha and ondo state then uni in abraka and I be waka waka too 😂 Thanks for the feedback Brother I appreciate you 100❤❤❤
Ajala mr travel, only you don waka all over Nigeria 😂 waka waka man! You’re lamenting because he placed some states ahead of SE states? Why are you guys like this, you can’t expect to be good in everything 😂all this your beer parlor comment no catch me 😂you’re a joker, you want to compare Owerri that has 104km square miles land mass to Ibadan that has 3080km square miles! Oga accept the fact, even Ibadan is supposed to be at number 3, ask your WhatsApp meta Ai to list top 10 most developed city in Nigeria for u.😂 Tribalism won’t allow u to accept the fact! Ibadan that’s as bigger as Whole of Anambra state, you want to use it to compare only Owerri! Beer parlor man 😂
Only Lagos Abuja porthacourt are ahead of Ibadan.
@@opeyemiburaimoh4725 you’re minding him?😂😂he’s just probably pained because SW states are ahead of SE states, even the list isn’t correct because no way Uyo is more developed than Ibadan but still it’s fine sha, im just wondering why he’s so angry and had to write all that comments, his comments smacks of jealousy and tribalism 😂😂. If you add the whole landmass of all SE state capitals together, it’s still not up to Ibadan landmass 😂😂 Mumu probably only stay at Beere, Oje during his stays in Ibadan, he should have explored the other part of the city😂. In a fair comparison, Ibadan is supposed to be at least number 3 or 4. Don’t mind the mugu 😂😂
Did I hear u say eco friendly environment as a yardstick?
Bruhh please am begging you I subscribed to your channel

Please lets start by fixing the already broken but barely opened for 2 minutes Red line, extending the Blue line as originally intended and get started on the much needed Green line before bouncing to this one...geez.
Red line is using old trains from the UK, proper operation will commence in 2025 when the new rolling stocks from China like those one the blue line arrives
Waiting for when the project hits Ogun and Edo-proper.
WHAT ABOUT CLEAN WATER AND ELECTRICITY?😢😮😮😮😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅.
Go and demand that from your SadEast governors...Lagos owes you nothing. Werey.
Wetin concern you. Are you from Lagos ?
Always osu people
😂😂😂@@toyou2635
Please please make it like the blue line, elevated and more affordable high rise infrastructure for middle class.
So Nigeria couldn't do these by itself, it took China to build these for them. What a shame.
No brain how many u av build urself shallow brain
THE UK INVITES CHINA TO BUILD THEIR NEW ICE TRAINS AND TRACK FOR THEM AFTER MANY FAILED TRIES
I pity the way you reason. China Construction Conglomerate are contracted like any other contractors to handle the project because they have the expertise and experience in rail lines construction. CCC are also doing the same some East African countries. Lagos state is the pay master. Hope you have learned something.
What will happen to Lagos with climate change? Lagos is built on a sand bar. I looked for real soil in Lagos city and only found sand. The Lekki Conservation center is a swamp.
Ignorance so lekki is lagos..
There no climate change in Africa. We are not cloud seeding and messing up it our weather.
Why is the animation only showing white people?
Government will make more money from this purple line because of population that goes to redemption camp
Shamelessness, If this is where this country is at this age and time, When countries around the world are doing greater things in technological advancements and life transforming projects, you can't imagine state government, Lagos State". Showing off on a road that ought to have been done by local government authorities... May God help this country, people are hungry, this is too much.
Absolutely fantastic
Good job Lagos government. This is what Kano state governor should come and learn from
Well done the Governor of the Sate
Keep up the great works 💯💯💯💯💯💪💪💪💪❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉. Lagos is improving, infrastructurally
sure sir
Lagos shouldn't be having double lane roads now. They should be having 12lanes
All internal community cities need to have paved roads. That’s one thing I will give the Americans, no matter how bad the area is, the roads are mostly paved. I have been to slums in the US, but the roads are paved. Lagos needs to take the same approach. It shouldn’t just be the IKOYI, LEKKI, AJAH, VI…etc..even the inner places in orile, aguda, surulere, mushin, mile 2, alaba, ikeja, okoko..etc need to have paved roads.
You make a good point about the importance of paved roads in all communities.
Well done...I have bought you $10 coffee
@aa-cw8ky thank you so so much 🙏 I appreciate this alot God bless you
Wowo like hell
River, delta awkaibom is lagging behind on they brag is I have oil I have oil very primitive people our people has become laughing stuff
That's the way to go.Get the private sector guys into it.
That's not the way to do it. The private sector will make it expensive. Transport, electricity, and the Internet should be state owned under strict control and policies like the death penalty for corruption. It is more effective and beneficial to the citizens than private owned. Look at China. Most of their things are state owned. Today, china is a better story, unlike in the 70s
Lagos doing some good work. Hope other cites take note.
Impressive!
This is great progress.. BUT...... Massive projects but cant address consistent electricity in the state (Im here and all I hear and smell are generators)... "Massive Projects" but cant address proper drainage and issue with open sewers in the state... do the small things first before embarking on the bigger stuff (bigger items need the small items for said big items to even work correctly)
It's good what Lagos state is doing, but I don't know what other states are doing what exactly are the agenda of other state government, some governors are not even heard of they are just there collecting allocation every month and embezzling it
Dance to davido's songs and travel to Abuja for monthly allocation
You forgot that Lagos has more source of revenue than any other state. If Lagos was a country, it would be the 5th largest economy in Africa.
There is probably more going on in Lagos than Arewa as a whole.
Lagos leads whilst the other states slow to follow. Well done to governor Sowoolu and his teams. Eko o ni baje o

Them Lagos state Govt should go to Ikotun/Ejigbo/Jakaunde Gate and around these areas mentioned above .the roads are really bad
true the roads are in bad shape
Imagining d amount of houses d 4th main bridge 🌉 will take off 😢 No futuristic plan right from the beginning now resulting to impossibility.
That is a very valid point.
@Justozed land and survey agencies or ministries in Lagos State are nonsense and useless. Many of them lacks futuristic goals and integrity.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
Lag govt tried....but they should be gone a bit further to make it a dual cartridge road.
@@oparahugochukwu6548 exactly my thought
@Justozed dual carriage way I meant to say
If they demolished your house to build, you will be the 1st to come. Let appreciate the community bridge not an highway
@@olusojifabuda2143 if govt should embark on road expansion,I don't think anyone in his right senses would try to run the govt down.... it's only when such is done with some sinister objectives so to speak.
👍
This is something that local governments should solve, but their funding isn't connected to the quality of their communities, so they don't care about them. It should never get to a point where the state government has to intervene, but these are the consequences of a top-down financing structure.
Massive improvement in infrastructure
