Just Bought a PS5? Be Careful of These 5 Overrated Games

This is a video listing 5 native PS5 games I consider to be extremely overrated. I purchased most of these because at least one reviewer I trust recommended them, and was very disappointed. I hope everyone who buys these games enjoys them, but for the sake of possibly saving someone from making my same mistake, I made this video! Thanks for watching.

Is Last of Us Part II Better Than Uncharted 4?

This is my comparison between The Last of Us Part II and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. In this video, I'll explain why the gameplay differences between the two games make, in my opinion, The Last of Us Part II better than Uncharted 4. If you like the video, subscribe for more! Uncharted's gameplay wasn't the best by any means. It was serviceable without any meaningful bugs to deter the experience. But what made it a big franchise was its presentation that came close to making you feel like you're starring in a movie as opposed to watching a movie with gameplay in between (which is more or less Kojima's tendency). Without the story elements and the characters' banter, then the gamer is left with a game with generic cover-based gameplay. Uncharted 3 felt like a letdown because the story was lacking. The progression sometimes made no sense plotwise, with some levels acting like fillers (e.g. the Graveyard sequence chasing Sully only to find out he wasn't in the cruise ship and when it sinks, you get conveniently washed to the very shore where the bad guys are at). These were levels with huge difficulty spikes, mostly because of the smaller environments cramped with so many enemies spawning from all directions. So much effort with no payoff because the whole set-piece did nothing to advance the story once you think of it in hindsight (the same for the dream sequence also after drinking the tainted water). By the end of the game, it felt like a relief that the slog was over unlike the previous entry where it felt like a satisfying conclusion to an adventure.
The comparison to Whiplash is apt. You dont become a master of your craft. You become the slave and cuck to the ego of a narcissist.
This game litteraly fucked my life. Im only playing this game instead of enjoying my life because im too adicted to do anything else.
Awesome video , echoes my experience and feelings exactly , what laden ring changed everything and after ignoring souls games for years cos I could not handle the grind, I can’t play any other games now, this was a great breakdown of the psychology behind it all
I need more videos like these! Do you know similar channels that produce something with this depth?
the fact this channel only has 3000 subs makes me sad, you deserve way more
You had to get good dude! 23:00 u fucking love it!
Almost finished with Elden Ring DLC. I think I'll go back an play this one next. Really enjoyed this video!
Great video, I fully understand your explanation and mentality. I am 35 years old and for me the first video games date back to the late 90s and then stopped after about ten years towards the end of the 2000s. I started playing again after the pandemic, Elden ring was my first soulslike, after which I completed Sekiro and at the moment I'm playing dark soul 3. I have to say that the love that Fromsoftware has found depends exactly on what you said, there are no easy roads when there are difficult tasks ahead, the only thing to to do is to concentrate and commit, and that is what these masterpieces have given us, perhaps something that was being lost in recent years, to conclude, long live fromsoftware and Miyazaki, may they give us more masterpieces.
for a moment i lowkey forgot i was watching a video about dark souls 3 but still a great video my man
Idk who you are but dude this is a banger video. Described my same experience with the souls genre; except, I started with Sekiro lol. I never realized what an impact the souls genre had on my life until you spelled it out. Blew my mind. I'm a few hours in DS3 and is emblematic of the fromsoftware experience.
Did I understand correctly, you platinumed Elden Ring around 65h mark??
I just did the ezio trilogy and tried to do assassins creed 3 and the mechanical changes just made it much less fun for me and im not sure if im going to bother to finish it
Mid ass game with 0 soul
I Have batter questions what the fuck is up whit Talbot bro have from his ass super natural power like vsnising in seryia. WTF TALBOT WTF and yes U3 files odd like he is not complete gsme this arc on ships whit pirate filse like filler arc from naruto shhipuden type shit . And super mistical enemis in u3 files the wrong from me like dzins or evils souls really this is not DS Xd . Great vid, your passion comes through to the viewer
Dude I'm not kidding, show this script to a college English Professor.
king yapper fr. half through the video and he said dark souls 3 1 item briefly in passing xd
I remember I loved U3 back when it came out, mainly because of multiplayer. I just played the 3 remastered games back to back again and my god 3 really was worse than I remembered. The combat and hitbox thing you mentioned was really disturbing and annoying. The way Nate moves is also weird compared to 2, sometimes it feels slow, others way too quick. Completing 3 felt like a chore sometimes, the others felt like a proper game even If some bits were way harder and somewhat unfair to play on crushing, they were still more enjoyable.
No uncharted 3 is amazing not as good as 2 but still a great game
Great video. Final thought hit differently. Just yesterday I was downloaded MW3 on PS5 and realised I’d spent £380 on packs plus game and season passes. All the best with your channel.
nice backing track
Where's the Sekiro plat?
26:04 mine was lady butterfly from Sekiro. I sh*t you not that is the only boss that took more than 20 attempts and I’ve played every from soft game
I’ve beaten demon soul , sekiro , lie of P in the past month and I just got DS3 and Nioh 2 . Looking forward to this experience
Well said.
My first souls game was DS3 and I played the entire game with my online friends so I didn’t get much of a challenge, akin to your ER playthrough. I did gradually get better as I did more bosses on my own in NG+ but I never had an overwhelming challenge like you did. That was until I played Bloodborne. I had pretty much beat the entire game without much fuss (I was a bit overleveled) but when I got the DLC’s first boss, Lugwig, I finally had my moment. I probably died over 30 times in a span of 2 days, but I loved it. It’s also a good thing that it has the absolute best soundtrack of all of Fromsofts bosses (imo). My girlfriend still remembers watching me struggle to beat that boss over 3 years later. Funny thing is, the supposed hardest boss of bloodborne, Orphan of Kos, I defeated in 2 attempts. I guess that experience really made me “git gud.” Loved the video btw
MW2 Campaign Remastered is one of the best COD trophy lists. No random multiplayer junk nor campaign stuff that requires grinding.
Hogwarts legacy really get lost kid like amelia Earhart lost 🖕
@23:33 Go off king 😂😂😂😂
The amount of people in this comment section that just completely missed the entire point of the video 💀
holy shit i havnt slept in a long time this video was mesmerising i need to continue ds3
Whats the name of the song in the background? :)
I’m 12 minutes into this video and haven’t heard a fucking word about dark souls 3
It's definitely not my favorite Uncharted. But I still enjoyed it in spite of its flaws. Uncharted is one of those series that you can play and still enjoy if you don't think too much. Swashbuckling adventures are meant to be that way.
when is he gonna strat talking bout dark souls
I spent almost a month of daily 2 hour sessions fighting against gael, for some reason, I just couldn't surpass his third phase. in the end I was completing first phase hitless, and the second one while getting hit maybe once or twice. The extasy I felt when I finally beat him was unparalled.
If i had to chose from your categories mine would be: Batman arkham city The last of us 1 Resident evil 4 Doom eternal It takes two Super mario odyssey or psychonauts 2 Bayonetta 2 The legend of zelda: majora's mask
Your perspective on gaming is pretty close to mine based on this list except your favorites and what you consider close to perfection is the same if I'm understanding that correctly. I'm a bit confused on picking Dark Souls 3 in terms of perfection though. Are you basing that off design or the experience only? Perhaps you see something I don't because the level design in Dark Souls 3 is the weakest in my opinion compared to the From Software line-up which are extremely memorable to me. Sure, Elden Ring has some empty areas however it's an open world and you can't complement every inch with activity. I do think you're basing most of your list off from experience due to some of these games not offering much replay value like Astro-Bot and Uncharted. Yeah, they're an absolute blast to experience but there isn't much to change it for more gameplay value. I'll just wait to see what you have to say before I put down too many assumptions.
Astro bot is literally the best game on this list. It’s the best game PlayStation has, hands down. ✊
Great video
I agree with a lot of what’s presented here. One of the things that Elden Ring lost from Dark Souls is that Elden ring is so free and open that the game does not form a new you like Dark Souls does. Dark souls gives you an obstacle and challenges you to overcome it with what’s available. Elden ring does the same thing, but Elden ring doesn’t limit what’s available to you, thereby not forcing you to be formed by the game but rather allowing you, the player, to form your own experience of the game around yourself. It’s what Miyazaki ultimately wanted but alas, I lament what we’ve lost
Uncharted 2 aged like fine wine....so good!
i have over 30 years of experience as a gamer, i've played everything from rts, rpgs, racing, fps, 2d, you name it. dark souls 3 is one of the best games i have ever played. it really is a masterpiece.
very mainstream approach
You really don’t make sense at all when you compare elden ring and dark souls because you missed the point of elden rings mechanics entirely. Btw you can cheese the nameless king 😂 so enough sucking off DS3 yeah it’s great
Why are so many e.r. players struggling with ds3? I platinummed it, but for the life of me, elden ring is kicking my ass😢
How do you platinum this game in 65 hours?
seems like a heavy guide player
Now what if i told you bloodborne is that and more
I started with DS3 been souls fan ever since
