Thanks x
Hi Jay thanks for another great video mate 👍cheers Glenn
Yer welcome m8 🤘
I really enjoyed this video. We're in Stocksbridge now but I grew up in what they call low Wincobank so have fond memories of the area. The Roman Ridge is located in high Wincobank. It used to be rough ground covered with wildflowers with a Roman road running up to the ridge. Now it's all industrial units down at low Wincobank. It's been made nice up at the top where you've been though. I'm elderly and when we looked down over the east end, toward Meadowhall, it was all covered with smog from the steelworks. Thank you.
I live in Deepcar but originaly from Barnsley, thanks for telling me about Wincobank, lovely to here about peoples local area, thanks for commenting 🤘
Wonderful walk..we did it in several sections, loved it all...well done lads.
Enjoyed that Jay, great to see you out trekking again. All the best for 2025 👍
Thank you, was nice to be out, same to you m8, all the best 🤘
Well done lads. It's a tough old trek. I did it with a much lighter pack than you guys. It's definitely a massive sense of achievement when you finish a trail. Hope you get to do something as good in the future. ATB PHILL
Any further parts?
No just the 2 👍
Remember watching this first time
I shared this walk with a couple of fellow TH-camrs - Darren from Adventureme and Martin Zero. Darren was glad I did. He's from West Yorkshire and wasn't aware of the Wortley railway path you took. Martin's from Manchester and might need a translator. I suggested subtitles, LOL. Happy new years to you and yours.
😂
Umm, why the three yearr wait for part one?
Cus this was on facebook and didnt know how to convert it to TH-cam lol

Hi Jay and Phil enjoyed coming with you on another enjoyable trek, it's another 👍from me
Thanks Glenn 🤘
Great video nice to see Phil back x
I did enjoy the video. It took me back 50 years as we moved away when I was 11 years old. I also went to both the infant and junior schools. I remember the chimney very well although we knew that site as Elliot’s scrap yard; the site of many imaginative play days. I recently found a video on TH-cam of the 1969 Deepcar village garden fete held at St John’s. Lo and behold there’s my mum and me walking next to the young girl being crowned village queen (something like that). My uncle Bob (Lewin) used to manage Lowood club for a time I believe. Anyway, a nice trip down memory lane thanks.
Thanks for your comments, your verry welcome
