Yes, I noted that on text on the screen if you were only listening. But I fix it around 17 minutes in. Luckily, it didn't affect any gameplay.

The family did lose this game even with the cards' free actions. But then, remembering to use the cards reaction effects when I can isn't something I'm good at.

I don't have the original to compare, but another video said the map was the same size but had reduced the flourish around the edges to make the board a little bit smaller. All I know for sure is the board is plenty big for me.

@@JasonSetley Some tiles are are cut somewhat off, the rulebook, storybook, and some cards. I unbox it at 15:30.

Yeah, some trap in that room I guess; although I can't imagine putting an active bear trap in your home.

I know what you mean, but there is some stuff that's definitely a positive. I've only played a couple of quests so far, so I'm no expert, so take what I have to say as a quite uninformed opinion. More Bestiary cards is always a good thing. They're not adding more gameplay content since all the creatures were already in the bestiaries. But they make it easier to play with those creatures. I hope someday everything in the bestiaries is represented by a card. If you're playing this a lot, more quests is always a good thing, but the amount of people who've played entirely through the previously available quests is probably pretty low, since there's a lot of quests. Also if you're playing a lot, more adventure cards is good, since repeating the same ones over and over could get repetitive. I don't think I'd care as much for all the new items except maybe for more magical items with crazy effects, since the core doesn't have all that many.

Yeah, you're right; however, had we noticed, the yellow girl would have included the backpack in the swap, giving the same outcome. Worse is that I forget to place an X token on the search space in the barn, and it gets searched two turns in a row. Apart from those and what's pointed out in the video, what else is wrong?

I'm not an expert on this stuff, but the cards seem to be of the same quality of most of these games that have a lot of cards. Not the best, but OK if a little thin. Cardboard seems fine to me, but I wouldn't know the difference between good and bad cardboard. The Village and Dungeon UI boards are a thin cardboard/paper. I only played Dragon's Lair a few times and was terrible at it.

I should mention that this expansion has a few more special rules than most other expansions. It is also really tough, I've done it three times and lost each time. Hans at Camp Happy Trails is often considered the beginning expansion as it has no special rules; although it is still tough, they all are. There's an Alien inspired expansion that I found the easiest as there are alternate ways to dispatch the killer; although it also has a lot of special rules.

CMON released a FAQ a few months ago that says the train noise token goes in the cabin of the train. I was never sure where to put in until then.

No, you just leave the tokens alone.

The enraged token is used when you find the items you need to leave, the keys and a certain number of gasoline tokens depending on how many characters are playing. It is used the same way a Leatherface token is used when a character pulls three Leatherface tokens from the bag in one turn. The token goes on the Leatherface track on the Slaughter Family card which increases how many spaces Leatherface moves or how much damage he does.

She just walks into my home looking for stuff to take. And when I try to give her a little wallop to get her out before my crazy brothers get home and want to kill her, she jams a machete in my face. And it was my machete even. She even wanted to kill my Grandpa that can't even move.

The game does seem too easy if you're an experienced gamer. My first game, learning it, was with two friends who don't play board games. It was the closest and most fun game I had with it. I want to try it again with a bunch of objectives per character, but haven't had a chance. I like that the mechanics of the game are different than the normal kind of game today (at least the ones I play). My biggest problem with the game is it adds a bunch of mechanics that are meant to add more of the theme of TCM (truck, hitchhiker, cook, even searching), but they don't really do much other than add more rules. Currently, I feel like the most nail biting moment in the game is in the beginning, trying to get through the brambles without taking damage.

That is how we played it; although, I kept having to remind Roxanne to take the noise tokens, so it's possible a few were missed. Interestingly, I believe that searching causing a noise token is not in the rulebook and only on the player cards.

@@OldManYellingAtCardboard I believe it does say searching take a noise?, but it was a great game played 👏🏻 and I find it hard as well to get Leatherface out but when you do he's awesome!!!! I play family side with my lady and she plays trespassers and always gets away 😂😆 we've also had to play it a couple times after catching us slipping on a rule or two! Lol but it's definitely my number 1 board game at the moment and watching everyone try to learn the rules as well is fun!!!!

I did order the other TCM game can't wait to get it I got it to get my fix with the solo mode that it offers being if my woman doesn't feel up to playing I can always solo 😜 but I have tried to play a solo game with this version and it works but it's a lot to do and try not to favor a side lol also in this one it seems like more sense to hide the items so family doesn't know if or when you have the car ready!! But like I said it still works if you make a house rule or two.. like knowing they have cars ready I have to roll a success just to pursue a chase.

I've played twice and not got Leatherface out. The tough part for me as the Sawyer Family is quickly remembering when I can use the sawyer family cards before the moment is over and the game has moved on. It's even tougher when you're also teaching the rules.

@@OldManYellingAtCardboard I use those cards mostly to activate the red bar ability and I save up 12 fear to push past the two desperation slots ASAP lol and use them for the free move and hunt attack actions.

We did count those as actions. Roxanne just wasn't using the action tracker spaces on the player cards. We did not count the desperation card attack as an action though. But I believe that is correct and those are not counted as actions.

There are special rules to use if you're playing solo. If I remember right, it was you play using three characters. If anyone gets their fourth damage from Leatherface, you lose instead of that character going to the meathook with the chance of escaping. To offset that, any action tokens you pull from the bag can be assigned to any character, not just the one who's turn it is. I like the whole meathook mechanic, and I didn't want to lose that playing solo, so I didn't use the special solo rules.

@@fonimer Not sure what you mean by that. I wanted to play it with standard rules, no special solo mode rules, so I did. Like other co-op games, as you say.

@@fonimer It works fine. The game is a full co-op without any hidden information between players.

Well, if you want to play the official rules; remember, this playthrough is heavily house ruled. I found it too easy otherwise.

Everything else isn't really necessary. If I were you, the only thing I'd consider is the Director's Cut box since it has a few new monsters and the advanced character boards. But since I haven't played it yet other than the tutorial, I'm not sure how much of those are fun.

I don't like KS exclusives in general.

I probably did a bad job of choosing weapons. I streamed a solo game that went better. I used the bikes and some expansions. I still have to edit it for youtube though.

People know that zombies can't open doors, unlike survivors who apparently haven't figured that out. I want to do more Zombicide; the rest of the NOTLD missions, the three 2nd edition campaigns. But I want to get to the Resident Evil Campaign while it's new. And unfortunately, I have to get my day job caught up.

Oh wow, good to hear from you. Waiting for Dungeon Crusade got me to thinking about Dungeon! and is why I even decided to play it and make this video. You should know that when you provide links in youtube comments, youtube hides the comment, which is why I only discovered it now on my generic TH-cam Studio comment feed. I hope to do a playthough of Dungeon Crusade, but am overwhelmed at how I'm going to include everything on a little screen.

Thank you. They came in the core box with the KS edition. I figured they were probably in the retail as well since they were in the core box, but I guess not. The KS version had cardboard and plastic ones.

I just opened this up (been sitting for months) and read it through. Hope to play it soon. I think Zoe missed an opportunity to drop a gear and a few spaces in turn 1 with a driver action, to hit you and take out your green armor. Next turn/round, she could have used her other big weapon to do big damage again. Was fun to watch after just reading the rules, to see it play out. Looks like you spent a bit of time editing this, too. Thanks!

@@DanD20 We're both newbies to the game and probably made quite a few strategic errors; that was my 7th game I think, that was her 2nd.

What are the mistakes? Keep in mind the rulebook is particularly bad, so a lot is up for debate.
