Fianna Bán
Ireland
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 3 มิ.ย. 2023
A musical project born in the heart of Irish nature.
Inspired by Celt folklore, art and traditions.
Inspired by the many landscapes Ireland has to offer and the spirits within.
We strive to bring humanity back to its natural roots through music.
Tionscadal ceoil a rugadh i gcroílár nádúir Éireannaigh.
Spreagtha ag béaloideas Ceiltigh, ealaín agus traidisiúin.
Spreagtha ag go leor de na tírdhreacha atá ar fáil in Éirinn agus na spioraid laistigh.
Tá muid ar ár ndícheall ag iarraidh an cine daonna a thabhairt ar ais dá bhfréamhacha nádúrtha trí cheol.

To clear up people’s confusion about this band’s sound, Fíanna Bán (Irish for White deer) does not claim to be traditional Irish music. They take inspiration from multiple cultures across the northern hemisphere. The “Norse sound scape” they create is actually from the rhythm of Native American style frame drums and rattles. In contrast the indigenous frame drum of Ireland we are use to hearing in Irish traditional music is called a Bodhrán. There is no evidence throat singing was used by Celtic peoples and only one vague source it may have been used by Norse Vikings and is most common in Siberian and central Asain cultures. The flute they play is called a Feadóg or penny whistle in English and is an indigenous Celtic instrument to the British Isles. The flute Melodie’s are very traditional in style. The vocal style is obviously modern and very inspired by Wardruna but does have origin in European folk singing if you go back far enough. The language they are singing in is Irish Gaelic natively called Gaelige Na hÉireann which is their indigenous language and is of the Gaelic branch of Celtic languages. The music videos use imagery and clothing inspired by Irish mythology. This band has their own unique artistic sound and aesthetic. If you want to hear traditional Celtic music only using indigenous Brittonic Melodies and instruments my song Dawns Y Telwyth Teg is my cover of a traditional Welsh march using Bodhrán, tambourine, Feadóg (we call Chwiban in Welsh) and Welsh bagpipes all these instruments have been historically played by the Celts

What lanuage is this
Irish Gaelic.

This a ridiculous display of Celetis art and being. Shake your bottom somewhere else. Nature does not need you, it is independent.
Awesome! What a wonderful work! Greetings from Brazil ❤️🌳
Thank you so much 👏🏻🌀☘️🦌🎶
Subscribed instantly. Biggest regret was being such a dosser in school and learning nothing. Particularly, Gaelige.
Thank you so much 👏🏻☘️🌀🦌🎶 and it's never too late to learn something new ! Learning is one of the amazing things to do in life, and it should never stop ! Curiosity is one of the best qualities one can have 😊
I don't believe you were a dosser. the school was a dosser. Especially my Gaelge Teachers. No offence to Gaelge we all wish to speak to our creater in our own language as he speaks to us.
Very nice ! We believe Celtic and Slavic were one in the past, today they call it Proto-Indo-European, but we call it Our Ancestors. Migration Period is a LIE ! There are no written historical records of it, nor any archaeological finds. Even DNA research proves that people living throughout Europe are descendants of people who lived here thousands of years ago.
Diolch o'r galon am y chân hudol, sy'n creu teimlad hiraeth am y gorffenaf wedyn ❤

This sounds more viking than Celtic no offence, like Norse musik
good thing we never claimed to do either of those things then 😉🌀🦌☘️🎶
@@FiannaBanMusicA comment like this from a viewer is the problem with so much of TH-cam commentary: someone watches videos by bands like Heilung and they think they understand the history of a kind of music. You’re terrific in your own right.
Ah it's all good !! People like to shove artists into boxes ... Won't change what we do and the core intention behind it ... and to be fair, we much rather be compared to "viking music" than any pop radio shite 😄 thank you so much 👏🏻🌀☘️🎶🦌
Love that you are bringing our language to this genre whatever it is 😉
Haha thank you so much 👏🏻☘️🌀 yes we need to break the mold and stereotypes of Ireland a wee bit 😄
😊🔥🔵🔴🟣🔥😊

Are there still any trees left in Ireland or did you have to travel to the continent? : )
Everything was filmed in Ireland
There are trees oh yes
@@elineeugenie5224 cool, happy to hear that
I think have Ireland confused for Iceland 😂
I would consider myself a fluent Irish speaker, but I can't understand a single thing said here. Could just be my Ulster dialect, though.
We are taking creative liberties as well 😉☘️🌀🎶🦌
@FiannaBanMusic upon reading the comment with the lyrics, it makes perfect sense. Great song, yous are so talented!
Thank you so much 👏🏻🌀☘️🦌🎶
Where are the lyrics? Another Irish speaker who doesn't understand the words. Is it in an old dialect perhaps?
Lyrics have been added to the video description just for you 😉🌀🦌☘️🎶
The Druids are alive and well 😂
Great music. Thanks.
Thank you very much 👏🏻🌀☘️🎶🦌
I'm an Irish American, slowly trying to to learn Gaelic. Something close to " vision of the witch" or " the wild "I think. I tried, I know a little but not fluent
If you're talking about the song title, it means "the night wakes up" 😉☘️🌀
I think Robert is referring to the name of the band. Fianna Bán. It is bán not ban. Bán is white. Fianna could be translated as warriors maybe, or a group that is fighting for something. The Fianna are a part of Irish mythology. Btw. Fia is also a deer and fianna is also the plural of deer, but I don’t think that is intended here, but it is up to the artists themselves, rather than me 😂
White deer is indeed the intended meaning of the name, hence our logo 🦌though bána would be more accurate in plural but sounded too banana 😄) The white deer in druidic beliefs was a spiritual guide to the orherworld and the white stagg a protector of that in between 🌀☘️🦌🎶
I was completely off track so! I am a native speaker of Irish 😊 ‘An Fia Bán’ would be a clearer title for an Irish speaker but a name is a name and everyone will get their own meaning from it. All the best 😊
Na fianna bána if we want to be precise, but yeah it's a name, not a title
Scandinavians are shy people I'm thinking.
Not sure sbout the relevance with the video or music but sure 😄☘️🌀🎶🦌
@@FiannaBanMusic I can't understand the music yet... They could be talking about drinking my blood. I don't know. I'm only interested in the modern culture of my family tree. I was shy as a kid, but had to leave that behind. I realize they never have too. So far it's a game of peek a boo. The Lenape here in the states are just as shy.
I want to mix it up with the Norse.. yet there are so many barriers I'll need them to help me. Meet up in the steam room, to catch them off guard.. Cause that guard is held firm.
Ireland's answer to Heilung!
Thank you so much 👏🏻🌀☘️🎶🦌 be sure to help us spread the love 💚
@@FiannaBanMusic Can't wait to see ye play in Ireland!
We would love to play here and we're trying to find gigs ... but unsuccessfully so far ... ironic 😅
wow your song is very good Like Deloraine And Firemage Greetings from Indonesia, I am your fan ❤❤
Thank you so much 👏🏻☘️🌀🎶🦌 blessings from Ireland
@@FiannaBanMusic Hahahaha! Which Ireland would that be? The one where they speak French?
Well given the one replying live in co. Cork it's quite accurate 😉💚
@@FiannaBanMusic Accurate? So we can take it from that, you are Not Irish?
We never claimed to be. But living here long enough to want to help expand its culture, is that so bad? Now if you don't like it that's fine, but everything's been vetted by irish natives and done with the utmost respect. And definitely not a gimmick as we truley love this country, its people and its past. So we do this to honour it. Now if that's something that you can't stand and feel the need to throw in 20 comments insulting us, then we would highly suggest you get the sand out of your vagina and move on with your life. You'll feel much better letting people live their lives however they feel like as long as it doesn't impact you directly. Grá 😉💚
Can someone translate please 🥺
No.
Check the comments, someone did 😉 Our album is also available on all major streaming platforms (with the lyrics) 👏🏻🎶☘️🌀🦌
Great work. 👏🎉🔆
Thank you so much 👏🏻🌀☘️🎶🦌
What language is this in? I like it, but no idea what's being sung about.
Thank you 👏🏻☘️🌀🎶🦌 We sing in Irish and about nature. Our album is available on all major streaming platforms (and so are our lyrics 😉)
Sounds like some hare krishna song

I've been looking for the Irish equivalent to Wardruna for quite some time and I think I've found it!
Thank you so very much 👏🏻🌀🎶☘️🦌 that is such a big compliment ! Be sure to share our message 👏🏻💚 blessings from Ireland
@FiannaBanMusic Will do, and I can feel the blessings from all the way over here in Tipperary! 😉

The rise of the Gael will be in our time!!!! Suais leis a’ Gàidhlig gu bràth!
Good luck with that if you think this is Gaelic!
@ it’s Irish Gaelic… obviously not aware of the connection between Gaels in Scotland and the Gaels in Ireland… maybe because they’re the same people!
@@matlachlannmacgregor-macle8735 It is Neither. If they are not aware of a link, they are not honest? FRENCH not Gaelic, Why not support the Gaelic language in France? Breton could do with some help

Hmmm. Intresting. The inflection threw me off initially - the emphasis on unexpected syllables made me lose the meaning for a moment. However, this is very engaging and trancelike
Thank you very much 👏🏻☘️🌀🎶🦌 Yeah we're thinking very outside the box here 😄
Both parents are lrish, Scottish and Norse Ancestry.
I am from the land of Saints and Scholars. The people that brought Christianity to Europe. I will have none of this back to what you think is Paganism .
