Sailing Abroad
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ธ.ค. 2021
I decided to change my course of life. I got my boat S/V WindChime and are starting a full time sailing adventure. Follow me as I will begin travels of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean islands. I will document and share my crazy idea with really no plan while living on a tiny boat on the ocean traveling as I explore our world around us. I will focus on the Gulf of Mexico, Florida's coast and the whole island chain of the Bahamas.

Open the box look at what's all included and look at it from an engineering perspective and found out this is actually a very clever design and very effective for load-bearing stress points. #youtube #music #stpetersburgflorida #love #mantis #swivel #tampa #sailing #sailinglife

Hiding from Hurricane Milton. Full time LiveAboard Sailing.

Watch subscribe and like as I prepare and count the hours down to landfall. Hurricane Milton struck land as a category 3 hurricane just south of siesta Key Florida. A good friend of mine allowed me to sleep on his couch and wait for the storm to pass. After the storm we had no gasoline or electricity for several days. #youtube #sailinglife #beach #shortsfeed #hurricane #shortsvideo #sailing #sa...

I survived hurricane Helene in Clearwater FL. I'm currently displaced due to no electricity and I am unable to leave the mirena because of debris in the water. If you are new here don't forget to subscribe and like the video and leave a comment I will reply to all of them. Check out my links in the description of my channel. Beautiful
I so wish I was on that boat , I love the ocean
Nope I would be running because I don't want to die lol I am highly allergic to them. Hope you didn't get stung!
I got hit twice then I started running
@sailingabroad6528 dang it that had to suck I understand the running part. Lol
Have fun and stay safe
I hope you have everything you've ever wanted out of life and you enjoy sailing around the Caribbean. I will be watching every video! I hope you have all the winds and weather in your favor! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
What a great video - thank you!
@@shortbus I'm currently on my sailboat now getting ready to start cruising finally. Be sure to subscribe and check out my other videos.

Me gasté 500.000 en una puta de 10 años!😂😂😂😂
With no before reference image, that looks like a wonderful result from a predicted catastrophe!
hiding from hurricane Milton
Does not look like the same place. Glad you are safe and your boat made it.
If you are going to try to get ahold of me anymore I don't have any access to my old Facebook account and I can't get into messenger either so you can send me a texts
Hurricane over Mexican peninsula with 200mph winds.
This is crazy weather. All I can do is prepare for the worst. Hope for the best.
@@sailingabroad6528I'm sorry that you have to keep going through this
Beautiful
Love it when it pours! That would be so relaxing
I love it too when it rains I wasn't being like that bcuz of the rain it was the wind
Now this is 2 years ago, does it blow your mind that you were concerned about crossing that patch of water and not at all concerned about driving up that massive incline in the road at 60+mph with a lorry next to you. I know what would freak me out more! Also, nice beaches over there!
What blows my mind is I'm still sailing and doing boat projects and still going strong.
Loving these vids. I'm just going to watch them all in one go now. I've never seen the cradle your boat was in before. (I'm in the UK) is it common over there?
@@patchcaborn yes it's common but for motor boats not common for sailboats.
That drive looked horrendous. I'm looking forward to your adventures, the boat looks so cool, you must be very pleased with it
It was a tiring drive for sure.
That was crazy I thought you were going to fall off the boat. You're going to have to show me how to do that.
That wind sounds crazy. Look at the water it's crazy❤😂
Lolol 😂😂 I'm glad your engine works. I learned something new.
I love sea cows thanks for sharing
Looks like so much fun ❤🎉
Thank you for sharing this. I learned something from you today. Use the right tools.
Awesome job. You did excellent explaining what you were doing. I really appreciate you showing everyone that you need the right equipment and the right tools for the job.❤❤❤
Glad it was helpful!
Good explanation. As a newbie I had one occur on a lake that had intermittent winds and wind direction. It just all of a sudden shifted directions and put us into a jibe spin! Learned about jibes the hard way.
I'm glad you all made it safely. Thanks for watching and please subscribe and feel free to let me know what else you would like to see a video or explanation of.
This has helped me understand sooooooo much in just 1 video. Id love to see more. Having a physical boat in view helps me understand but ive not seen any without being a 2d image
@@adventurously_random I understand that. Thanks for watching and please subscribe. The Adventure is just beginning.
Yep I was done with the storm I was ready to run and hide
❤ Paradise
Thank you.
It's such a beautiful thing to see in person!❤❤
Ooo the red head 😏
Yep, it's like "I just bought the super rare red 72' Chevelle with the crager mags, not many around" then they go to the Chevy show where 30 are lol.
nice
Thanks
So I looked up the meaning of the yellow purple orange flag. Is it you or your partner that is non binary? I feel confused.
No idea what your talking about. Go back to school and study a little harder in geography.
It's a Columbian flag.
You'll get the main down just like I do bro, holding on with one hand while laying the main on the boom and letting loose the halyard with the other, lol. Then lashing her down.
Learned real quick I did. Got them down no problem.
That's the life in the channel bro, some slow and are courteous, some just kick up a wake. But those schmucks out on the open water are just idiots.
Oh they sound like they have been sleeping.........
Another useful tip is to only drink one bottle of vodka before making a YT video
I looked at the video one more time and I didn't see anything about what you mentioned.
Beautiful ❤
So beautiful ❤
Hey Buddy. I like the West Marine Zodiac. Strong little boats.
Mine is tied to the side of my boat it's a rib 310 hard v bottom I love it.
Oh that's why you wanted those cleats, I forgot you have the track on the toe rail. Doesn't that get in the way when the jib is fully open with the lines running over the lifelines and stanctions?
No it don't the bottom of the jib sail resting on the safety lines at full sail is very normal it's just part of it if you look at my past sailing videos you should see how the jib rest on the safety lines.
I wanted them because it's the best thing to do without drilling holes on a boat. The track will handle way way more load than a cleat bolted to the deck so it was the best decision to go with Schafer track cleats.
@@sailingabroad6528 mine are too far inboard for that, gotta make a c channel mount. But should work good, I can extend the mount for the stanction relocation also.
As usual informative and good.❤
It was hot that day
You did an awesome job explaining everything that you were doing. Great video
It was hot during the video
Yes, I bet it was! You're hot😢
Excellent demonstration on land......would appreciate more video on different condition and what to do with the jib when jibeing
Ahhh that would be a perfect video I will get one posted about that for sure. Thank you for the input. I will get one done here for you very soon.
It's going to be hot going south in summer! Just a warning. Go north in summer and south in winter!
I'm a person that loves the heat anything between 92 and 104 is perfect
