😊

Wonderful!!!
Sasha King Crimson !!!
The first album the teenage Brian Wilson (Beach Boys) purchased. "The Four Freshmen are the best vocal harmony group there ever was" - Mike Love (Beach Boys).
Excellent! Had not heard this until now. Thank you!
This isn’t Free For All. I think this is Tutti’s Trombones. Whoopsie!
Great !
Lennie Niehaus first met Clint Eastwood when they were in the Army together at Fort Ord between 1952 - 54. This would lead to Lennie writing scores and orchestrating for Eastwood films for over 20 years. Niehaus (KNEE-house) passed away in 2020 at the age of 90.
Just found your channel the other day! I’m a younger guy that’s been listening to this sort of stuff since I was a kid. There are younger folks out there who appreciate it. It was sad to see what happened to Frank at the end of his life but he did such amazing work for Gene Krupa, Georgie Auld, Stan Kenton and many others in his lifetime.
Fascinating Rhythm - George and Ira Gershwin, 1924 from the Broadway musical Lady Be Good
Frank is killing it!
Fine work from all the players. And clever use of still photos to show who's featured at any time!
Thanks !
Love this bright, cool swinging West Coast jazz!

Gene knew that was be bop was the new sensation so gene got into this be bop groove with gerry mulligan and ofcourse frank rosalind krupa really kept his own style and still was admired even to swing bands took back seats to guys like stan kenton enough said
Crazy, man. Just crazy!
Marty Paich is on that cover as arranger. There was a guy that was very prolific and worked for decades with other names ranging from Chet Baker to Peggy Lee, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Barbra Streisand, Sarah Vaughan, etc, etc. His son, David Paich was a founding member of rock band Toto and wrote their hits Rosanna and Africa.
Check out that trumpet section! Shorty knew how to pick them! Three of the best lead players in the business and two of the best soloist (three if you include Pete)!
This is the album that got me hooked on big band jazz in 1959. It's still my favorite.
Red Callender on tuba

A hidden gem... Sonny Clark! Snap shot of the sound of LA in 1956 Just superb... adore Frank and his group
Hi! Thanks for putting all these Rosolino’s online! Incredible stuff! Do you happen to have the entire Modern Jazz Gallery recording digital?
Hi ! Thanks for your support. Only 4 tunes with Russell Garcia Orchestra on these 2 LPs called "Modern Jazz Gallery". You have the detail here : www.discogs.com/fr/release/6429132-Various-Modern-Jazz-Gallery
@@FrankRosolinoStories1926 yes I’m aware, but do you have the rest digital as well? The recordings of Marty Paich, Billy Usselton, John Williams, Warne Marsh and Med Flory?
@@KevinvandenElzen No, sorry... 🙂
MAGNIFICO🍷
One of my all time favorite albums. GREAT personnel.
Thanks so much for posting this music. I have been an avid fan of this genre since the 1950's but you have posted some things I had not heard.
You're welcome... Thanks for supporting this chanel...
Huge chops , too good , it's uncanny some of it , quite amazing what our chops can do , one of my dad's fav he swore he had holes drilled through his teeth lol amazing trombonist
Great musik !
Frank was a force of nature and one of a kind on his instrument. Thank you for keeping his music accessible.
Thank you for supporting this channel. I was 17 when he died so tragically, and it was a shock for me, because I had been listening to him for 2 or 3 years already, and I loved his playing, full of passion and class. With Roberto Machado's discography and my research, I hope to contribute to honoring his memory. Thanks...
Superb ❤
Frank was a genius.
Mix is pretty rough, but you can sense the energy:)
Great live version; thanks!
Why the best music has always the least views?
You know, fans of Stan Kenton and Frank Rosolino are no longer young. It is therefore normal that this affects a very limited audience. But I am still very pleasantly surprised by the number of views generated, because this channel has only existed since March 1, 2024. Thank you...
@@FrankRosolinoStories1926 a friend of mine who was a professional trumpeter was a big fan of Stan Kenton. He died in 2019 at 94 years old. I first listened Rosolino in the album Agora of Paulihno da Costa. So yeah, you got a point
My dad had tons of his records, so I grew up loving him. I'm 73 now, so yeah we are getting fewer and fewer. I still co-lead a big band though, trying to keep the music alive....
Thank you !
You're welcome...
Amazing playing and great arrangements. Thank you for posting!
