Hi, everyone!✨
Welcome to my newest project: Stardust Sequin Bustier Dress.
This bustier dress is inspired by Dior's Pre-fall 2018 collection, especially by its embroidered sequin dress. I fell in love with its silhouette, embroidery and the elegance, so I've been longing to recreate it on my own.
This project began at the start of January and was completed at the end of March, so it took me 3 full months. That makes sense, because I decided to embroider over 15,000 gold sequins on the tulle, using Tambour/Luneville hook✨ :)
I went with gold-champagne theme, bought 15,000 sequins and 6 rolls of gold metallic thread (they're 114m each!), and just kept stitching! After hours and hours of embroidery, I finally was able to reveal it with this video.
This became definitely one of my favorite dresses I made and own. It sparkles, glitters, shimmers...✨ It's just everything I envisioned. I was so happy and content to see how it turned out that I couldn't stop twirling :)
As always, thank you so much for watching my videos. Hope you enjoyed following my journey this time as well. See you in the next video!✨

It’s gorgeous and weaving the tweed is genius
Your work is simply stunning!💗 what type of sewing machine do you use?
BEAUTIFUL! ♥
Volume!!!!!! You whisper - then turn UP the volume before posting. My hearing is normal, new phone on max volume and your whispering voice is too soft! Every ad explodes my ears. Better yet, please speak up.
amazing! stunning embroidery and wonderful project. I think about simillar dress fro few years, hope to one day make my own. Great job!
Beautiful
Beautiful work, I enjoyed watching your video. Can you tell us where you bought those beautiful yarns?
It’s insane this video didn’t go viral it should have at least 1 mil views it’s crazy
Beautiful! 😍An amazing job on weaving and on the dress. Very creative. Very talented. 👏👏
Amazing!
This was such a good tutorial! I made a black one with a patterned lining and I love it. Thank you for making this!
I'm a complete beginner, I'm having a bit of a difficuly time understanding 😢 it looks beautiful though!
WOW! You are brilliant! A math-wiz and an incredible artist. I'm an absolute beginner & plan to soak up all you care to share. Thank you. <3
Aww your tweed is so beautiful! And love the dress as well. 😍 Great job 👏
How do you do for the knots of the small pieces of embrodery to not be noticeable?
This is the most beautiful skirt I have ever seen and you created it masterfully. Thank you for your tutorial. It most certainly is very helpful and seems easy enough to follow. I do however have a question; could you show us how you inserted the zipper?
I was looking for this. I love how Jamie Chua wears her Dior tulle skirts
Wow! This is so gorgeous. You did such a wonderful job, inspiring! I'd like to try making my own tweed for upholstery!
Thanks for the video ❤ how much fabric you used for this dress :)
Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Its so beautiful and it looks fabolous on you!
Wait im still confused how would i figure out how much tulle needed for each layer like width wise because you need more than the original circumference?
It depends on your waist radius. Here's how to calculate the total length of the frills: 1. Calculate how many tiers you'd need by dividing the desired length of your skirt by 2 inches. 2. Calculate each tier's finished length; 1st tier would be π*r, 2nd tier would be π*(r+2 inches), 3rd tier would be π*(r+4 inches),... nth tier would be π*(r+(2*(n-1) inches)). 3. Add all of the finished length measurements of step 2, and multiply it by 4.
@@hyegineer thank you 😊😊

Wish i could sew, i would make all your dresses😭
Beautiful
Beautiful, and your styling was adorable. Very nice video.
So pretty
This is so beautiful. My daughter wants me to make her a dress with the exact colors haha 😅. Do you mind sharing what are the type of yarns you used in this project?
I love how you have the pattern pieces traced on the tool. I would have never thought of that. I’m inspired!
Loved, want to start weaving myself? Where did you get the yarn please
This is extremely dreamy and extremely beautiful! Maybe I might consider attempting to make it myself someday.
This dress is stunning! Congratulations! Did you draft the bustier pattern yourself? (Just came across your channel, will definitely go see what else you've made!) Brava!
Hi hi! Thank you so much for your kind words❤️ The bustier pattern is actually from Daria Patternmaking (called rose cafe bustier), and it’s used in many of my videos :) you could find her patterns in her TH-cam, Etsy and Instagram. Thanks again for your comment🥰 you made my day!
@@hyegineer Aaaah! I suspected it could be the Rose Café, thank you for your reply! I'm working on that pattern right now; your gowns are very inspiring!
Youre so prettyyyy!!!
Hi, the tutorial is great and the skirt is beautiful! How would the measurements change for someone bigger? How can i adjust?
Beautiful 💗
This video is a disaster. Ive destroyes three sets of fabric coz of you. The sound sucks, and you skip many important steps, and just tell about them instead of showing. You should take the video down
Just What I was looking for . Thank You ! 🥰
absolutely beautiful! Love!
Did anyone catch if she explained how to calculate how much you need for your waist size to get this same look? These measurements are specific to get size. For example did she say something like, “ you will need 3x’s your waistband” etc. for sone reason the audio is so quiet on my phone I can barely hear her and I’m just looking for a tutorial that explains how much you need multiply your waist size for this sort of fullness.
Amazing
This is incredible!! I’m going to attempt to make one for graduation 🤞
Beautiful👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It's look amazing. Next time Please make more details video for sewing and embroidery 🥺
BEAUTIFUL GREAT TALENT
Aww how sweet of you🥰 thank you soo much!
This is actually insane! It's so pretty
Aww🥹 thank you so much, how kind of you!
Such gorgeous work! Where did you find the tulle suitable for the embroidery? I've been looking everywheere but can only find the diamond-shaped nylon tulle :(
Hi hi! Thank you so much for your comment❤ I'm so happy to read it :) Oh, the tulle I used was from Mood (moodfabrics.com), I believe it was called Leonardo Soft Nylon Tulle. I'm 100% sure there could be even better tulles for embroidery, but the one from Mood was the best I found yet. Hope this helps!💕
@hyegineer Oh! I was looking at that too but never bought it haha Thank you! All your dresses are so spectacular
Aww of course! Anytime really :)❤️
Absolutely beautiful! Congratulations :)
Aww thank you so much June🥰 I’m so happy to read this comment!
Really beautiful dress🎉❤
Aww🥰 thank you soo much!❤️
How long should the frills be?
It depends on your waist radius, so I can't give out the specific number.
@@hyegineer perfect thank you! That makes total sense!
